I watched the debate with friends on Fox News but then suggested we turn to MSNBC for the analysis. I wanted to see how anyone could possibly sugar coat this.
Not even MSNBC could although Rachael Maddow tried hard.
Trump Fell Short
Trump was neither as good as he could have been or as bad as one might have known he could be.
Trump ducked many questions and surprisingly the moderators let him get away with it.
Trump blew closing remarks. He failed to focus on inflation.
After watching MSNBC for perhaps a half hour we did turn back to Fox. Everyone there was glowing over how well Trump did.
Trump did start out strong but over the course of 90 minutes morphed into more of his Trumpian bravado without answering any questions.
But that was good enough. Biden looked like an zombie on drugs.

He has had to settle with the courts on Trump University, charitable contributions, and possibly other instances. Where this smoke there is fire. It isn’t so much that he committed tax fraud because I too have my doubts but it is the sleazy way he goes about his business as a real estate mogul that causes me angst, for example his habitual failure to pay contractors for building projects.

I have not been a fan of CNN for many years, but I have to say they did a good job. They did’t take sides like I expected them to. They were honest in the discussion after the debate. No matter how “well” Biden might have performed, the MSM script would have him declared “loser”, “mentally unfit”, etc. He is going to be replaced as nominee either before or at the convention.

I watched the Kennedy-Nixon debate in 1960 and Biden is no Jack Kennedy. Watching Biden was like watching elder abuse.

This is not just a political contest. We should all be very afraid that Biden is no more than a brain dead puppet of the Beltway who can get us into WW3 at a moments notice.

My thoughts exactly. WWIII has been on my mind with Biden at the helm. I have read that the American public has always been hesitant to replace a sitting president when we are at war. Biden and his handlers may see a hot-war as their cure to remaining in power.
