Biden’s Misguided Woke Apology to Illegal Immigrants Will Backfire

An illegal immigrant charged with crimes in NY and GA was released. He then killed nursing student Laken Riley. Biden apologized for using the term illegal when discussing the murder.

Biden won’t treat any of these people, even murders and rapists, with disrespect.

The MSNBC clip came a day after Biden’s State of the Union (SOTU) mention of Laken Riley.

“He just lost my vote.”

That’s one. How many others are there?

Here’s the Laken Riley SOTU clip.

As an aside, Biden twice referred to Laken Riley as “Lincoln Riley” during his address.

House Passes ‘Laken Riley Act’

In response to the murder, the U.S. House passed the ‘Laken Riley Act’.

Key Provisions

  • (1) the Biden administration should not have released Laken Riley’s alleged murderer into the United States;
  • (2) the Biden administration should have arrested and detained Laken Riley’s alleged murderer after he was charged with crimes in New York, New York, and Athens, Georgia;
  • (3) President Biden should publicly denounce his administration’s immigration policies that resulted in the murder of Laken Riley; and
  • (4) President Biden should prevent another murder like that of Laken Riley by ending the catch-and-release of illegal aliens, increasing immigration enforcement, detaining and removing criminal aliens, reinstating the Remain in Mexico policy, ending his abuse of parole authority, and securing the United States borders.

The bill also calls for the detention of aliens who commit theft.

The bill passed the house overwhelmingly, 251-170, with 37 Democrats joining all Republicans in support.

Biden’s Allegedly Tough Immigration Laws

It the Laken Riley Act passes the Senate, questionable at best, Biden won’t sign it. Yet, Biden brags in his SOTU about tough immigration laws that would be the toughest ever.

That’ arguably true, but only because there hasn’t been any significant legislation, ever. The first significant legislation is always both the strongest and the weakest.

Biden’s Trojan Horse Immigration Deal

Republican Senators are willing to sell the farm for what would be a terrible deal even if Biden elected to honor the terms.

On January 30, I noted Biden’s Trojan Horse Immigration Deal Would Allow Another 1.8 Million Migrants

The bill would give authority to “shut down the border” after average daily migrant crossings hit 5,000 over seven days, or 8,500 in a single day.

Has anyone done the math on this? 5,000 a day for 365 days is 1,825,000. There’s your trojan horse right there.

Hoot of the Day

In the SOTU Biden bragged the bill would require illegal immigrants to show up for a hearing in six months.

What a hoot. Roughly 0 percent of them would show up at their hearings.

Biden Attacks the Supreme Court

Biden’s second major gaffe regarding his SOTU address was attacking the Supreme Court directly.

This will parlay into fears Democrats will pack the court will liberals willing to do anything the Progressives want.

Red Meat to Hyenas

I upset some Trump supporters in my March 1 post Trump Would Rather Win Adoration From the Base Than Win the Election

New Scum

Yesterday, Trump gave Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom the name “New Scum.”

It’s like cheering red meat tossed to a pack of howling hyenas. But many independents don’t like it. And it is not the hyenas Trump needs to convince, it’s the independents and moderates.

Biden’s Hyena Moment

Biden just did the same thing by attacking the Supreme Court directly and apologizing for telling the truth.

It’s a majorly woke moment to apologize to thieves and murderers who are here illegally.

You might disagree that is what happened. But that is how it looks to many. Expect to see some political ads on this.

Q: How many Independents or moderates will tossing red meat to hyenas win over?
A: None, but it may cost plenty.

Everyone who objects to the term illegal, even though they are here illegally, is going to vote for Biden anyway.

Yet, here were are. Both Biden and Trump are openly ignoring the voters who will decide the election.

Woke apologies to murderers, or perceived apologies to murderers, can only backfire. This was Biden’s hyena moment. Expect more of them.

Laken Riley

Anybody remember Mollie Tibbetts? Killed while jogging. An illegal.
There are hundreds of such cases, even recently, albeit not all are murders.
The idea that this is not a serious problem is ridiculous

I’m calling it…Trump wins easily this fall, regardless of whether President House Plant Potato Man stays in the race.

A President (or any elite) should never ever punch downward. In my view, that’s essentially what Biden did in this situation by disrespecting the deceased (a citizen) by apologizing to her killer (somone here illegally).

Huge gaffe. I’d say this one is on par with Terry McAuliffe’s gaffe during his debate with Youngkin where McAuliffe said parents shouldn’t have a say in thier kid’s education. That one sentence handed the election to Youngkin.

The best thing about Trump is that he was the worst President for starting wars.

I’m somewhat reassured knowing that if he’s in office another 4 years, we won’t bother with any new wars during those years.

First of all, grow up. His name is spelled Trump. Misspelling it is juvenile. Second of all, Trump did not start any new wars as President. Third, take a look at the debt since Biden took office.

Western countries choose not to prevent illegal immigration.

Plenty of other countries reduce the number of illegal immigrants to practically zero.

We could make it a felony act to hire a person without validating their authority to work here, enforce that law, and punish it with long prison sentences. We could make it impossible to rent or buy a home without validating your right to be in the country (punishing landlords with prison time). We could outlaw electronic transfers out of the country without positive ID and proof of right to be in the country.

We could stop offering govt services such as health care and education, cash cards and food handouts to people who can’t show they’re here legally. The only thing we should offer them is air tickets to another country.

We could make it impossible to live here for people who slip through our borders and impossible for them to send money home, and we could do that in addition to making it more difficult to slip through our borders.

This shoulder shrugging pretending we can’t do anything is weak and pathetic.

8 U.S. Code § 1324 already says all of those things are illegal. Felony illegal. We don’t have a government that cares about law. New laws will make no difference.

Reportedly, the illegal that killed Laken Riley is pro-Hamas. That practically qualifies one for citizenship – so calling him an illegal was disrespectful.

With regard to the Laken Act, a dictum comes to mind: If anecdotes drive your policy, you deserve what you get.

Luckily, the Act uses the key word, “should”. No representative, senator, or administrator is put on the hook by this Act.

anecdotes shouldn’t drive policy. but sometimes it can result in good policy even by dumb luck. and either way, this policy is good politics. weigh the policy vs. the politics — Democrats did, which is why 37 of them joined the GOP and voted for it.

SOTU will be Biden’s last stand. He had the energy people wanted to see, but disrespected Laken Riley. In the heat of the moment, Laken and Lincoln look and sound similar. The following days his meds wore off. He pointed to his accomplishment of shrinking the deficit and growing the national debt. He asked the voters in Pennsylvania to send him back to the Senate. And he apologized for using the term “illegal alien”. Voters will continue to choose “undecided” in the remaining primaries.

NOBODY cares about the primaries.
Biden will WIN the election because the Republicans can’t put a REMOTELY normal and tolerable candidate up for election for president. As an independent it’s flat out embarrassing that the parties can’t do better than these two bad choices.
Orange Mussolini Wannabe is obviously worse and severely unbalanced but Biden won’t win because he’s good enough, he’ll win because he’s not a dumpster fire like Angry Orange Man.
After this election is over I would like to see a 3rd (and 4th?) party that puts up REAL candidates that aren’t so old that they’ve lost their minds.

How should I refer to space aliens landing in the USA? Would they be considered illegal or undocumented?

If you polled the GOP’s base, I’m pretty sure you’d find they’d be more welcoming to space aliens than any 3rd-world humans.

That’s because they have no clue what they’re getting with space aliens but they know exactly what they’re getting with the 3rd world.

The entire idea from the start, of wanting Biden in that chair, was as we now know, one of the biggest gaffs by a Political Party in recent memory for many, myself included.
The party was strong, and mostly in control, and just punted with the lead in hand…

Nah, having the Orange Mussolini Wannabe on your ticket for the last two elections is clearly a huge screwup. ANY normal Republican could have beat Biden last time or this time.
