Italy’s Prime Minister Blasts France for Child Labor in Gold and Uranium Mines After Recent Coup

“France prints money for Burkina Faso which has gold,” says Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Burkina Faso is a country in Africa.

Image of Giorgia Meloni from YouTube video below.

Prime minister Giorgia Meloni goes after French President Emmanuel Macon in a video that went viral. It followed a recent coup in Niger.

Meloni calls out the exploitation of African countries by France, specifically child labor in Burkina Faso and Niger. Burkina Faso had a coup last year. Niger had a coup on July 26, 2023.

Meloni holds up an image of a child laborer then makes these comments.

  • This is a child who works in a gold mine in Burkina Faso. Burkino Fasa is one of the poorest nations in the world.
  • France prints colonial money for Burkino Fasa, which has gold. In return, they demand that 50% of everything that Burkina Faso exports ends up un the coffers of the French Treasury.
  • The gold that this child goes down a tunnel to extract, mostly ends up in the coffers of the French state.
  • So the solution is not to take Africans and bring them to Europe. The solution is to free Africa from certain Europeans who exploit it and allow these people to live off what they have.
  • Emmanuel Macron described us a disgusting, cynics and irresponsible. And here the Italian press began to ask: Did you hear what Macron said about us?
  • The irresponsible, Emmanuel Macron, are those who bombed Libya because they were concerned that Italy would obtain important concessions with Gaddafi and left us facing the chaos of illegal immigration we are facing now.
  • The cynics, Emmanuel Macron, are the French who send the gendarmerie to return any immigrant trying to cross the border in Ventimiglia [into France].
  • Disgusting is France continues to exploit Africa by printing money to 14 African countries, charging them mint fees, and by children labor extracting raw materials, as in happening in Niger, where France extracts 30% of the uranium it needs to run its nuclear reactors while 90% of Niger’s population lives without electricity.
  • Do not come to teach us lessons, Macron, the African are abandoning their continent because of you. The solution is not to transfer Africans to Europe, but to liberate Africa from some Europeans.

Many Messages

Wow, what an amazing rant. I have never seen mainstream European politicians attack each other in this manner.

This video shows the leader of the third largest EU country, Italy, attacking the president of the France, the second largest EU country.

Meloni’s message is about immigration, energy, and ultimately, inflation. Things are bad, and this video proves it.

US Immigration Policy

Immigration policy is also heating up in the US. After having rolled out the welcome mat, New York City Mayor Eric Adams now tells illegal immigrants to look elsewhere.

France got the US to topple Kaddafi, which was a big mistake, and made a mess of that country. Yes, he was torturing terrorists. But when did that become a deal breaker?

I think most of what Meloni says is correct. Except when it comes to child labor in Niger. I think uranium mines are very heavily automated. It would be also interesting to see what is the price of the extracted uranium. I don’t think that it is disconnected from world price, and sold to France at a lower price.

He should have visited his son, Meghan and play with his grand kids in CA.

“…New York City Mayor Eric Adams now tells illegal immigrants to look elsewhere.”

Abbot has sent some bus loads to L.A. and Smiling Mayor Bass has welcomed them so far. KTLA recently ran a story on the some 42,000 homeless, which Bass is struggling to get ahead of and into housing. For some time, there was a small contingent of tents on the sidewalk in front of the 99 Cent Only Store on Victory Blvd. in North Hollywood. They have now moved to opposite side of the street.

“Sure Africans will be happier with russian, chinese and jihadist ruling.”

Just as everywhere else: The only upside to The West by now being as useless as it is possible to get, is that ANY change, no matter to what, can at the very worst be just a lateral move.

As for specifics: Russia is in no position to rule anything that far from their mainland. Hence won’t. They have trouble enough with their own immediate border regions. At most, they can complicate matters for anyone else wanting to rule. And complicating things for those, no matter who they may be, who intends to “rule” others, always makes said others better off.

The Jihadists are locals. Very much beholden to the local population. At least many of them, also seem far more open to sensible, Founding Fathers style, gun laws than most so called non-jihadists. Which aids in ensuring whatever government they do form, end up a somewhat limited one. And, again as per Founding Fathers, those closet Jeffersonian jihadists seem to be some of the few bright enough to recognise the benefits, necessity even, of “a revolution a generation”, for safeguarding against government growing to the size of the incurable cancer that the current French one has become.

While the Chinese are, at least for now, competent enough to provide something of value in return for whatever they extract. Something France, like the rest of The West, hasn’t been for decades.

Regardless, getting rid of existing government, is always a god thing. Only the most hopelessly gullible among the Indoctrinati, still fall for the trivially obvious idiocy that some of them are somehow “good.”

Interesting Mish. An original NATO country taking a slightly more agressive strike than a pillow hit at another original NATO member. A real hard pinch by Meloni to Macron right on his lower backside. Ouch!

Is Momma US going to give her a warning, paddle or do nothing? I’m going with none of the above. It didn’t draw blood and nobody cares about kids in Africa.

I “think” this video is from about 1 year ago when Macron was trash talking the Italian government for not playing along with his WEF playmates and overlords. Regardless, it’s the truth. And the Galls are pretty much some of the most racist cretins on the planet. See also: Vichy Government

This video is newer, I don’t know if the video material is new.
You are right, there was a a similar (or the same) rant in the run up to the Italian election last year.

It’s quite bizarre to see all these barbs being traded by EU politicians and cracks continuing to form in the foundation of the EU, but nothing ever really shakes loose.

Always seems odd that countries like Italy and Greece have not left the EU after all these years.

I expect European political drama to escalate as failed energy policies and politics hit home. Personally now on the weather watch, a cold winter will exacerbate European deindustrialization.
