Hours after threatening war crimes to open the strait comes this amazing taco.
Buffoonery in the Fifth Dimension
The Wall Street Journal reports Trump Tells Aides He’s Willing to End War Without Reopening Hormuz
President Trump told aides he’s willing to end the U.S. military campaign against Iran even if the Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed, administration officials said, likely extending Tehran’s firm grip on the waterway and leaving a complex operation to reopen it for a later date.
In recent days, Trump and his aides assessed that a mission to pry open the chokepoint would push the conflict beyond his timeline of four to six weeks. He decided that the U.S. should achieve its main goals of hobbling Iran’s navy and its missile stocks and wind down current hostilities while pressuring Tehran diplomatically to resume the free flow of trade. If that fails, Washington would press allies in Europe and the Gulf to take the lead on reopening the strait, the officials said.
There are also military options the president could decide on, but they are not his immediate priority, they said.
Isn’t that Special
Mind you, this amazing TACO, trump’s biggest yet comes hours after Trump pledged to obliterate Iran if it did not open the strait.
Tonight Trump said opening the strait is not his top priority. Less than a day ago it was.
Now isn’t that special?
Truth Social
Truth Social: The United States of America is in serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME to end our Military Operations in Iran. Great progress has been made but, if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately “Open for Business,” we will conclude our lovely “stay” in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalinization plants!), which we have purposefully not yet “touched.” This will be in retribution for our many soldiers, and others, that Iran has butchered and killed over the old Regime’s 47 year “Reign of Terror.” Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

For details and discussion, please Trump Unquestionably Threatens to Commit Mass War Crimes Against Iran
Trump is tired of this war. So, are war crimes the final solution?
We Finally Have Goals!
I am pleased to report that we finally have goals.
Eight Hours Ago
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said “The Strait of Hormuz will be open. When this operation is over, it will be open — and it will be open one way or another.”
It might behoove Trump to coordinate with his Secretary of State once in a while.
Big Wheels Spinning
The Mistake Is Thinking Anyone Wins
Reflections on Winners and Losers
Trump feels the same way about trade. He always thinks of winners and losers. He claims we’re being ripped off.
In fact, trade is a win-win setup and tariffs are a lose-lose prospect.
Bullying allies is a lose-lose prospect.
So much of Trump is totally lose-lose. That’s why Republicans are going to be blown out of the water in the Midterms.
But hey, futures are up as I type (for now), which is likely the reason for this taco. But it does not fix the mess Trump made. The energy markets remain broken.
Meanwhile Trump’s constant flip-flopping and contradictions makes him the laughingstock of the world.
Trump on Negotiations
“We will not negotiate. Of course they’re negotiating. Who wouldn’t negotiate,” said Trump.
To recap. The negotiations are going well despite the fact that Trump isn’t negotiating, but Iran is, and who wouldn’t, even though Trump is not sure he’s willing to make a deal.
In a Short Span
- Trump to ‘Obliterate’ Iran’s Power Plants if Strait Not Open in 48 Hours
- Trump Pauses Destruction of Iran’s Energy Plant for 10 Days
- Trump is not sure he’s willing to make a deal.
- Trump Unquestionably Threatens to Commit Mass War Crimes Against Iran unless the strait is opened.
- Trump says he no longer cares if the strait is open
Those all happened within a week.
The world is dealing (rather refusing to deal) with a madman.

Good, I hope so. The sooner the senseless loss of good people’s lives, destruction, and threats stop, the better. Higher energy prices will be a consequence and hopefully a reminder to never foolishly start another war.
So, the U.S. withdraws in 2-3 weeks and leaves Israel to fight alone? How does that work? We know that Israel can’t win a long war of attrition, and the global economy cannot endure the Strait of Hormuz remaining closed for a long time. With the U.S. out of the way, what will Israel do to end this war QUICKLY, given that it’s conventional weapons stockpiles are close to exhausted? Hmmm? Can you guess?
Where is sippy cup Joe when we really need him. Forget the Thump. It’s all the Beltway and Brussels making us think they run the world.
Of course Taco can turn and exit the scene.
But the Persians will go on destroying any vestiges of Israeli/American military/economic infrastructure in the area till it’s done. Hell, as the fools run out of assets, it will be progressively easier going.
Welcome to Epstein’s Follies
Trump Assesses Catastrophic Options
Some folks still believe it is about saving 60 millions Iranian or about securing USA or doing Gods work. In reality it is all about quelling Epstein files.
all those cult members are trying to spin those chaotic actions into some logic only to need to do mental 180 degree change to adjust to changing narrative.
As I mentioned many times before. Never associate yourself with narcissist as you at the end will be deeply embarrassed. Such person has no empathy or any feeling of shame and just “reading the room” to fit him best.
Long term all those actions are just disaster to USA credibility. Will take year to recover if still possible given changing world.
The Chickenshit in Chief
Called it. Hes taking his marbles and heading home. Leaving a mess for someone else to clean up.
Wonder if Israel is done with its operation.
It was always Iran’s goal to take Hormuz. They were waiting until they had nuclear weapons. But seeing no other countries are capable or willing to stop them, why wait?
The Joint Chiefs of Staff had wargamed this out decades ago. Iran would close the Straits and there wasn’t much that the United States could do about it.
It’s like reading the book 1984. Everything Trump says is completely fabricated without any regard to reality.
Trump’s the world’s best nuclear arms salesman.
Iran wouldn’t have been attacked if they had nuclear weapons.
Everyone can see that for a 2nd time, after Ukraine.
Also, the US is probably going to learn some hard lessons about why a world full of nukes is a bad idea.
Ukraine’s independence would never have been recognized without scuttling Soviet-controlled nukes. As it is, there is no longer any Russian recognition of the state of Ukraine, since their recognition was predicated on: neutral, non-aligned, non-nuclear & friendly relationships (the original was called the Friendship Act or something similar). In fact, these predicates were part of the constitution until the CIA put the Nazi Banderites in charge.
Is this not what you were asking for?
In any case, as with everything Trump, I’ll believe it when I see it.
When Trump first attacked Iran, many of us understood that he had made our country less safe, somehow.
His interference with trade, plus his tariffs, has put a big bull’s-eye on the US.
This is certainly good for Russia.
It seems Trump learned nothing or possibly the wrong lessons from his use of bankruptcy as a business plan. He has over leveraged the US militarily with his Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba fiascos and over leveraged the country financially with his big beautiful legislative blunder, doing nothing to mitigate rising health care costs, and trashing our beneficial international trade agreements and relations. All of these will push the debt and deficit to even higher levels on an escalating path that will result in the private sector funding the public sector to demand higher interest rates on money lent to the government to compensate for loss of dollar purchasing power that will put serious pressure on GDP. I think it is remarkable that he got all this done in just over a year; it will take a decade if not more to unwind his “accomplishments”. All these Tacos are the result of him realizing he cannot pass his blunders on to creditors via bankruptcy and now has to salvage what he can within market boundaries.
I do give him credit for regaining control of the southern border, but he has wasted most of that via his over aggressive deportation tactics far exceeding the stated goal of worst criminals and gang members resulting in turning away much of the Hispanic voting block he courted. His whole presidency has turned much of the American voting public away from the republican party not only via his actions, but failure of the party to reign him in. This has opened the door for lunatics potentially worse than trump, if possible, to get a larger foothold in our political system.
My two cents
It’s funny but true, everything Trump does has bankruptcy as the end game
So a political pundit actually said last night that Trump keeping Iran guessing was a brilliant strategy! If only I had a taco for every time Taco tacoed, I would be a well feed man.
I would like to know how this will affect the Iranian sanctions going forward.
if they keep the strait, they will take payment in Iranian rial. I think the sanctions will be lifted as they would be ineffective
I’m so tired, boss
Think how tired those Israeli soldiers are? Killing children, entire families, soldiers and grandparents gets old.
Whatever happened to the $200 billion supplemental request by the Pentagon? Kegsbreath announced it around the 18th of March and since then – nothing. I would think they would want that approved before any ground troops are sent into action.
they’re still working on the bill last i heard.
may have a better chance of passing with American War dead.
its Trump. there is no plan for anything, there is nothing to crystal ball.
I think you need to use the “Taco Town” ad for Saturday Night Live to capture Trump on Iran. Instead of extra toppings/ingredients for the taco, it would feature the contradictory goals and accomplishments.

The secretary of war was caught trying to buy a defense contractor ETF at Black Rock a couple of weeks before the Epstein Coalition attacked Iran. The trade didn’t go through because Black Rock didn’t carry that ETF. Where else does he have trade accounts? Where do cabinet members have trade accounts? We the proles demand to know.
PS: I know, like the oligarchs give a foot.
This creates the possibility of an Israeli false flag attack. They’ve done it before (USS Liberty).
The last time a President demanded total surrender he dropped two nuclear bombs to get his way. Will history repeat itself?
It was NOT an unconditional surrender as the Emperor was retained. The demand for unconditional surrender prolonged the fights against both Germany and Japan. I believe that it was pushed by FDR to reassure Stalin that the US/UK would not pursue a separate peace with Germany. Though that is exactly what Stalin attempted with Germany.
“If we’d lost the war, we’d all have been prosecuted as war criminals.” (Gen. Curtis LeMay)
it appears that an increasingly desperate Trump is lowering his ambition. Instead of winning the war, he hopes to expand the number of stakeholders. And by that, spread out the blame for this debacle.
Once Cheeto sees the positive reaction in the Dow this morning, he’s gonna want out of this mess “even moar.”
Question: Will Bibi let him? Israel is getting pounded, so they probably need to take a break to rearm — or as Bibi calls it, “a ceasefire.”
Question: Will Iran press their advantage?
Answer: Indubitably yes
good lets end operation Epsein so we can get refocused on the epstein files. I guess the war distraction bought enough document shredding time.
Modern wars are not decided by how much damage you can inflict but by how much cost you can bear. The idiots in charge of the US are firing gold bars at underground bunkers and think they are winning.
Meanwhile, Congress gave itself a much needed vacation. https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/gop-dhs-funding-airports/
This is not over by a long shot. The man baby thinks he can just walk away, but he’s going to learn that he’s stuck in a sticky, oily mess.
Every time he pulls back they will kick the hornet’s nest and the world economy will convulse, with the associated decoupling from the American economy, leading to a lower standard of living for Americans. Been happening for a while, even though the flagwrappers don’t want to believe it.
Trump is a simpleton in a complex world, and is totally destroying what made America rich and powerful.
But America gets what it votes for, in this case dumber and poorer.
Sad
? Tar baby
Sounds like Trump leaked Fake News to the press. Don’t fall for it Mish.
the foreign policy equivalent of declaring bankruptcy.
Hopefully.
we will see what he says next week.
PHOTO OF THE DAY: Tehran was loading five (5!!!) oil tankers simultaneously yesterday at Kharg Island, as the US-Israel-Iran war enters into its fifth week.
https://x.com/JavierBlas/status/2038542582918037918
Before the war, Iran was exporting 1.1M barrels of oil at $47 a barrel
Right now they’re exporting 1.5M barrels of oil at $120 a barrel
Excellent work, Donald!!!
You have the problem correct. Let us work on a solution. Mish’s comment is about What Trump wants isn’t a winner. But what is:
Mish’s comment fallows: He decided that the U.S. should achieve its main goals of hobbling Iran’s navy and its missile stocks and wind down current hostilities while pressuring Tehran diplomatically to resume the free flow of trade.
I propose that rather than blowing up Kharg Island that that we should make it
unusable.
That can be done if Trump sends the US Navy to close the Strait of Hormuz to all traffic. A few torpedos will get then job done and no war crimes take place.
How do you differentiate for your audience between “blowing up” and “making unusable?” To someone who isn’t quite as perceptive as you, those two things might just look too similar. Is elucidation in our future?
only problem with that plan is Trump and his kin have a lot of money tied up in the Gulf that will go away if he does that.
so no dice there.
At present, there are no tankers with AIS transponders at Kharg. Only a few tugboats have transponder on and there have been no tankers at Kharg for three weeks (at least).
If you look closely the photo on X does not show the damage to the military areas on Kharg that were bombed.
Iran appears to be filling only tankers at Lavan Island & Bandar Abbas. Iraq is filling between 5 and 11 tankers at any given moment and is the strongest production in the gulf according to Shiptracker.org.
Saudi Arabia haș upped pipeline flow and is sending 7 million barrels to the Red Sea loading platforms per day.
There is a tanker named UMA flagged under Guyana that is just entering the Strait of Hormuz with Kharg as its destination. Keep an eye on this one!
No, no, no.
Don’t joke TACO. This is not a child play.
I long the oil.
How can you stop the war unilaterally? Means surrender.
There are 3 factions participating in this war.
You have to continue.
You have to negotiate.
Get permission from BB first.

“White House insiders are saying Trump is “shocked” that attacking Iran didn’t result in the jump in approval polls George W. Bush received after 9/11, that he was assured by son-in-law Jared Kushner that he would, and that had he known he’d receive such backlash he never would’ve done it.”
The quote is interesting because it’s from a far right influence (breck worsham.) It’s an example of the schism developing between the Tucker Carlson branch of the party and the old guard neocons and Christian nationalists. They are all scum so it’s gratifying to see them turn on each other.
Thanks for the source!…I didn’t have it (oops)…I guess I could have Googled it though, but I’m an immigrant, so I am inherently lazy. lolz
Thumbs up for your serious part of the comment. We know you’re not lazy but that was a good LOL
If Trump ends the war against Iran and the Strait of Hormuz remains closed …
Here is what that means ==>>
The Iranian five conditions for ending the war:
1- The acts of “aggression” coming to an end. ✓
2- Ensuring the war will not recur. ✓
3- A payment of war damages and reparations. Partially ✓ with the lifting of sanctions on Iranian Oil.
4- The ending of the war across all fronts involving all resistance groups. ✓
5- Iranian sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz. ✓✓✓✓✓
“5” is also used to pay for “3”.
So lets get this straight. Trump starts a war with Iran, without consulting his allies/ex-allies. Makes the situation much worse than it was before. Now wants to run away and leave the rest of the world to clean up his mess. If this is how he runs his business life, no wonder he’s had so many failures!!
If other countries of the World are unable/unwilling to defend themselves when Iran attacks them…why should we bother after our objectives are met ???
Lol no objectives were met. 😂
and Iran wont attack anyone as they are a regional power and have no desire to.
other than those 2 points, his post was spot on.
You’ve got a damn cheek – so idiot Trump goes in & screws up the world’s most vital shipping lane & expects the rest of us to clear up his mess? Oh, so YOUR objectives have been met, well bully for you, you arrogant pillock.
Iran didn’t attack anyone, until the United States attacked them.
Otherwise, the Gulfies crying about getting attacked is like whining you lent your car to a known rapist and the victim broke the windows out when she fought back.
He bankrupted his casinos times six.
These were not personal bankruptcy but his company.
His share holders and his employees suffered.
But he himself made some profit.
He runs the country the same as his business.
He, his family, business partners made profits but not the country.
Now he is going to leave this mess to the American people.
Exactly the same.
Create dumpster fire, put out dumpster fire, or not, leave the rest to anyone else.
If only anyone knew about all of this before he was elected.
Trump is finally recognizing reality. The US military cannot take the Straight of Hormuz currently and boots on the ground anywhere in Iran would be next level insanity. To attempt so would trash the western financial system, get a lot of US troops killed, and would lose some rather expensive floating coffins…
Or he’s talking out of one side of his mouth while getting ready to put boots on the ground. Remember he was “negotiating” with Iran when he started bombing them. The Iranians remember. I think as time passes, Trump “recognizing reality” becomes less likely, not more.
Yep…Trump is like a bad gambler. When he is losing, he will double-down and his losses will accelerate until he is forced to leave the table.
Interesting to see that stopping the development of nuclear weapons no longer is an official goal. Just keep moving the goalposts closer and closer to reality.
Iran’s decentralized military is not likely to get the message. They will continue to fight and it will likely trigger another round…
This is not over IMO.
So much drama – everyone around the globe is in a dysfunctional and toxic relationship they did not chose. No matter where you go, it surrounds you. It has increased workloads, stress levels, and fatigue.
Everytime we seem to reach media fatigue, the headlines get more bizzare.
I wonder how much this has reduced global productivity gains.
Around me it seems people are just going thru the motions get up go to work go to the store maybe go out to an event and get home Everyone just trying to get thru it all.
Everyone I talk to is just resigned and disgusted. It truly is disgusting.

My initial gut feeling when this war started a month ago was that it was a move against China (as was the Venezuela “narco-terrorist” sham oil grab). The recent attacks on Russian oil export facilities by U.S. proxy Ukraine also are ultimately aimed at China.
3 hrs ago on CNBC: “Oil prices reverse course to fall as traders assess Trump comments on Iran war “.
Not so fast. Latest headline is Iran just attacked a Kuwaiti oil tanker.
=he recent attacks on Russian oil export facilities by U.S. proxy Ukraine also are ultimately aimed at China.
i guess geo. maps is not your strength!
whose Russian western terminals exported oil/gas/ into Europe.! just open up map
i would say IT IS USA WHO WANT hook up Europe totally on US.
so no Russian/middle east gas/oil for Europe. only from USa
