Things Are Going So Well for Biden That …

Let’s count the ways.

Key Ideas

  • Voters are now more likely to see the Republican Party as capable of governing, tackling big issues and keeping the country safe compared with the Democratic Party.
  • By a 9-point margin, voters also see the Democratic Party as more ideologically extreme than the GOP.
  • The trends against the Democratic Party are largely driven by worsening perceptions among its own voter base, which suggests that the party will have to rely more than ever on negative partisanship to keep control of the White House.

Those are not my thoughts. That’s what the latest Morning Consult poll shows.

In a significant reversal from the last presidential election year, U.S. voters are now more likely to see the Republican Party as capable of governing, keeping the country safe and tackling the big issues compared with the Democratic Party. These crossing trend lines provide a stark contrast from the lead-up to 2020, when Morning Consult surveys showed public opinion on the same questions was more static.

Both parties are also trending in different directions on two other characteristics that voters favored Democrats on in 2020. Voters have become less likely to see the GOP as stale, and more likely to say this descriptor fits the Democratic Party. And over that same time frame, voters increasingly say the GOP is responsible.

It’s not just that some voters have lost faith in the Democratic Party’s stewardship of the country — they also see the party as moving asymmetrically away from ideological moderation.

By an almost double-digit margin, voters are now more likely to say the Democratic Party is “too liberal” than they are to say the GOP is “too conservative.” That’s another big change from 2020, when roughly equivalent shares viewed both parties as too ideologically extreme.

Claim Everything is Working

People elected Biden (barely) for two reasons. The first being he wasn’t Trump. The second being they expected him to be a moderate.

Then instead of bringing the nation together as promised, Biden morphed into the Progressive’s dream candidate stoking inflation with every decision.

Voters are upset. They want action on the border. They want better schools. They are fearful of inflation.

They don’t want to give up their gas stove. They don’t want to be forced into a high-priced EV when the infrastructure isn’t ready.

They did not expect Biden to be like Trump.

Biden is telling people how great the Bidenomics economy is, how he’s providing the most jobs, that he is best this and the best that, and the economy is humming, and he is bringing inflation down at the fastest pace in history.

Whatever.

It seems so hollow because it is hollow. And voters see right through it.

Other than being much more polite in his delivery, Biden may as well have said, “I built a wall and Mexico paid for it”.

Somehow it seems harder to lie and get away with it when you are in power than when you aren’t.

Bidenomics In a Nutshell

  1. Hand out free money via unwarranted subsidies to ease the pain of stupid regulations
  2. Stoke massive inflation in the process
  3. Brag that it is working.

Here’s the deal. You can run against Trump once and win if your key message is “I’m not Trump.”

But can you do it twice with nothing more than inflation and a more polite delivery to back it up?

When will there be a legitimate candidate that makes it to the general election. If it’s Biden vs Trump again, Biden will win with ease because multiple states are now not going to allow Trump to be on the ballot. The Republican party has been hijacked. They could easily win if not for Trump as many indepedents and moderates would vote for anyone but Trump. Even Newsom is ready to move on from Biden but won’t publicly say so. America needs a indepedent party ticket that ends the theatrics of the far right and left.

WHO VOTED FOR THIS MAN? You know who you are. We who did not vote for him knew that he was a no good criminal. But there are so many people in this country who think they are smart but have not one ounce of discernment or common sense.

Anyone who voted for Brandon really owns what is happening, even WW3 that he seems to be pushing for as a means to stay in power and print more fake money to keep the Global Debt Ponzi going.

There has never been an audit of the US gold reserves. Has anyone ever seen it. Treasury SecretaryManchin and his bride visited it and had the media cover them after they exited Ft. Knox with their thumbs up. Did they take a picture of it with their phone. Guess not, since I haven’t seen it on Facebook.

Watching the daily GOP clown show in the House, these are puzzling survey results. But the Dems can still count on voters eventually shifting toward Biden once they have to face hard fact that the alternative to Biden is an indicted (and by then maybe convicted) fraudster and rapist.

See these indictment on Fraud because supposedly the Trump organization over stated the value of assets on loan applications, can only be seen as weaponization of the DOJ against the opposition party and candidate. As a corruption of the election process, and a slap in the face to the will of the people, this is a serious crime the DOJ is undertaking, not their first either.
Valuation of assets is not an easy task nor a science. Those putting out loans (and entering any business deal for that matter) have a responsibility for their own due diligence, or they own the results they may receive.

Did Trump default on these loans and stiff the lenders? That seems relevant, do you know the answer?

In terms of “rape” there is absolutely nothing. Sure Trump boofed other women while married….many rich and powerful men have women throw themselves at them…as did the extortionist Stormy and her Barista ripping off Lawyer who was allowed to go off the hook on the $5M of employment taxes that he took from baristas but didn’t give to the Government with some protection via his dual nested LLC’s.

Those with Trump Derangement Syndrome will not be accepted as just being emotional….they are giving the country to the communists while the real narcissists and sociopaths are controlling the news you hear. Shame on you.

For a seasoned real estate developer, it can’t be too difficult to figure out whether an apartment he owns is 30,000 square feet or 10,000 square feet. How is capitalism supposed to work if people are as dishonest as claiming their apartment is 3x times bigger than it actually is, even on papers they personally sign? And Trump has declared bankruptcy six times already … so it’s not like he is a guy you can trust to be financially competent. No need need to have Trump derangement syndrome to realize that he has managed to con almost half of Americans.

There are a lot of puts and takes when it comes to EV’s. But the trend is for EV’s to get less expensive over time and for charging infrastructure to improve and expand. Some of the best EV charging infrastructure is available at your local Wal Mart thank you very much. I do wish sleepy Joe would do less to distort markets. But to say we are less safe and secure under Biden is a bit of a stretch. As Milton Friedman explained to us 40 years ago, illegal immigration, Biden’s soft underbelly, will continue so long as it is remains illegal. The reason is that the illegal benefits through employment and the employer benefits through lower cost labor. 3% of this labor pool gets in legally. Large swaths of our economy requires this labor as well. We need a rethink of both the border and immigration. Biden ain’t perfect. But he is mostly rational.

A lot can happen between now and the elections. A cold winter in Europe and $10 gallon gasoline. Russia dominating Ukraine. Biden or Trump having a stroke or heart attack. Major economic hit. RFK Jr is gonna shake things up a bit, never underestimate the power of a well run grass roots campaign especially with folks like Trump and Biden being the front runners and the state of things here in the US politically. Both parties are shifting to a more extreme base leaving a lot of room in the center

Audit elections or do not. No try. Ukrainians can tell you all about what happens when the vote of the people is not honored. Elections there are cancelled along with all opposition parties. Say something about it and you will be behind bars. Say nothing and you will be on the frontline. Only thing to decide is how you want to die, at least for men and boys 16-60.

Can we please get an article that addresses the fact that Biden doesn’t have the mental capacity to run this country? You could even have a part 2 about Fetterman.
The article can address all of the complex decisions a President must decide and then be direct and straightforward how Biden lacks the ability to make those decisions.
The whole point to the article would be to stop blaming anything on Biden because we all know he’s not deciding anything. The secondary point would be to blame everything on who’s responsible for those actions.

Exactly, the authoritarian leftists (collectively the commies, the socialists, the marxist, the fascists) are mostly running things. And the ones that are only part sociopaths and have some development of super ego, can rest knowing they are saving the world by killing humans to mitigate “climate change”. Its shameful

The average person/voter, but leftists not so much, are learning that eventually one can no more defy the laws of economics than the laws of physics. And yet Leftist’s still think there is this magical and massive pot of money somewhere that they can redistribute and gain more power. That golden goose died a long time ago. For all you Vladimir’s out there, figure it out. There is no nobility in bankruptcy. One would think you could figure that out over hundreds of years of history.

Agree that fools think he can. Nobody can. It’s simply a matter of how bad things can and will get. The left has no problem, and seems to actually be a goal of theirs, with tearing the whole system down. They would take the debt to 60 trillion if they think could get away with it.

Bankruptcy in am America that has onshored its manufacturing and secured its borders will be better than bankruptcy in an America with fewer decent paying jobs and millions of more immigrants.

Yes, of course bankruptcy is going to suck either way, but one scenario is better than the other.

The US and States have no chapter for them in the Bankruptcy Code. Thus, they cannot go bankrupt, but they can default. Arkansas did that in 1829, defaulted, but paid it all back by the 1950s.

Apparently, Kennedy has just declared that he will run as an Independent.
This will almost certainly mean that NOBODY will get the 270 electoral votes necessary to be declared the “winner”.

IMHO, this will result in such utter chaos that it will require a temporary military takeover to sort things out.

Should be fun!

Ross perot got 19% of the popular vote and clinton still got 370 electoral votes. With a couple exceptions you need to get the most votes in a state to get any electoral college votes. Again I ask, what state could he possibly win?

Bam_Man

Perot was running against a fairly popular, competent incumbent President and a Democrat who was a highly skilled politician.

Kennedy is running against a sitting President who is a demented criminal and traitor and a likely Republican candidate who half the country will never vote for.

There is no comparison between 1992 and 2024.

I see Kennedy receiving votes from moderate Democrats, and splitting independent voters. Kennedy may win some participation electoral votes, but not enough to have no election winner. Moderate Republicans will hold their noses for Trump because checks and balances will contain any bad policies he proposes.

Seriously, is Kennedy going to carry any states..get at least 35% of the vote? His support seems more nationwide rather than regional. Look at 1948. Strom Thurmond and Henry Wallace both got about 1.1 million votes (Truman got 24 million, Dewey just under 22 million) But Thurmond carried 4 Southern states (Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia) for 39 electoral votes. Wallace got 0.

If Kennedy runs and isn’t killed as Biden is hoping by denying him Secret Service protection (although since the Secret Service can’t identify whose cocaine was left in the White House), the question is does he take away more votes from Biden or the Republican nominee.

In communist countries there is really only one “party” to vote for. No other party gets to play.

In the US, there are really only 2 parties to vote for. No other party gets to play.

Both parties try to distinguish themselves from the other, but really, the differences are minor. So they have to scream those differences as loud as possible in order to get the voter to notice.

Roughly one third of the population thinks the Democrats are “better”. Another third thinks the Republicans are “better”. Supporters of both parties have been duped into believing that if “their” preferred party can win the next election, that real change will happen and that life will somehow get better for them personally.

What a load of crap. After 50 years of bouncing from one party to the other, how have either of these parties made YOUR life better?

If you want a better life, forget the political nonsense, put your nose to the grindstone, and put your time and effort into doing things that truly make your life better. For me that means focusing on my health, wealth, family and friends. My time spent on this blog is devoted to my wealth. The focus for you, might be something else. But focusing on politics, and trying to promote one party over the other, is a waste of time.

Now, time for something important; a long hike with family.
