Every option costs money. Passports are expensive. That’s the barrier to voting. You must be a certain kind of rich to have a passport and it takes longer than we have time to get one.
$130 for a passport. Plus the time, effort and paperwork.
It costs $65 for your first credit-card sized passport card, $30 for renewals every 10 years. Most people probably blow that much money on junk food and unnecessary items every month.
