In Creampuff Interview, CNN Spoon Feeds Harris the Answers to its Questions

If you were wondering how much cream puffery there would be in CNN’s Dana Bash interview of Kamala Harris, we now have the answer.

Is It Because?

Please consider the CNN report Harris explains in exclusive CNN interview why she’s shifted her position on key issues since her first run for president

Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday offered her most expansive explanation to date on why she’s changed some of her positions on fracking and immigration, telling CNN’s Dana Bash her values haven’t shifted but that her time as vice president provided new perspective on some of the country’s most pressing issues.

In the CNN exclusive sit-down interview, Harris also said she would name a Republican to serve in her Cabinet if elected.

Pressed by Bash on her reversals on fracking and decriminalizing illegal border crossings, Harris sought to explain why her positions had changed.

“How should voters look at some of the changes that you’ve made?” Bash asked Harris. “Is it because you have more experience now and you’ve learned more about the information? Is it because you were running for president in a Democratic primary? And should they feel comfortable and confident that what you’re saying now is going to be your policy moving forward?”

On Thursday, Harris pointed to the Biden administration’s Inflation Reduction Act, which provided record investments in combatting climate change, as an example of her climate record.

My values have not changed. So that is the reality of it. And four years of being vice president, I’ll tell you, one of the aspects, to your point, is traveling the country extensively,” she said, pointing to her 17 visits to Georgia since becoming vice president. “I believe it is important to build consensus, and it is important to find a common place of understanding of where we can actually solve problems.”

Values Unchanged

Yeah right.

Perhaps in this sense: I will tell whatever lies I need to to win in November.

Let’s modify the title of CNN article to a more appropriate “Harris explains why she’s shifted her position on key issues and CNN was pleased to give her the answers right in its questions.”

Are You Expecting a Creampuff Interview of Harris and Walz by CNN?

On August 27, I asked Are You Expecting a Creampuff Interview of Harris and Walz by CNN?

One of my readers responded, “No. Why?”

Another said “Betteridge’s law of headlines”.

The law of headline says “Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no.”

I replied “So you are not expecting a cream puff interview? And do you speak for everyone?”

For the record, I am very aware of the law and purposely ask questions that have yes, no, or maybe answers.

The Harris platform, so far.
I think more like a cannoli.
Stuffed with fattening sweet goo.
Deep fried so it’s crusty on the outside.
Sometimes it has green sprinkles on the outside.

Each time Harris answered a question, she first looked down for the length of time necessary to read a text. Was Harris allowed to have a smart phone to assist her response.

Harris vows tougher approach on migration, supports weapons for Israel
By Andrea Shalal, Steve Holland and Stephanie Kelly
August 29, 2024

Summary
– Harris’ first formal interview since nomination
– Harris has moved to center on immigration, fracking
– Could name a Republican to cabinet if elected
– Harris leads Trump 45% to 41% in Reuters/Ipsos poll

SAVANNAH, Georgia/WASHINGTON, Aug 29 (Reuters) – Kamala Harris vowed a tougher approach to migration along the U.S. southern border and said she would not withhold weapons to Israel, in her first interview with a major news organization since becoming the Democratic nominee for president.

In the interview with CNN anchor Dana Bash, Harris sought to show she is in command of the issues and give Americans a sense of her policy positions with little more than two months until Election Day on Nov. 5.

Yeah, its weird. Like Trump, when he was a democrat, was pro choice, then when he ran as a Republican, and needed those Evangelical votes, he became “pro-life”, and then now that abortion is actually unpopular and the public keeps voting to keep it, he’s going back to pro choice. It’s weird how that happens. I mean, that, candidates who want to get elected by the people, somehow change their positions to what the people want. Just weird.

None of that is true; Trump has never been a Democrat or a Republican, and has never taken a position on that issue.

Her values haven’t changed. As Border Czar, she let some10 million illegal aliens into the country. Despite claiming to finish the wall, she said nothing about deporting those who illegally entered the U.S. with Harris’s help. What does finish the wall even mean? A court recently ordered what Trump had authorized, to be finished.

“Harris also said she would name a Republican to serve in her Cabinet if elected.”

She has a group of Republicans for Harris, to choose from. They turned their back on the Republican Party, so they would be a great fit for Harris.

So, what did you want Mish? A “gotcha” interview with a bunch of surprise questions that she couldn’t answer to make her look bad? That is the opposite of creampuff.

They asked her about Fracking and she said she’s changed her stance and that their admin did not “ban fracking” and that she wouldn’t in the future. And that allowing it to continue while continuing to promote and subsidize green energy initiatives is a perfectly acceptable way to proceed.

They asked her the stupidest question of all, “What will you do on day 1?” with an implication to “make things better”. Well the answer to that is that absolutely nothing, no change, happens on “Day One!!!” that alters the course of the future. You have to build consensus and work with enough people (from both sides of the aisle) in order to do anything meaningful legislatively. The “Day 1” question is just nonsense.

They asked her about “Bidenomics” and if she approved of their economic progress, and she said that she was proud of their accomplishments and looked forward to doing more. After the initial spike in inflation, it has come steadily down. People have had jobs, and, there is more to do. She said her focus is on the middle class and she won’t be giving tax reduction to corporations and wealthy people, but, spoke of the general theme that her efforts would be focused on helping the majority of people (middle and lower middle class citizens). So, in the end, what is wrong with any of that?

Of course, no media (neither right wing or left wing (or absurd MAGA wing)) ever asks anyone, “When and how are we going to turn around our deficit spending ways?”, even though virtually everyone thinks it’s a problem.

No one ever asks, if the Fed’s solution to inflation is to raise rates until it slows the economy and people start losing jobs, or can’t afford a house because the payments are too high, how does that actually benefit the people that need help (ie those people who are going to end up losing their jobs?).

And what about if all of this AI investment works, will it not put a huge amount of white collar paper pushing jobs out of existence? When that happens, what are the repercussions for the overall employment outlook?

So, you can badmouth “The Media” all you want, but, in reality we need politicians that actually will find a way to work together and be forward looking, and not this horrible confrontational “do nothings” that we’ve had for the past ten years. And, in the end, without saying, that is what I think Kamala Harris is basically running on.

That’s sidestepping the question.

The Democrat Party has overtly called vast swathes of the electorate a threat to democracy, whilst simultaneously indulging in attempting to exclude minor party candidates from the primaries and ballots, and indulging in overt and obvious election interference via spurious lawfare cases against their main rival, and whilst avoiding unscripted interviews, and whilst shovelling cash into the accounts of the industrial military complex to fund a dubious American war in Ukraine, and after bullshitting the whole world about unnecessary experimental vaccinations, gaslighting on race riots and protests against ballot harvesting on January 6th, and whilst indulging in rampant money laundering and corruption… Oh and dumping helicopter money funded by debt.. and breaking illegal immigration laws.. and attempting to censor citizens online..
The list in endless… This weird democrat cultish regime is like a banana republican party nothing to do with democracy. Just liars and morons – that’s the democrats.

They vilified those who reject them.

Ask her WHY exactly she’s changing her positions? Especially if she insists that she’s “not changing her values.” Ask her how she reconciles her values so that they’re consistent with two completely opposite policies?

Ask her why Biden/Harris let millions of ppl walk right into this country.

Ask her if she was aware of the schools, parks and public places in poor areas that were taken from the public’s use and converted to migrant shelters?

Ask her if she’s aware of any wealthy areas in America having any such public spaces shelters built in their communities?

Ask her why she didn’t do anything to close the border and deport the ppl she had let walk in after seeing the impact on poorer Americans?

Ask her why Biden/Harris thought pumping billions of dollars into the economy would NOT lead to inflation.

What is the highest rated television media in the country? Foxnews? Is it “in the pocket of the Democrat Party”? No, it spews nonstop propaganda against that very party and it’s candidates. So, whatever you call “MSM”, you have just as much blatant propaganda and “softball” interviews, coming from outlets that favor the right and the left. On both sides, it’s all nonsense to gain ratings by getting viewers riled up to hate the “other”, without ever really talking anything of substance.

The reason why a “soft landing” is a fairy tale straight out of La-La-Land is all bubbles pop, and a “soft landing” is based on bubbles remaining unpopped. In the “soft landing” scenarios, mind-boggling bubbles remain at “permanently high plateaus” as gamblers rotate out of one soaring sector into another soaring sector, in an endless rotation that keeps the entire speculative bubble fully inflated forever–or close to forever, which in today’s world is a few years.

In March, 2002, two years after the dot-com bubble had topped out, Scott McNealy, co-founder and CEO of dot-com darling Sun Microsystems, wrote a now-famous encapsulation of the difference between strong fundamentals and a bubble:

“At 10 times revenues, to give you a 10-year payback, I have to pay you 100% of revenues for 10 straight years in dividends. That assumes I can get that by my shareholders. That assumes I have zero cost of goods sold, which is very hard for a computer company. That assumes zero expenses, which is really hard with 39,000 employees. That assumes I pay no taxes which is very hard. And that assumes you pay no taxes on your dividends which is kind of illegal. And that assumes with zero R&D for the next 10 years, I can maintain the current revenue run rate. Now, having done that, would any of you like to buy my stock at $64? Do you realize how ridiculous those basic assumptions are? You don’t need any transparency. You don’t need any footnotes. What were you thinking?”

Lest we forget, Dana was married to Jeremy Bash, Chief of Staff at CIA under Leon Panetta in the Obama Admin. Good old Jeremy, a lawyer by trade, also signed the psyop letter by 51 Intel Community members declaring that Hunter’s laptop appeared to be Russian disinformation. Which Joe declared to be the case at one of the debates. Into the sea with all of them.

Not sufficient!

Vampires sucking the blood of society must be slain thoroughly:

Stake thru the heart.

Then decapitation.

Then burned.

Finally, once they stop trying to get back together, you can scatter the ashes at sea!

The only relevant question is whether this interview helped, hurt, or was neutral for Harris. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what the polling shows.

I don’t disagree, but other media outlets will report on the interview so it’s gonna get circulated and spun up 6 ways to Sunday by both sides of the isle.

If only he’d brought a bicycle with training wheels.

That would have been EPIC!

Not a genetic fit.

And Walz’s answers were even more pathetically evasive than Harris’.

It’s clear he lied in claiming to have served in combat carrying a weapon in war – he had no response.

It’s clear he lied about prior drunk driving incident – he had no response.

What’s funniest is how he’d lied about fertility treatments – though I can see why he wouldn’t want anyone to know he had to have his own sperm mechanically injected into his wife’s uterus to get her pregnant (apparently they did IUI fertilization, but he claimed IVF which is the one where the eggs go in a test tube).

The man literally has no sense of honor or honesty.

I’m not taking Walz side but you do know that Trump is the other candidate? [rotflol]

I hear you. But Trump’s bragging and exaggeration is not at the same level of dishonesty and evasion as what Walz did.

Can you see either Harris or Walz being capable of taking the media, Deep State and legal abuse that Trump has for 8 years? That has been well beyond normal political bounds, even for the US, and Trump can be excused a bit because of that.

Do you see either of Harris or Walz being the type to stand up after getting shot at, and bravely urge their supporters to stand firm?

I”m not pro-Trump, was seriously planning to vote RFK, but I’m definitely anti-DNC.

Be serious. DO you know how many people have sued and are suing Trump for dishonest business dealings?
