I have no confidence that the government can do much of anything. It is too large to contain. TPTB will do what they can, but will be overwhelmed by the sheer numbers. Things will get much worse before they get better. I doubt that there will be the will here to enforce quarantines to the level that the Chinese have done, at least not before they become ineffective. Even so, the Chinese have not stopped it, only slowed it.
My impressions from watching this beast kill for a couple months now:

And the second statement you attack the Democratic Party which suggests to me that what you really meant was that the Democrats should not criticize Trump but it’s okay if the Republicans criticize the Democrats. Republicans criticizing the Democrats Is also a partisan political statement. That is not giving partisan politics arrest. Also, you have no knowledge about my feelings about Donald Trump. Then find some examples where Trump did that.
I am open to examples from both sides.
The lack of replies maybe is because most people see the pandemic as beyond a political event. If you look at say the Spanish flu, even as its management was affected by wider political realities, people do not seem to have turned on their leaders as to blame. Even in hindsight and with the benefit of being able to analyse how authority acted, the failures still only seem to be taken as unintentional concurrent reality. So I think people realise that the ability of politicians is limited. Sure, point out real policy mistakes they are making wrt , but you have to be fast to do that for it to be effective in practical terms. For example, we could only suggest by reason that there was an underlying pandemic starting in the US, but few called this a week ago even, few said “There are many hundreds or thousands of cases in the US already”. My call is for transparency of info, so that the public can calculate for themselves – we don’t even have clear data offered beyond base numbers in the west so far, from any country afaik. This is a major fail, it denies people the ability to reason their response, it denies them the opportunity to form opinion on the handling of the pandemic, it denies them the ability to judge what they are being told, and to provide suggestion or impetus to alternate approaches.

I know two families that are waiting for school to end, total of 9 people that will be leaving. One family rents, the other owns. All four adults work. Both families are fed up with the taxes. Two other families are having the parents sell their homes and move in with them. The State of Illinois will be in serious decline over the next several years.

What isn’t sarcasm is that the democrats are out to get Trump. They will go out of their way to politicize Covid-19, just as they politicized the impeachment hearings.
Is there something, anything that Trump does not politicize?
And other than Trump, I have not seen much politicizing of the Coronavirus.
