On migration to WordPress, they missed some articles. They added them today and each sent out an email.
This will not happen again.
As you can see, they are all old articles.

no big deal. if getting email barrage is worst part of my day, i had a great day. i barely noticed……….keep up the great blog. an ignore feature would be great. i’m sure others agree. i’m hoping people want to ignore me…….as much as i do them.
Shit happens.
We love you!
Appreciate the content, and responsiveness to requests for articles.
Glitches happen and cannot be stopped 100%. I was amused at the number of emails I received but because I know how to read and knew that you were moving host locations I understood exactly what happened and didn’t get all bent out of shape over what was at most, an annoyance.
I enjoy the content and it matches my interests. Plus I learn stuff here.
How many different publishing / comments systems have you used in the history of this blog?
Blogger to WordPress to Maven back to WordPress
I may have had two different comment systems under original Blogger
In general, WordPress is the best.
I would still be using Feedburner to send emails but Google canceled it. They should have upgraded it and charged for it.
We failed to see that backdated posts would send a slew of emails.
Have you considered moving to Substack? Just wondering.
Not really
That would be a model where I need to charge subscriptions.
I never wanted to do that
Thank you for keeping it free.
I try to spread it to as many people as possible.
Technical glitches is nothing to worry about, it happens all the time.
Understood, but you don’t have to enable the paid option for your posts. Here are the Substack’s options:
For readers:
Subscription plans, such as monthly and annual, are set by writers. Substack won’t charge you any additional fees and we accept most major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Readers in Europe may see the option to pay using direct debit and non-credit card methods such as iDEAL, Bancontact, and Sofort.
For writers:
Publishing is free on Substack– no matter how many subscribers you have!

Ok but I lose ad revenue replaced by nothing
No problem.
Obviously we are no longer in complete control.
The machines are gaining on us.
It will get worse.
Sorry.
I’ve tried to unsubscribe from your mailings. Why is it not available as is the case with other web mailings?
Pleas remove my address from further mail.
Thanks,
Stephen
Flood of Emails – Apologies

The unsubscribe likely happened, but not until the barrage finished. Hopefully people who unsubscribe reconsider.
Highlight emails and then hit delete.
Technological glitches are common in IT and cannot be avoided forever.
Mish has constantly provided high quality content.
No reason to unsubscribe.
Thanks Much
Appreciated!
Don’t think so You have shown me your true colors and they are dark
To make up for your lack of vigilance you must post three more beautiful pictures of places you hike to. Then I will forgive you.
Coming up
I saw the article on Hurricane Irma heading for Miami — gasoline had run out! — and I had to look it up and it said Irma landed in 2017. Glitch. 🙂
