Biden’s Trojan Horse Immigration Deal Would Allow Another 1.8 Million Migrants

Republican Senators are willing to sell the farm for what would be a terrible deal even if Biden elected to honor the terms.

CBS reports Biden and senators on verge of striking immigration deal aimed at clamping down on illegal border crossings

Trojan Horse Deal Details

  1. The agreement is expected to give the executive branch a new legal authority to effectively suspend asylum in between official ports of entry when migrant crossings surpass certain thresholds.
  2. The power, which Mr. Biden referred to as an authority to “shut down the border” on Friday, would be mandated after average daily migrant crossings hit 5,000 over seven days, or 8,500 in a single day.
  3. It could also be activated on a discretionary basis after average daily crossings surpass 4,000 in a week.
  4. There would also be a limit on the number of days each year the president could invoke the authority.

1: Biden already the authority to secure the border. He has no interest in doing so or he would have already done so. The administration even ripped open holes in the razor wire fence that Texas erected. If that’s not a come on in message, what is?

2: Has anyone done the math on this? 5,000 a day for 365 days is 1,825,000. There’s your trojan horse right there. We already know what’s inside.

3: Point three is a joke. What’s with this “could” stuff as if Biden would actually do it. Besides, does anyone expect a legitimate count?

4. Point four is an even bigger joke. It would limit the number of days Biden could shut the border even if he wanted to.

Huge Irony of the Deal

The irony of the deal is that the flip side is over a hundred billion in additional spending on Ukraine and Israel that should not be spent at all.

And there’s still more. Here’s bonus point five.

“While the proposal negotiated by the White House and lawmakers would penalize those who enter the U.S. illegally, it would preserve asylum at official ports of entry. In fact, it would require U.S. border officials to continue processing more than 1,400 asylum-seekers daily at these official border crossings when the “shutdown” authority is invoked, sources told CBS News.

And how does this miracle happen? Here’s bonus point six.

“All the provisions being negotiated would require an enormous surge in personnel and resources, including detention facilities and deportation flights, to be implemented. The Biden administration has asked for $14 billion to fund border operations and hire additional asylum officers, border agents and immigration judges.”

Well, not to worry. The amazing deal Republicans negotiated would only allow 5,000 * 31 In January, March, May, July, October, and December.

My math says that’s 155,000 in those months and 150,000 in the rest except February.

What Republican dimwits negotiated these terms? These clowns are so desperate for money for Ukraine and Israel they will sign anything.

If anybody is qualified to tell one of the biggest lies in history, it’s Biden. By all accounts, his political career should have been over in the late 1980s when he was caught plagarizing, as well as lying about his academic record. But yet here we are. He’s the best and brightest that the dems have to offer.

I think you’d be hard pressed to find any Democrats who think Biden is the best and brightest they have to offer.

He was presented as their candidate specifically to beat Trump in 2020 when it became obvious that the leading candidate at the time, Sanders, had no shot at winning over Trump.

Now many realize he’s probably not the candidate to beat Trump in 2024 but that baring something unforeseen, they are stuck with him.

Biden is monumentally insulting to anyone with any self-respect and pride. Who the hell does he think he is fooling? His lies and disrespect for all listeners, is only surpassed by the blind ambition of the Govenor of California, Gavin Newsom, who claims Biden is the best President of his lifetime.

As Mark Baum said back in ’08:
“I have a feeling in a few years people are going to be doing what they always do when the economy tanks. They will be blaming immigrants and poor people.”

For over 40 years we’ve given away our net worth in the form of corporate welfare and free money for wealthy campaign donors.

We’ve been lied to that “it will pay for itself”, that it will “trickle down”, and all the perps have to do is say “Liberals want your guns”, mention “woke”, or “liberals love illegal immigrants” and the morons go nuts.

Those lost tax revenues created jobs in China, Mexico, Taiwan, everywhere but here, and now the right feeds it’s hungry dogs angry distractions…and it works.

We’re on the verge of watching a career criminal, conman, rapist run for the highest office, and still folks are obsessed with distractions.

There’s one born every minute and they appear to vote Republican.

We need workers. We do NOT need ILLEGALS that come to our country and get FREE health care, FREE food, FREE housing, etc. Illegals are not allowed to LEGALLY work in the US so they’re not paying income taxes (federal and state). These are only free to the illegals….nothing is free in life. WE are paying for these out of the taxes we pay. (state, federal, county, city, etc.)

What the heavy migration of Hispanics in the last forty years has done is decrease the percentage blacks in the population to a low level never seen before. Before the Cubans came into Florida, blacks were 25% of the population. After they dropped down to 20% then 16% and so forth. At the time they said that before they were second class citizens and now they are third class citizens. The same thing risks happening since the immigrants are heavily non-black. Some in the back community are starting to wake up to the fact that immigration hurts them directly and that those coming in are not necessarily their allies and if it continues, the influence of the black community will diminish.

Notice how many times the Chicago mayor uses the word ‘chaos” –

Brandon Johnson Hospitalized With Panic Attacks Over Migrants (youtube.com)

Scott Adams covered the “chaos” thing in a livestream a couple of days ago. Its a team blue tactic going back to the 90s (it was only “risky” then) to scare the oldsters hypnotized by the cable news propaganda. Works on any issue; certainly anything to do with Trump. I am surprised that particular word would work. 60 years ago on Saturday nights that Tennessee Tuxedo guy was in another sitcom where “KAOS” was a madcap version of the KGB.

Abbott should have kept the buses coming: Oak Park, Old Town, Lincoln Park, the mansion with 19 chimneys, Wicker Park, Logan Square, Lake View, Wrigleyville, Ravenswood, Northbrook, Wilmette, Winnetka, Kenilworth, Highland Park…

The dog that didn’t bark: nobody in Chicago media on one side or the other dares name Governor Fatso. He could stop the whole thing in a second by standing in the middle of I-57 at Cairo, IL .

We see how much respect and regard our top politicians have for the phrase “faithfully execute the laws of the United States” that is in their oath of office. What a government!

As for Mish’s remark “if you have not figured this out, it’s very inflationary.” – that is because of government’s choice in how to do it; print money in order to pay for it, along with so many other things too. If instead government taxed us to obtain the money, we would see the other end of the telescope, of having less money. The effect is the same. Government is deciding more of what our national production and national income will be “spent” on, leaving us less to spend on our own choices.

This is another issue where pundits debate the obvious, but do nothing. If Texas and the 25 other state Governors stand up to the Feds, what are they going to do – send in the Army? Even if they did, it would force the discovery of what ultimately collapses totalitarian coups, which is soldiers rarely fire on their own citizens, unless the military and LE are being replaced with foreigners (and that is being attempted).

Instead, people should be running for positions in their local and state govt’s to stop all this upside-down BS, like this woman – https://www.theepochtimes.com/epochtv/sole-republican-in-county-gets-arrested-wins-federal-suit-for-political-persecution-facts-matter-5574826?src_src=News&src_cmp=breaking-2024-01-29-2&est=05eKuD2i8Y6dAoC0mH0aBf7T4yYaMIdJEO5uxkyZv0x51DOYJ5pQmUN4p8%2BnWK9Fckw2XQ%3D%3D

“Has anyone done the math on this? 5,000 a day for 365 days is 1,825,000. There’s your trojan horse right there. We already know what’s inside.”

And that’s the exact number of boomers dying each day. Seems reasonable to me, we need the labor. The JOLTS report is out today and it went up to 9.03 million. It will keep going up as more and more people retire. It may go down in a recession but then when the economy roars back we’ll have huge labor shortages and huge inflation.

Who here doesn’t understand that the population is in an inverted pyramid and there won’t be enough people to pay into social security and medicare for the millions of boomers retiring?

The Congressional deal should be stop immigration in exchange for cutting social security and medicare. I’m on board with that but if that’s not going to happen then people need to keep coming in and given work authorization so they pay taxes, ss and medicare.

There is another way to obtain what you want: that candidates for immigration (at least a large part of them) are offered a work contract valid for a certain time, at the end of which they return at their home. It works like this in Singapore

And how much money will be spent on traveling back and forth? How much pollution? Are there enough planes, trains and boats to make this happen?

Won’t that drive inflation up for airline, train and ships? Won’t the new whining be about all the immigrants taking up all the plane, train and ship seats to come work here?

Will these contractors be paying into social security and medicare? Why should they if they will never benefit from it?

The truth is there are labor shortages all over the world. Germany just introduced a 4 day work week to attract more immigrants. France, Italy, Japan all have huge labor shortages as does most of the western world. China is in a demographic crisis too.

The world is filling up with old people and not enough young people to do the hard work. I say we grab as many as quickly as possible before other countries do OR we start cutting all these social programs. The math says its one or the other.

Toutatis

An immigrant comes and then goes back 3 years later. This does not make a lot of travel.
I think (as a boomer) that the best we can do for our youth is to start cutting all these social programs. We must not let the young people with this choice: either be burdened to pay huge social programs, or loose their country, be replaced. If that is the only choice we leave them, they will have the right to revolt against their parents

But we aren’t grabbing people who will work. Those being let in are children, their mothers, older people etc. The kids may one day work (decade or more) but the mothers and older people won’t. Instead all of them will be a drain on the current system which is something we absolutely don’t need.

I’m all for importing workers. But those need to be people who:
1) Are working age (18-40)
2) Have a viable skill (and no, working in the fields isn’t a viable skill)
3) No criminal record
4) Speak English (or are willing and able to learn it quickly)

There are the people we need to be courting to move to America from the rest of the world.

The illegals / temporary workers you are referencing are something entirely different. The US already has temporary worker visas in states like Texas where workers can come for a couple months, earn money and go home. Nothing needs to change with those policies.

I agree, and it works like this in South Korea too. I had to get a work visa sponsored in order to come here. If I lose my job, I have 60 days to find a new job, or I have to leave. If I overstay illegally, I’ll have to pay significant fines. I have to pay federal and local income taxes and I have to contribute monthly to national health insurance. I also had to provide a clean FBI criminal background check for my work visa and had to pass a piss test for drugs in order to qualify for legal residency. Nothing is free. It’s why the standard of living is so much higher here than in the USA and why I prefer to live here.

Growing the population is not always the best answer. Some countries get fill the jobs by giving out work visas. You can work but you cannot stay. I am not sure why we do not try that. Some may then apply to eventually become a citizen.

Maybe that should be a requirement to become a future citizen. Sort of like hiring a person as a contract worker before determining to hire them full time.

This may be a good way to vet productive versus freeloaders.

So lets understand this – here is a deal that is certainly better than the situation today and gives the president authority he did not have before (when people claim otherwise they never show the law). Should Biden win a 2nd term without the deal, would the situation be better or worse? Were Trump to win again, would he not immediately try to change the law to something else?

So rather than do something that is in a positive direction the GOP takes its marbles and goes home. Will be quite the chuckle if Biden wins again and makes the border even more permissive!

All of this is heading towards a biblical end of world war.

Up vote! Especially if they support the Hamas dogs.

Not all Muslims are radical Islamist. But the ones who are AND commit terrorist acts need to be liquidated. It’s that simple.

You can’t negotiate with them. They believe in an abomination of the Koran.

Not really. I think Hamas’s numbers are growing as Israel slaughters innocent men, women and children in the sanctimonious lust for vengeance.

Exactly. So Biden and democrat voters create a disaster at the border by breaking current immigration laws. And then demand Republicans give in to their demands in exchange for a token change in thier insane open border disorder. Break the immigration laws and then demand consessions to maybe “follow” the laws.

Insane indeed. The number of ways these 14M illegals will have negative effects on our economy, drugs, crime, etc in the coming years will be immense. There’s zero downside to closing the border.

The UniParty strikes again. The turtle needs to go. He’s an embarrassment to Congress.

Let’s see what the average news consumer believes about this scenario. Right now the Dems are well-positioned to either get what they want or make the GOP look like hypocrites wrt the border. This is not a claim as to what is really going down, just a claim about public perception.

Does anyone see a good way out of this for the GOP wrt public opinion?

The GOP should emphasize the true nature of this deal and the reasoning for turning it down. GOP should be shouting from the rooftops — or any media outlet that will listen — that a deal allowing 5k illegals per day isn’t really shutting down the border. It’s a game of semantics. But unfortunately, many Americans probably just read headlines.

It also wouldn’t hurt the GOP to enphasize that important national security and immigration issues shouldn’t be tied to aid for Ukraine and Isreal, which is a seperate unrelated issue. Just get out there and tell people that the deal flat out sucks.

The GOP should realize Democratic and MSM elites have become useful idiots to a progressive Marxists as exemplified by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Washington Post.

On the positive side….the more chaos our arrogant political masters create, the more likely the backlash against them.
Too many Americans will remain oblivious until disaster becomes undeniably apparent.

‘Frog in the kettle’ analogy and unfortunately 100% correct.

“My math says that’s 155,000 in those months and 150,000 in the rest except February.”
December saw 300,000 at the southern border.
If Biden gets to sign this, he will go into the election saying, “With the stroke of a pen, I reduced illegal immigration by 50%. Imagine what I could do with four more years.”
Any chance for the future of America is gone with the connivance of those few GOP senators.

The deflating BRICS people invade our country to send money to their families. The
Egyptian Lira collapsed. Tourism stopped and income from the Suez canal slowed
down. USD/EGPp popped up from 6 in Dec 2023 to 70. MBS refuses to take it. Al Sisi might be ousted. The want of dollars is growing.

“…What Republican dimwits negotiated these terms?…”

You know the answer to this Mish. Republicans have no interest in securing the border either. If Republicans go along with this dumpster fire of a bill, it will hurt thier chances of taking the Senate and maintaining a majority in the house this fall.

For the past 40 years everytime a deal was close the GOP scuttled it because immigaration is their single best fund raising issue.

We should all admit that our government really hates the citizens. Government is putting the welfare and health of it’s own citizens last.
Both the Democrats (all of them) and the Republicans (a lot of them) hate us!
There is no other reasonable explanation.

I don’t know if it’s hate, or if they simply see destitute immigrants as more malleable and thus better suited for thier (politicians) end game.

Regardless I get your underlying point and agree 100%.

The simple explanation isn’t hate. It is greed and extreme self-interest. If any one of us could get rich via insider trading, vote in accordance with special interest groups that pay to keep us elected, or extort special interest groups to pay to keep us elected, and have no requirement to produce anything how many would resist? The evidence says almost all of us would succumb.

Maybe. Alternatively maybe it says the kind of sociopaths inclined to seek political power would all succumb. Is it really a surprise that this kind of power attracts the worst human beings?

Migrants will do the work that foolhardy and overly proud Americans think they are too good to do. Who else is going to keep our economic engine humming until the robots take over? Jose will pick asparagus and green beans for eight bucks an hour with a smile on his face and financially support his entire family. Most “native” Americans won’t lift a finger until the min wage is $20
