The White House Brags: The Average “Peson” Spends $35 Less on Gasoline

Breathing Room

Doubly Pleased Today

  • We have a new pronoun: Peson
  • The average peson now spends $35 less on gasoline

Questions Abound

  • What did the president Biden do to bring about this remarkable saving?
  • Spelling issues aside, is this realistically a winning message?

What About Butane?

https://twitter.com/Keubiko/status/1551549746485121025

Please consider Biden mulling plan to add butane to summer gas to lower price at pump

“Butane is relatively cheap. Numbers I’ve seen indicate a difference of 10 to 15 cents a gallon in summer vs. winter gasoline prices due to the removal of butane,” said Antony Davies, an economics professor at Duquesne University.

Just like it does in a lighter, butane evaporates quickly into the environment, causing ozone pollution on hot summer days.

“And so the fact that it likes to evaporate from the gasoline instead of going through the engine is what makes it a serious thing when it comes to ozone pollution,” said Neil Donahue, an atmospheric chemist at Carnegie Mellon University.

Extreme Hypocrisy

On June 5, I noted Biden Mandates More Ethanol in Gasoline, Expect Many Negative Repercussions

Synopsis

  • 30% higher corn prices with other crops rising by 20%, according to the National Academy of Sciences.
  • Growing more corn for ethanol causes increased amounts of water pollutants from U.S. farms
  • Expect more fertilizer use when fertilizer costs are soaring
  • More summer smog
  • E15 erodes older car engines, gas pumps, storage tanks and pipelines.
  • Small refiners will suffer and some will go out of business allowing Elizabeth Warren to moan about the concentration of “Big Oil”.

Now the president in mulling Butane which will also add to smog.

Climate Emergency

On July 21, I noted Biden Declares Climate Emergency, Supreme Court Will Shoot Down His Executive Orders

Biden is bragging about lowing the price of gasoline by trivial amounts, something he had nothing to do with.

He has declared a “climate emergency” but has increased the amount of ethanol in gas, contributing to smog, and is pondering butane which is even worse.

Biden begs Venezuela and Saudi Arabia to pump more oil but not here. Finally, Biden’s sanctions more than anything else drove up the price of oil.

The decline in price is due to a recession, nothing to brag about.

When it comes to inflation and energy policy, can this administration do anything right?

Look on the bright side. We have a new pronoun.

They’re not just at war with oil. They’re also at war with steam generation power plants. If we eliminate oil and electricity, we’ll be back in the 1800s. Time to invest in horse shoes.

I think the left hates people in general. They’re trying to lower world population. More stuff for them. I have yet to meet an environmentalist that at their core, do not hate people.

This all looks more like the summer of 2000. Rate hikes are needed and will likely tip the economy into a shallow recession at worst as long as some other black swan event doesn’t occur. We need the economy to go back to being boring 2% growth with 2% inflation. Most people would trade stability for the wackiness that has happen since 2017.

As bragging goes, yes, rather lame.
Whereas…
If Trump had done it, and even if he hadn’t, he’d tell you that he did, in spectacular fashion.
And only handful of Republicans would know better.

President Trump did many things that help reduce oil prices and free up the market, so it would have been true.
Biden, on the other hand, has done many things to increase oil prices, such as stopping pipelines, banning certain types of drilling, obstructing permitting… so Biden is a liar.

I don’t quite see how Biden is responsible for the mistake of the Fed not hiking last summer. The mistake in all this has zero to do with Biden. This is all just reactionary which is what ALL politicians do.

And leaving the economy shut down WAY longer than necessary. Plus tariffs on things like lumber and shutting down pipelines like Keystone, restricting drilling and on and on.
It’s not 100% Bidens fault anymore than it’s all Putins fault. But Biden has repeatedly made the worst possible choice every place he’s had an opportunity to make one.

A typo. Big deal. The real dilemma is this: our entire way of life is based around the extraction and consumption of cheap fossil fuels. Environmental considerations aside, the cheap resources have all been extracted. Nobody wants to hear that our way of life is rapidly approaching an end.

We’re caught between two apocalyptic cults. One wants to avoid the apocalypse, but isn’t very effective and the other one is trying to bring it about so they can meet Jesus. Neither is going to get what they want, and blames the other.

It’s a perfect circle of stupid.

ESG is the apocalypse. The WEC apparently had posted on its web site that Sri Lanka said that ESG was going to make them wealthy.
Tucker Carlson had a segment on his show, noting that the higher the ESG score, the worse their situation.
Trudeau now wants to get rid of Ammonium Nitrate, which will cut farming output in Canada and drive up food prices.
No, the “other cult” does not want to avoid the apocalypse.

Turdeau is doing more and more crazy things. Almost like he wants to get pushed out of power and if he keeps it up much longer he is going to lose the political alliance that keeps him in power.
Only then will Canada have a chance to correct the insane course he’s put them on during his time in power.

Oil is created Naturally!!!
There are reports from all over the world about “DRY WELLS” back to full a few years after they are declared “DRY”!!!
Oil has also been detected on other planets in our solar system, which implies dinosaurs roamed them too, if you buy the “BIG LIE”!!!!

You should move to one of those other planets and then sell the oil back to earth.

Oil was not found on planets but on Titan, a moon of Saturn, and it was not oil but methane which on Earth is a gas but on Titan a liquid.

Dry wells getting oil in them again makes perfect sense. If you fill a sponge with water and put it in a bucket and leave it and come back there will be water in the bucket that oozed out of the sponge. Replace sponge with rock and bucket with well and that’s what is happening.
The point isn’t whether wells refill but rather do they refill faster than we can empty them. The answer to that is a resounding ‘NO’. That’s why oil fields run down over time and we constantly have to find and develop new ones.

There’s plenty of fossil fuels. Might be harder to extract some of it, but there’s plenty to last for decades. Certainly enough to transition off of them over 20+ years. No need to panic right now.

Actually, I think THAT is the root of the spelling error. They probably meant to type “peons” but misspelled it “pesons”.

Election meddling affected the outcome. Some 15% of voters said they would not have voted for Biden if they knew the truth about the Hunter Biden laptop. Google, Facebook, Twitter, all meddled in the election to benefit Biden. Some state election rules were unconstitutionally changed, to benefit Biden.
It was a corrupt election.

I think they misspelled the word “peon” in that tweet.
And I think it also begs the question “How many White House staffers does it take to fail to properly proof-read a media release?”

It shows the quality of those staffers chosen for their wokeness and not for their knowledge or ability. Above all it shows how unimportant those behind Biden think he is. They don’t even proofread his tweets. It’s not worth their time.
