Joe Biden: “No one F’s with a Biden”. The arrogance of that sentence explains a lifetime of graft followed by countless mulligans exceeded by no one in modern history.
‘Say it Nicer’: Hunter Makes a Familiar Last-Minute Offer to Congress
Seldom do I run into an article that I cannot condense down to a handful of paragraphs. But this is one of those times.
I highly recommend reading in entirety ‘Say it Nicer’: Hunter Makes a Familiar Last-Minute Offer to Congress by Jonathan Turley, Professor of Public Interest Law at the George Washington University Law School.
Background: Hunter Biden refused to testify in Congress. He is now seeking a second “valid subpoena”. The first one was entirely valid.
Teaser Snips
For decades, Hunter has conveyed an attitude that laws do not apply to him or to other Biden family members. After all, as his father once said, “no one f**ks with a Biden.”
Since he was a young man, Hunter seems to have been told that he lives a life of privilege that entitles him to considerations denied to others. Indeed, in Washington, it was an open joke when Hunter was put on the Amtrak board and later made its vice chair. When pressed on his lack of credentials for the position, Democratic Senator Tom Carper of Delaware quipped that “Hunter Biden has spent a lot of time on Amtrak trains.”
Not surprisingly, Hunter’s life of entitlement would lead to a life of excess and debauchery. He was one of Washington’s noble class, a scion of a political dynasty. In time, he would be brought into the family business of influence-peddling with his uncles. For decades, the Bidens have been accused of selling access and influence to Joe Biden.
As the Justice Department noted in its tax charges, Hunter spent his money on “drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing, and other items of a personal nature, in short, everything but his taxes.”
Hunter is now effectively telling Congress to “say it nicer,” and he just might appear. The problem is that the original subpoena was valid, and Congress does not have to ask a second time. There are no mulligans when it comes to criminal contempt.
It is likely that Hunter and his counsel expect that the fix is in, again, at the Justice Department. Given his last-minute offer (as when he paid his taxes at the last minute), Hunter no doubt hopes the Justice Department will decline to prosecute.
For Hunter, it is not about the fact that he committed a crime. That is for ordinary people. It is about being a Biden, and being entitled to a lifetime of mulligans.
Contempt of Congress
Please note that Former White House Advisor Convicted of Contempt of Congress
Former White House advisor Peter K. Navarro, 72, of Washington, D.C., was found guilty today by a U.S. District Court jury of two counts of contempt of Congress stemming from his failure to comply with a subpoena issued by the United States House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol.
Navarro was an advisor to Trump. Also note Stephen K. Bannon Sentenced to Four Months in Prison on Two Counts of Contempt of Congress
Bannon, 68, was found guilty by a jury on July 22, 2022, of one contempt count related to his refusal to appear for a deposition and another count related to his refusal to produce documents in response to a subpoena from the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. The verdict followed a trial in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
With glee the Democrats prosecuted Navarro and Bannon. Both were in contempt of Congress.
But Hunter will get a mulligan. Not a singe Democrat voted to hold Hunter in contempt.
Newsweek Comments
Newsweek commented on the Scathing Rebuke by Turley.
“The stunt caused pandemonium and infuriated members of Congress. Hunter demanded that they yield to his demands,” he wrote. “Once again, Democrats unanimously voted to protect him, even though they had demanded the same depositions in the past.”
Turley then pointed to when President Biden called for accountability from those who defied congressional subpoenas from the January 6 House select committee, which investigated the events surrounding the U.S. Capitol riot led by supporters of Donald Trump on January 6, 2021.
“Indeed, President Biden himself said that such defiance could never be tolerated in others. When asked about Trump supporters defying subpoenas he declared, ‘I hope that the committee goes after them and holds them accountable criminally,’” Turley wrote, adding, “Those people, however, are not Bidens.”
In a letter to the House Oversight and Judiciary committees on Friday, Hunter’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, said that his client would comply for a deposition if a new “proper” subpoena was issued.
What’s Next?
Given the first subpoena was valid, the House should not issue another.
If the full House approves the contempt citation, it would then be up to federal prosecutors to pursue a criminal case.
The fix may already be in. After all, “No one F’s with a Biden“.
If the Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia refuse to prosecute the charge, that will be the end of it as least as far as Hunter is concerned.
However, the stench will last through the election. As a campaign issue, it may be better for Republicans if the DOJ and the D.C. Attorney do refuse to prosecute.
If you have not already done so, please go back to that top link to see what Hunter has gotten away with already.

Mish, this is a grossly biased post. James Comer initially asked Hunter to come in to testify in public, assuming he wouldn’t come. When Hunter accepted the offer, Comer reneged the original offer, and demanded Hunter testify in private. Given that history, and the fact that House Republicans have been caught introducing fabricated evidence into the record, as well as inflammatory material that serves no purpose (see MTG’s obsession with Hunter’s **** pics), it’s more than clear that the Republicans’ goal here is to leak and distort the testimony given in private to push forward a false accusation they’ve failed to find evidence for after 6 years of investigation.
Republicans never prosecute Democrats for their crimes as they are soft on law and order
Democrats are a GANG just like the CCP in China
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Raising kids is one of the most important jobs of parents. The fact the Joe Biden’s kids are a disaster speaks volumes about Joe. Why would anyone trust Biden with the stewardship of this country? You had to be an absolute moron to pull the lever for Joe.
“Why would anyone trust Biden with the stewardship of this country?”
Indoctrination.
Stupidity.
Same reason they would trust Trump. Or Obama. Or Reagan. Or Kim. Or Chavez. Or Peron: The man on their TV says that if only this, latest, Dear Leader is elected: He’s going to make everything great. And then, the indoctrinated idiots go do their indocrinated idiot thing again. Every.Single.Time.
This is all beyond ridiculous now. And when it gets to this point its likely to get worse.
Comparing Hunter Biden, with violations of tax and weapons crimes, as the media has done, to the son of a former president with direct ties to hostile foreign entities, having already been in the cross hairs of Bob Mueller 5 years ago, for obstruction of justice and collaborating with those interfering in our elections, and, having previously dodged a felony indictment, with Ivanka, for real estate fraud, only by bribing the Manhattan DA. Remind me of Hunter Biden boasting about money flowing in from Russia, then, being allowed to pretend that none of this ever happened, wasn’t pertinent, or, isn’t still a factor of……INFLUENCE PEDDLING….Comer’s entire justification for his witch hunt. Influence peddling…Oleg Deripaska offered $200M for an aluminum plant in Kentucky/Mitch McConnell opened the Senate floor on a vote to remove sanctions from Deripaska’s companies in the middle of the government shutdown, when he refused a vote at that very time to reopen government…INFLUENCE PEDDLING! Oleg Deripaska, with a direct line/loan needing repayment, or, equivalent compensation, of 8 figures to Paul Manafort, Trump’ first campaign manager.
Stop trying to narrow this down to some minutely digestible and arguable nothing compared to the morass of unbridled private/family/financial/foreign government/NATO crushing conspiracies that are still too far outside of the realm of 4 ongoing criminal prosecutions in 4 jurisdictions, and, 91 felony indictments.
Trump 91
Biden 0
You must be a GANG member living off the USA tax payers
The entire biden family are corrupt. We know about joe and hunter but nobody is talking about dr jill who has been in on it all along. She is a criminal accomplice and has received the benefit of the ill begotten Biden Crime Family dealings. The only way to prove that joe bidens “nobody fs with a biden” is just crime boss bluster is to put ms crime boss in the slam.
“The entire biden family are corrupt.”
Along with the entire rest of the American political class.
There is no rule of law, actually it’s been gone along time,
Gen Z will not vote for Biden. Where can they go : Trump ?
If held today Sunak will lose election. It will be the worst defeat since Tony Blair.
Sunak is sending 20K British troops to NATO “Steadfast Defender 24”, NATO largest drill in eastern Europe since the end of the cold war, including 31 nations. The peace dividends are gone. GB enemies are taking over old choke points.
Two thirds of Yemenite are starving. The gov stopped paying them. Under the banner of Hamas protesters will be sentenced to death for treason, unless the US pay the Hooties few billions.
“Not a singe Democrat voted to hold Hunter in contempt.”
Democrats are lying when they say no one is above the law.
Hillary Clinton and her staff intentionally removed classified information from government servers and placed it on her illegal server to hide her pay-to-play bribery schemes. Then they all got immunity from prosecution, when they should have gone to jail for decades.
One Democrat offered to vote to hold Hunter in contempt, provided the Republicans also held all the Trump administration officials that ignored Jan 6th committee subpoenas. The Republicans refused, because they’re hypocrites.
“Former White House advisor Peter K. Navarro, 72, of Washington, D.C., was found guilty today by a U.S. District Court jury of two counts of contempt of Congress”
Let’s see if Hunter will be prosecuted under the proper subpoena and whether a D.C. jury will hold him accountable, as Navarro was, or whether they have a double standard for Democrats.
Regarding your focus on a double standard, let us know when Hunter’s subpoena extends from his actions and participation in a massive conspiracy to overturn the results of an election.
Are you talking about 2016?
Will Kamala pardon Hunter if Joe dies before his term of office is over? Especially if the DNC does not nominate her for VP or POTUS.
Kamala will do what she always does, and that is do what She is Told To Do, and nothing more, but perhaps a lot less. The Border quickly comes to mind.
The crime committed on the country is the two-tier justice system.
The FBI beginning with Hillawitch corrupting it, has become the lap dog protector of the DemoRats, and as is very evident the Biden crime family is untouchable, so far.
how far does someone need to go? the power Biden has, to pardon his son isvun believeable….. isvthat his only move?
There is nothing to pardon him from since you can’t pardon someone for something they haven’t been convicted for.
Hunter will only be prosecuted and convicted AFTER Joe leaves office. By then there is nothing Joe can do.
Are you sure? Didn’t Ford give Nixon a pardon of sorts so that he couldn’t be charged?
Pedo could give his coke head son a similar get out of gaol free card
The “pay to play” is getting harder and harder to conceal. Setting up a “foundation” is still a useful screen but for how long? Biden’s corruption is really the old school. I find it incredible that this hadn’t come up when he was vice-president.
I think within another 20 years they’re gonna nail that Hunter fella like it’s stigmata time. Until then, keep up the desperate search for the first piece of evidence that can be submitted in support of the prosecution.
There is no rush to prosecute. If Hunter was somehow convicted Joe could pardon him on the way out.
But you can’t pardon him from something that has yet to happen so the best plan is to wait till Joe leaves then go after Hunter.
Daddy won’t have political power much longer. Short term Hunter is right but long term, no more sham board positions, fake art sales, fake book deals and no more secret service protection. He hasn’t curbed his spending habits all that much either. Tea leaves are saying he will end up in prison for a whole new set of charges which at the point everyone gets to f*** with a Biden.
As soon as Joe isn’t president, 100% of Conservatives will no longer care about what happens to Hunter. This isn’t about your moral war against evil wrong doers. It’s about getting the Tangerine Terrorist re-elected.
100% wrong. I don’t care what political rat bastard child is charged with a crime. You shouldn’t either. Nobody should. He broke many laws many of which people have gone to jail spanning years both left and right. It’s wrong and has poisoned the Republic. If it’s not dealt with we are going to be dealing with something else very soon far far worse. That means you too.
Hunter has been spending a lot of resource to get someone to pity please f with a Biden.
None of those intelligence community “leaders” who signed the letter saying Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation are even qualified to operate my microwave oven.
Well, I’m convinced. I pledge to NEVER vote for Hunter!
Why not show up and refuse to answer any questions in this political hack hearing?
Because Gym Jordan isn’t worth the time, and Gym himself does not feel that subpoenas need to be respected. Look at his record.
Plain and simple, Joe is a grifter. Someone should have noticed better when Johnny Carson was making fun of him back in 1979 for lifting Bobby Kennedy’s speech’s. The guy is a joke. He would sell anyone down the river to better himself. Can the dems select no one else other than an 81 year old grifter ? Kamala or Bernie perhaps? LOL.
Replace “Joe” with “Donald” and “dems” with “repubs” and its just as true.
That is somewhat true. At least Donald cares about how much fentanyl flows across the border. Which is approx killing someone every 11 seconds in the US. Joe uttered the word “fentanyl” once (possibly twice) in the first 2 years of his presidency. How many times has he called 73 million people in this country “ultra maga”? LOL. I think it is safe to say that you Dem’s could care less and are indifferent about the fentanyl flowing across. Unless of course it is George Floyd ingesting 3.9 micrograms of it (just under 4 times the lethal amount). But why care about that. You can just blame it on a 140 lbs cop who had his knee up against the back of his head.
Nobody can do chit about fentanyl except for making all drugs legal
Not even close. Not even in the same zip code. Except you got the dems and repubs part right.
You are clutching at straws with that argument.
It really isn’t. Your side is the dirty side, and they will get their comeuppance.
Joe and his family have made ALL their wealth from his political position. You can’t compare that to Trump as he built his wealth BEFORE entering politics
#FalseEquivalence Many politicians move from modest means to a degree of wealth as a result of legitimate methods, including speaking fees, book deals, etc. Biden’s tax returns, public knowledge, leave no suspicious means leading to the wealth acquired. Don’t bother with Comer’s fuzzy math here. I’ll share this ratio with you for reference. There is a 67:1 ratio of very well-documented grifting in the Trump/Kushner households just since 2015, when compared to that acquired by all Bidens in the same period. Trump’s taxes were nobody’s business. Then, why are Biden family member’s affairs, with no ties to Joe Biden while he was in office? The GOP has sanctioned a witch hunt on private citizen Joe Biden during his time between leaving the Vice Presidency and occupying the White House
Why would you even dare to compare wealth publicly disclosed, and, documented, to wealth inherited, squandered, and, manipulated around Constitutional barriers, with the encouragement of the entire GOP. The emoluments case, more high crimes and misdemeanors (impeachment articles to add to the pile) was clearly a step in the right direction, but, was completely dropped after Trump left office.
Re “legitimate methods, including speaking fees, book deals, etc.”
You’re joking, right?
Books that are never bought, except by political allies?
Art bought by political allies on special terms?
Speaking fees vastly in excess of information value provided, paid for by those someone aided while in office?
Tips for “legalized” insider trading while in office?
What about family charities? Donations to nieces and nephews?
Just because we’re not always talking about gold coins (Menendez from New Jersey) or stacks of Benjamins in the freezer (Jefferson from Lousiana), doesn’t mean the politicians aren’t on the take. Any event involving (a) money and (b) a major political figure is almost certainly corrupt nowadays.
We do agree on one thing: there’s plenty of corruption in both parties
… “vampire squids, relentlessly sticking their blood funnels into
anything that smells like money”.
Meanwhile war-criminal Dumbya goes around saying that the worst thing he ever did in his life was trade Sammy Sofa.
Actually speaks more about dem voters than the sorry bidens.
