Trump sat down with host Lesley Stahl for about 45 minutes on Tuesday before he abruptly ended the interview and told the network he believed they had enough material to use, according to two sources.
His truncated taping on “60 Minutes,” which was followed by a cryptic tweet accusing Stahl of not wearing a mask at the White House, seemed an extension of what has been Trump’s visible irritation as he enters the campaign’s final days.
Trump and Pence were scheduled to appear on camera together, like they did four years ago, for a walk and talk session. But Trump did not return for the appearance with Pence, sources said.

She also told him during the interview that allegations about Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, were not verified and that the Obama administration did not spy on the Trump campaign. Many of the questions were about the coronavirus pandemic and his handling of it, the person said.

Obama’s FBI went to get OK from FISA Court to spy on Carter Page and then used NSA’s two-hop allowance with that FISA Court decision to spy on everybody who contacted Carter Page and everyone who contacted someone who had contacted Carter Page and Trump and most of Trump’s campaign was under surveillance.
DNI Ratcliffe, DOJ and FBI have verified that the laptop is Hunter Biden’s and the emails on the laptop are Hunter Biden’s so Stahl made a fool of herself if she made those claims that it is not verified.

Maybe he stipulated the order the interview topics were discussed in advance and decided to leave before the more difficult ones came up? Also 60 minutes would have less footage to edit so would feel compelled to include most of what was taped and not edit out so much. Usually 60 minutes has 3-4 segments lasting about 15-20 minutes each.
In this case Biden, Kamala, Pence and Trump are all on the same 60 minutes so they have 15 minutes each so I am sure 60 minutes can cut and edit from that 45 minutes Trump gave them and 15 minute segment or 20 minute segment if the VP candidates are given just 10 minutes each.

The question isn’t how the interview went, it’s how the interview will be presented. Stahl could, for instance, edit it to show softballs, then Trump getting up and leaving with the quote in voice-over. Bailing wasn’t an option if Trump still believes 60 Minutes can get him air time with anyone persuadable. But, 60 Minute viewers will see what they see.
Trump leaving early can’t help but get mentioned on 60 minutes. This is already a disaster for Trump.
