Hello Nikki Haley, What’s the Point of Staying in this Non-Race?

As widely expected, Nikki Haley was clobbered on Super Tuesday. What’s the point of hanging on?

Nikki Haley won Vermont, it will be her second and last victory. He other victory was the swamp known as D.C.

A Difficult Night

The Wall Street Journal reports Nikki Haley’s Campaign Responds to Difficult Night, No Mention of Future Plans

The campaign of the former South Carolina governor did not address her plans for the future in a statement late tonight. After losing every state that had been called other than Vermont, Haley spokeswoman Olivia Perez-Cubas said the results showed Trump still had work to do to bring the GOP together. “Unity is not achieved by simply claiming ‘we’re united.’ Today, in state after state, there remains a large block of Republican primary voters who are expressing deep concerns about Donald Trump,” Perez-Cubas said.

Haley is facing pressure to drop out after winning just Vermont and the District of Columbia out of all the states that have voted so far. Former President Donald Trump is on track to secure the nomination as early as March 12.

Questions Abound

  • If and when she drops out will she support Trump?
  • Will she ever drop out?
  • Does she want Trump to lose to Biden?
  • Is she really running for the No Labels ticket?

What’s the Point?

Only a masochist would tolerate this much humiliation knowing full well it was going to happen.

Or is she that delusional to think she was going to win the nomination?

I still have not figured out the angle. But unless its a notion to be on the “No Labels” ticket, hoping against hope to pull enough votes away from Trump that he loses, nothing makes any sense.

Heck, even that makes no sense because it’s more likely she would pull more votes away from Biden.

Perhaps Occam’s Razor (the simplest explanation that easily fits is likely to be correct). But what’s that?

Does typical political arrogance explain everything?

Supreme Court Sides With Trump 9-0

Meanwhile, please note Supreme Court Sides With Trump 9-0, He Will Appear on the Ballot in All States

The 14th Amendment is not self-executing, said the Supreme Court, as expected in this corner. The spotlight now turns to the immunity case. I offer some thoughts.

Biden’s Disapproval Rating Soars to 59 Percent

Also note Biden’s Disapproval Rating Soars to 59 Percent, Trump’s Lead Biggest Yet

In the latest New York Times/Siena Poll Trump has his biggest lead over Biden ever. And Biden’s disapproval rating is a whopping 59 percent. I list 18 key points from the poll.

But she won … Vermont! The Vermont primaries are open to votes from any party registration and in Vermont the Democrats are the Uni-party of power. Its a monopoly from Bernie to Ben and Jerry. Actual Republican votes proliferate in rural areas. Interesting though that the green, woke mob in Burlington would vote for a Republican neocon, even if the vote is just more woke kabuki theater. Innit though.

Given a binary decision, even half of Republicans will vote against Trump. Only the people who like their snake oil are with him.

Only the people that clearly see the last vestiges of a free republic before it falls off the same government grifting that hates their own people and actively pursues policy against said people, self inflicted fiscal disaster and global nonstop warring cliff as Rome are with him

There I fixed it for you.

She didn’t quit. Her donors quit. If they would have kept egging her on she would have kept taking their money. Some suspect they paid for this sham to understand how many fake ballots that can’t be audited they will need to conjure up. Likely some truth to it.

Lucky lady : in the next 2Y/3Y SPX [1M] might drop lower, sharply lower, to recession territory.
The German DAX : definitely lower.

Now that Haley has dropped out, will she endorse Trump? There is a similar question about some big name Democrats who have not yet endorsed Biden. I think the reason is endorsing any candidate who may not make it to election day would reflect badly on the person endorsing the candidate, as well as the party. The rule is: don’t commit until odds support the action.

– The rule is: don’t commit until odds support the action.

What an absolutely horrible rule, unless your not honest, trying to play on the Public sentiment and are not displaying support, but rather playing the Game of “Go Along, To Get Along” and that is the primary problem with our Politicians today.

They are untrue to themselves first, and that’s a problem.

After that debacle of a disastrous campaign, she is not only gone from the current Presidential race, but probably politics in general, unless she switches parties.

She will never in her lifetime, win a Republican contest of any kind after that non-display of Republican Conservatism and Party Unity. She is a RINO, and will always be a RINO, so no self respecting Republican Voter would ever pull the lever for whatever she is…

I consider myself a self-respecting Republican and have never voted for Trump.I have voted against Hillary and against Biden. I put loyalty to America above loyalty to a party. Right now I’ll vote for anyone that opposes Biden.

It’s truly breathtaking to witness a huge nation headed for disasters (plural) that ought to be obvious to anyone – but apparently aren’t.

Please Lord, give us a decent VP and then get rid of Trump. I’d say the same for Biden but that’s worse yet.

I agree she would gobble up democrat votes if she ran in the general. She performed relatively well in liberal states(VT, CO, MA) and got destroyed in conservative states.

Her only choice is to drop out. Buh bye Birdbrain!

I thought Nicki was a Trojan Horse for the Dems to quietly retire Biden and Harris? The crux of the plan would appear to rest on Trump being imprisoned by now, thus leaving Haley as the sole GOP nominee.

I hope she hangs in because I’m in the anyone but Trump camp and she is certainly better than Biden.

She’s only better the Trump if you work for the MIC.

if she had volunteered her two draft age children to her Forever War it might have improved her showing.

As long as George Sorrows pays for it, she will stay in.
She should save some of it because nobody needs her after this.

She is likely done politically, so she is probably thinking to just keep going, make herself known more not just in the US but also globally, so that afterwards ahe can land a cushy job at a hedgefund or PE firm where they can take her to meetings with big clients to impress them.

Would having her at a meeting impress clients or repulse them?

Somebody must have offered her a bunch of money to stay in, I think. Enough to retire in “comfort”, I would say.

Oh, MY, do these candidates get to KEEP campaign funds? WHAT?
Maybe we should all run for Pres and try to lure in some big Bucks from Soros.
