This site could be renamed to TrumpTalk. Recently quite a many posts have been Trump bashing and whathedone and whatnot. I’d rather put some effort to find out how the American politics has come so low in all respects.
Trump is not the reason, he is a symptom of what has been going on. My guess is that whether he will be voted for second term or not, the problems will not disappear. That’s why it would be nice to read more analysis than this kind of articles. Or giving some food for thought regarding how things could be improved and I believe that the answer is not Joe Biden.
We know how it came to be this low. It’s been a two pronged failure with the biggest problem being our response to 2008, QE to the moon and zombifying banks/corporations. Once we chose this path to financial ruin, it encouraged people who want to take advantage of the malaise to pursue cultural grievances above all else.
The other failure is more mundane, a decades-long cynical effort to turn news into a consumer product and silo people into distinct groups. Taibbi describes this well with his latest book “Hate, Inc” (has Maddow and Hannity on the cover).
I was critical of a post made by the TDS inflicted author. He was too thin skinned to post a sensible rebuttal, so he banned me.
What a complete disaster this blog has become. It used to have rational discussion of economic events. It no longer does. No interesting guests, no opposing views tolerated, not even economics as a focus anymore.
Just a TDS point of view, with an author who sits around watching Twitter to try and find something to post. What a mess.

Why worry about it? Thanks to Trump, and his lack of following normal safety precautions, there are three Republican Senators with Covid. There will probably never be a vote on her.
I count 30 of the white-wall-dark-jacket pictures in this posting and 26 of the wood-wall-white-shirt pictures. That many images makes both them and the comments true and accurate.
On the other hand, I just wasted 15 minutes of my life trying to find the actual images as represented by whatever cloud provider hosts the image files. No such luck. But, then, I have to run a separate browser for Twitter. And, it’s telling that the Twitter postings copied here do not contain link-backs to what they talk about. “Telling” of the quality of the Twitter account generallly, that is, not necessarily of the quality of the content.
That said, I don’t see the photo-shop that VirtualAnnette sees. I see the edge of a table. And, blank paper? Maybe. So what? I’d think it would be SOP to push a blank sheet of paper at POTUS for any picture meant for publication, unless the thing being signed is the reason for the picture.
So, yet another kerfuffle. Alternate headline: “US President has Photo-Op! Breaking news you need at 11!”

Ignore EXIF data. People concluding anything interesting from EXIF data are likely to be those who found meaning in file time-stamps on Hillary’s email.
Hillary emails were DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) authenticated, tamper proof, unless you can prove how the mathematicians all flunked encryption. Anybody can test it for themselves (one way encryption hash over the contents).
So far as I know, file time-stamps, not content. The output from

EXIF and meta data in general can be a great help in trapping the average criminal.

At first I thought the binder wasn’t showing in the reflection, but on closer inspection it is. On the other side, we see tops of the hands in the reflection, so I think the angle would match here.
Plus it’s a stupid thing to fake. “Here, someone give me a folder real quick so it looks like I’m working.”
It would be the easiest thing in the world to have an actual folder. Easier than photoshopping.

Riddle me this, geniuses, if the binder is blocking his hand, why can we see the entire reflection of that corner? Its a 1″ binder, that corner is less than 1/4 inch. The top of is hand is at least 3 inches above the table.
If it were supposed to block his hand, in this case, you would see the top of it. If it were full, it would completely block out the hand, you can tell by looking at the tall side and its reflection. Such TDS, keep grasping, you only make yourselves look stupid.

But far more convincing is the fact that the two photos were taken in different rooms with him wearing different clothes just less than 10 minutes apart. Seems like a quick change artist and switching rooms for photo shooting is a tad strenuous for someone on some pretty steeply powerful drugs and sick with Covid.

The math works. The top of his hand is a good 3 inches above the table, the end of that 1″ binder is less than 1/4 in with only a few papers in it. It is easy to make unsupported broad generalizations. Let’s take one recent case. During the debate, Trump mentioned a payment of $3.5 million from the wife of the ex-mayor of Moscow, to a firm Hunter Biden was associated with, or some such. Biden denied this vociferously. One of them is lying. Which one?
Nobody thinks he’s honest or a great president. They just prefer him or the outcome of having him to the alternative outcomes. Was Hillary or Bush honest. Only Carter was pretty honest, and everybody really hated him.
