If the US Has a Goal in Ukraine or Israel, What the Hell Is It?

The US has already given Ukraine $75 billion. Biden wants another $100 billion for Ukraine and Israel. What exactly is the mission?

It seems to me that if we are going to give foreign nations hundreds of billions of dollars, we ought to have defined goals and a method of achieving them.

White House Announcement

In a White House Announcement on October 20, here are Remarks by President Biden on the United States’ Response to Hamas’s Terrorist Attacks Against Israel and Russia’s Ongoing Brutal War Against Ukraine

“You know, history has taught us that when terrorists don’t pay a price for their terror, when dictators don’t pay a price for their aggression, they cause more chaos and death and more destruction. They keep going, and the cost and the threats to America and to the world keep rising. ”

Lovely, But What’s the Goal?

Dear Mr. President, your statement sounds lovely. But what is the mission? What is the goal? How long are we willing to keep funding Ukraine and Israel to get it?

Biden says he supports a two-state solution. O.K.If that’s the idea, then why are we handing out hundreds of billions of dollars with no strings attached?

Over the years, the US has given Israel about $130 billion. What, if anything, do we have to show for it?

On NATO

“For 75 years, NATO has kept peace in Europe and has been the cornerstone of American security.  And if Putin attacks a NATO Ally, we will defend every inch of NATO which the treaty requires and calls for.”

That sounds lovely too, except to thinking individuals. By the way, how much is Germany contributing to NATO?

Germany is about 960 miles from Ukraine, by road. The US is 5,600 miles away by plane.

Why is it that the US is providing nearly all the aid to Ukraine and Israel?

What Price Do We Pay?

The US has no readily discernable mission statement other than Biden’s comments to make terrorists and Putin pay a price.

What price are we willing to pay to make Putin pay a price? $200 billion? $500 billion? A trillion? Unlimited? For what precise goals? When?

Biden’s statements may sound pretty unless you really ponder the implications: We are handing out hundreds of billions of dollars for wars that are essentially none of our business, with no strings attached.

We deserve answers. But don’t expect any.

The US spent trillions of dollars in Iraq and Afghanistan without ever having a stated mission, goals, or an end game. Afghanistan lasted 20 years. US military is still in Iraq.

And here we go again.

Meanwhile, Biden’s Democratic Coalition is Splintering Over Israel and the Economy

Also, please see Five Alarm Bell – Biden Trails Trump in Five of Six Battleground States

If Biden goes down in flames over this, at least will have gotten something for our money.

One Question Answered

Meanwhile, please note we do have an answer to a question I asked previously.

Q: How long are we willing to keep funding Israel with no strings attached?
A: Indefinitely, of course.

The US industrial military complex will settle for nothing less. And the best way to ensure “indefinitely” lasts for 20 years or longer is to not have a clear mission or clear goals.

“Why is it that the US is providing nearly all the aid to…”
This statement is factually incorrect:

“In total aid (military, financial and humanitarian combined), the European Union and its countries have provided the most to Ukraine, according to Kiel Institute…”
For example Poland provided more than 10 billion PLN aid to Ukraine substantially higher GDP percentage than United States. Poland shipped most of its stored military equipment (300+ tanks, Mig-29 jets and much more).
Highest aid provider in terms of GDP percentage is… Estonia (about 1.5% GDP)

To support Israel’s goal . . . but who really knows, because Biden is NOT running the country. We’re living through Obama’s 3rd term. The question is:

Who’s going to replace Biden that Trump will square off against. That’s what inquiring minds want to know. All will be revealed shortly after Thanksgiving for a XMas surprise.

The goal of the American people is (or should be) to prosper in freedom without entangling relations with other nations.

The goal of those who rule America is to help Israel forever at the expense of US people, and by the way any speculation of dual loyalty is very very antisem.

After the attack on Israel, the US needs to support the destruction of Hama’s.
After that we should not support Israel occupying Gaza.
Its been suggested that the Palestinian Authority oversea Gaza (Hama’s previously ousted them…the Fahta), but the US may be better off suggesting that Egypt oversea Gaza. They’re better located in the area, have past history in Gaza and have better relations with Israel (and most importantly, it’s not an Israeli occupation).

The US also should apply pressure on both Israel and the Palestinian Authority for the 2 state solution in the Israeli-occupied West Bank (leaving out the Gaza Strip). Gaza is definitely a lost cause at the moment regarding that. Gaza should be under the TBD category for now.
At least, that’s what I would like to see the US roll be.

With regard to the Ukraine the goal should have been to allow Europe to take control with some moderate support from America as a member of NATO. Keep in mind that NATO broke promises made to Russia by moving East. Also Zelensky and the leadership of the Ukraine is almost corrupt as Biden and the Democrats. With Israel America’s goal is different. America used to be a Christian nation and the historical Judeo-Christian traditional values brought virtue to American laws, morals and human rights. America has always supported Israel because the Lord is an ironist, which is why he had his son become a Jew to become the savior of the world.

“If the US Has a Goal in Ukraine or Israel, What the Hell Is It?”
To cling onto whatever tiny little straw of relevance it is still able to hang onto, 5 decades into a complete freefall and decay.

And that straw is now ALL military. Absent the big stockpile of weapons and weapons industry left over from the cold war, neither Russia nor the US has anything of value to contribute to pretty much anything anymore. They’re both nothing more than has-beens. Leeching cancers, desperate to hang onto long lost delusions of grandeur. Fat, disgusting, stinking and annoying dregs, forcing their way into every party, despite noone wanting anything to do with them anymore.

And the only way they can do that, is by bombing and militarising everything and everywhere. After all, neither has even the remotest ability to compete at providing much of anything useful any longer. So: Bomb, bomb, bomb and sticking their nose into the lives of better others, is all they do. Since it’s all they anymore can do. Noone needs them, noone likes them, noone wants them. As is the case with all cancers.

Hello, Misha.

How about GRU services provided by your russian affiliated friendo Jacob Drezgin?
You are definitely independent thinker: bring up your “investigation” of MH-17.
Let me explain to you , so you will have clear picture, including bunch of your followers here.

Russian helicopters are using engines designed and manufactured in City Zaporizzhya, Ukraine. Company name is MotorSich.

Russian ICBMs “Satan” SS20 have been designed and manufactured and serviced by Yuzhmash, Dnipro, Ukraine.

Soviet (Russian) tank design was done in Malyshev plant, Kharkiv, Ukraine.

If US and western allies will stop help to Ukraine, at some point it will be cease fire. That will give russian aggressors time (another 8-10 years) to rebuild military and resume frozen war. They want to capture all Ukrainian territory, bite by bite, as much as they could chew for the bite. They would like to establish control and project power over all Ukrainian territories. This is the long time game.
They need those industries. You and other smarties are thinking that Russians want trade, economical integrations.Let me tell you, smarty: they don’t give a sh*t. They are using rebuilt banking system for money laundering, social networks for disseminations of lies, technological innovations for war while the whole country is sh*thole except a few cities. They are trying to re-create USSR 2.0.

If they will succeed and get Ukrainians on board as the builders of new empire, cold war would be a walk in the park.

I am not talking here about refugees, killed or injured civilians and soldiers.

The goal is simple – make your oponents exhausted. That’s why the US has to start many wars and doesn’t need to win a single one. And correctly, this will go on forever. It works well when the hegemon has its own industrial and financial base and number of enemies or oponents can be counted on one hand and it has dozens of allies and the rest of the world is scared. None of this applies nowadays. We should ask ourselves why is hegomon willing to do that. To protect its status and living starndards of its own population. Forever wars help protecting the status but after certain time lead to decline in living standards when financial base gets exhausted and money printing is the only way to keep the war machine running. How many new wars can hegemon start with eroded industrial base which depends on components imported from China? Is it smart waging a technology war on China when hegemon imports tons of stuff from China for its defense industry? Here we may find the answer to recent interest of hegemon to repair ties with China.

The goal, as described by Hitlary and others, is to defeat Russia by ATTRITION. Meaning, sacrifice as many Ukrainians, Israelis, Palestinians, Polish, etc as it takes to weaken Russia so the west can waltz into Moscow and start taking assets, like the Banksters have already done in Ukraine. These nutjobs and Neocons have no allegiance to any country. They are Globalists trying to impose their sick vision on the world, which is their alternative after the Sovereign debt crisis destroys the West.

Attrition warefare against Russia…thats funny…They invented it..it has always worked in their favor because no other people on Earth is so willing to embrace tragedy like the Russians. As a baseline in World War 2, they lost 26 million killed. That is roughly a quarter of their population at the time…and they felt pretty good about it..and were the militarily stronger when the war ended.

The Ukraine war is already lost. That is why you are hearing hints about peace talks in the news. NATO knows they have lost and they want to save face and he this problem go away. I doubt Putin will be very generous with these clowns. Immediately after the invasion in April 2022 he offered a peace treaty before this thing got so ugly. But Boris Johnson visited Zelensky and talked him out of it. Now that Russia has lost tens of thousands of men and changed its economy to a war footing, Putin is not in the mood to let by gones be by gones. This stupid neocon project spearheaded by Victoria Nuland has wrecked Ukraine, destroyed Europe’s energy infrastructure and slaughtered hundreds of thousands.

Russia will retain all the land it claimed if not more, Ukraine will not be in NATO and Ukraine will be disarmed and neutral. The longer the war goes on, the worst the deal for Ukraine. Thus, the best think for Ukraine is no more military aid.

Correct on all accounts.

However I don’t think Russia will take any extra territory. They will pretty much want all the areas with ethnic Russians and that’s it. Anything more and you end up with restless natives who cause trouble.

The reason there is no insurgency in the captured territories is because it’s all ethnic Russians.

The reason that funding will continue to Isreal is not the MIC, it’s AIPAC and other Israel friendly lobbies. Just look at how political candidates fawn and praise Israel every election cycle. Most presidential candidates even make a trip to Israel to show their fealty. To be critic of Israel is guaranteed political death.

The control of the media companies by Jewish and Israel interests is an ongoing problem for America. In an interesting episode back in the 1970s, evangelical preacher Billy Graham was forced to make a public apology for saying Jews control the press. I guess the choice was, grovel to your Jewish masters or no more TV specials for you.

MARINES TEST EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES AT THE COMBAT CENTER
19 OCT 2023
Cpl. Andrew Bray

MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CENTER, Calif. —
Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center has emerged as a critical center for innovation within the United States Marine Corps. The largest Marine Corps training facility of its kind, MCAGCC has become an essential testing ground for emerging technologies.

Marines with Tactical Training and Exercise Control Group, Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command, MCAGCC, in concert with the Office of Naval Research, tested a quadruped robotic platform referred to as the “robotic goat”, Sept. 9, 2023. TTECG and ONR test fired an M72 Light Anti-tank Weapon rocket launcher from the robotic goat. The robotic goat can carry various sensors or weapon systems that would otherwise be carried by a Marine.

“Instead of having a Marine handle the weapon system, manipulate the safeties, we could put a remote trigger mechanism on it that allowed it to all be done remotely,” said 1st Lt. Aaron Safadi, officer in charge, emerging technology integration section, TTECG. “The Marine could be behind cover and concealment, the weapon system could go forward, and the Marine could manipulate the safeties from a safe place while allowing that weapon system to get closer to its target.”

OT – I’m predicting Biden in a landslide in 2024. The polling numbers are so far off its not even funny. The polls use to be skewed towards Dems but now they are skewed towards Republicans and the silent majority (women) are showing up in droves in every election and voting for Dems. While Biden is far from perfect, there is only one party to choose and this will propel the Dems to victory in coming elections for years to come. A generation of mostly Republicans is about to die. The media needs to create interest and thus needs to show closer polling then actual reality. Today was bad turnout for anyone who thought the abortion issue would just go away. It has tuned many into single issue voters.

Indeed it is…

Let’s hope 2024 and whomever it ushers in, will pay more attention to America, and our own Citizens Needs!!
I don’t mind helping others, but not when you’re not on stable ground yourself. I can’t afford to give money or necessary things in order to exist, so I donate my time, and often, to the elderly mostly, and my Hometown Community else well.
Why does American Leadership feel the need to give away things We Need here in the U.S. to survive?
Every time I hear Social Security is going to get cut soon, and may go away soon, it simply confuses me! We send Billions all around the World to others, and now we can’t take care of our elderly and Veterans, so what does that say? Nothing Good…

Every day we work to protect the American people. Our strategy is this: We will fight them over there so we do not have to face them in the United States of America.

The goal is not to give in to the forces of evil. In the words of GWB, we can fight them here or fight them there. I prefer there.

Israel is a cheap magnet for terrorist attacks so fewer attacks hit the US.

IDF does Iranian missions that would be problematic for the US to execute.

“…so fewer attacks hit the US.”

The only one during the past century is generally framed as blowback from earlier activities of the U.S. MIC. “Nation-building” and being the arms dealer to the world is lucrative business for a few, but as the kids say: Words Actions have consequences.

You might want to reconsider whom is actually a magnet. (also, how many billions does it have to cost before it is no longer ‘cheap’)

I think the count of dead Palestinian civilians is past 10,000 by now. No count on wounded. How many of those children are going to grow up hating the people who killed their parents and siblings and the people who supplied the bombs. Go back a generation and investigate what happened to prompt the murder of the 1400 Israelis today. The scale of human slaughter and suffering in Ukraine and Gaza is madness. Ask yourself who benefits?

683 killed by Hamas, half were military and police.
Balance killed by IDF who used Apache helicopters against people fleeing the music rave in cars and tanks against kibbutzim … according to eye witness testimony, Ha’eretz, and the damage implicating the weapons used.

Ukraine Goal – Spend hundreds of billions of $$$ to expand NATO and eventually have Ukraine sign a ceasefire with Russia that unofficially cedes parts of Eastern Ukraine to Russia

Israel Goal – Make sure Israel isn’t wiped off the face of the earth.

But, the big question is does China take advantage of FJB’s weakness to invade Tiawan?

I was just young enough to miss getting drafted in 1970 and after witnessing US skullduggery around the world ever since I’m so thankful I did. I actively discourage my grandkids from joining the military unless they were promised their only mission would be to defend our own borders. This administrations strategy is to create as many foreign enemies as possible. Even our friends hate us.

First of all we are not in either one directly. We do furnish Ukraine with a lot of arms and munitions, but we have no boots on the ground. The objective is to keep it that way until Ukraine eliminates Russia from its territory. Europe has the same stance as us. If Ukraine starts to lose then that stance might have to change.
Israel can take care of itself although we need to help them with munitions. Our fleets are offshore as a warning to Hezbollah and Iran so Israel can concentrate on reducing Gaza and Hamas so there also we have no boots on the ground except a few in Syria and Iraq. We won’t be sending 100,000 troops in because there is no reason. If you want a clear mission statement you probably won’t get one because we are not in these two wars directly. Perhaps we can say that we have two objectives. One is to keep Israel alive and the other is to keep Ukraine alive. We could add a third and that is to keep Taiwan alive.
