Trump’s Energy Pledge

  • Clip 1: With the Trump economic plan, we will will cut your energy prices in half within – lock it down – you can get get very angry at me if we don’t do it – but within 12 months your energy prices will be cut in half.
  • Clip 2: My plan will cut energy prices in half or more than that within 12 months of taking office.
  • Clip 3: Number one, your energy bill within 12 months will be cut in half. That’s my pledge all over the country. To farmers, that’s my pledge all over the country.
  • Clip 4: If you vote for me, I will cut your energy and electricity in half within 12 months. We’re gonna cut them down.
  • Clip 5: And under my plan we will cut energy and electricity in half within 12 months. And that means your homes too.
  • Clip 6: I will cut your energy and electricity prices in half. 50 percent. Five O, within 12 months of taking office.
  • Clip 7. My plan will cut energy prices in half within 12 months. We’re gonna have energy prices for businesses, but in my opinion maybe even more importantly for the average household by 12 months from January 20th which is the day we go into office.
  • Clip 8: I will cut the price of energy and electricity in half. Ready? 12 months from January 20, your electric bill, including cars, air conditioners, heating, everything. Your total electric bill will be fifty, five o, fifty percent less. We’re gonna cut it in half.
  • Clip 9: And I will cut energy and electricity prices in half within 12 months of taking office. Fifty percent.
  • Clip 10: The pledge that I am making now, and we’ve done this a little bit over the last month or so, we are going to bring energy down by 50 percent, five o percent, fifty percent within 12 months from January 20.

Portions of those clips are guaranteed to make some great campaign ads for the midterm elections.

Democrats only have one easy task in November. All they have to do is run against Trump.

Mish should have projected the current rise in the price of gas vs inflation relative to the increase in gas prices in 2021, after Russia invaded Ukraine. During the start of the Ukraine war average gas price increased to a peak of $5, and remained above $4 for half a year.

The bad news is that this problem is all to human. It has been an economic principal here in the US of at least 50 years. I wasn’t around to observe if it was true before that.

Democrats would be well advised to run a presidential candidate that is not far left. One that will listen to republican voters as well. One that will reduce the deficit. There is no doubt that they will win a lot of seats in November, but they now have the opportunity to keep power for decades as long as they don’t go to the extreme. Americans want middle of the road rational leadership. I doubt democrats can deliver that on a consistent basis. The memory of Trump will not linger for long. A candidate like Massie could in fact win in 2028 if the democrats put forward a far left candidate. They should not run Harris, she might win but would likely only get four years.

All my life I have been listening to what has been called the “Middle East Peace Process”. In actuality, it has been a war process.

Trillions have been spent and all we have is massive debt and maimed service members to show for it.

Regionally, the death toll is probably in the millions and those displaced from their homes in the hundreds of millions (it is a populous region).

To think that the Pentagon has not gamed this through is naive. There has been no restraint thus far and I do not see any restraint on the horizon. Get ready for another long slog that in the end, will free the Iranian people of the burden of owning all that oil.

In the meantime, many nations are likely to run out of oil, and entire economies will be ruined. The people residing in the US are the most likely to be unaffected.

Grim, but interesting times…

Iran Issues 10 Million Rial Banknote Amid Soaring Inflation

Sunday, Mar 22, 2026 – 12:30 PM

As the Iran war rages, Tehran has rolled out a new 10 million rial banknote, its highest-ever denomination, as authorities seek to “manage” soaring inflation and meet demand for hard cash… but mostly to “manage” soaring inflation, similar to how Venezuela would add a new 0 to its currency every week in the late days of the Maduro ergime before everyone simply gave up.

Banks, which have been targeted on at least one occasion by Western strikes, began distributing the new note this week, which is worth about $7, as Iranians waited in long lines at cashpoints to withdraw currency over fears electronic systems could fail. Many quickly ran out.

They really sacrificed their economy to fight back the world hegemon and
regional hegemon.
You can imagine the costs of tunnels ( hundreds of ), filled with thousands
and thousands of drones and missiles and manufacturing all underground.
They have been preparing for many many years.
So don’t expect they will give up.

I have no expectation that they will quit. Either they have to be wiped out and replaced with a sane government or more likely, Trump, like every past president, will give up under the unrelenting sympathizing for terrorists.

And there is. Iran’s economy is weaker than it’s military. Hit their economy not their girls’ schools. Trump should close the straits of Hormuz. Let them eat sand.

Of course it will. Anybody with a brain knows that. The unknown is how long will the price last and neither you nor I know that. For now more and more ships are getting through but hard to say if it is lasting. A blip up is no problem. $100 is not much a problem either. $130 and above then we will see some demand destruction so inflation would come down as well as the economy. In Asia they are already above $130 but they are especially dependent on oil from the Persian Gulf while the US isn’t although you can see the arbitrage pushing up US oil prices.

To get back to it, a bit of inflation will come but it won’t be like we saw under Biden. If worse comes to worse and it remains closed, the max disruption would last at most 3 years and by then world production would have made up the shortfall with prices falling before then as the market looks forward.

“some demand destruction so inflation would come down as well as the economy
US economy is 70% consumption. Inflation will come down means likely fall into
recession.
And world economy is more likely than US falling into recession which will also
severely affect USA, world central bank which needs to save the USA and world
economy. World central bank will need many trillion dollars to save and don’t expect
Europe, Japan, China to come and rescue the world economy.
Currently big economies, Europe, Japan, South Korea are in big troubles in a few
weeks or months.

AND? I fail to understand the proliferation of whining articles like these across the internet.

Were we supposed to allow a Iran and its leadership to continue to fund terror throughout the Middle East and destabilize the area, which happens to include our close partner Israel and to build a nuclear arsenal because ooohhh there will be an economic hit and you might have to pay a little more for gas for a while? So sad….

Time to get serious! Iran was a clear and present danger to the Middle East and the world and needed to be stopped. And we might well have to do the same to North Korea someday. Here’s a list of:

IRANIAN NUCLEAR VIOLATIONS

• EXCEEDED URANIUM ENRICHMENT AMOUNTS ALLOWED

• SURPASSED THE 300 KILOGRAM LIMIT ON LOW-ENRICHED URANIUM

• INSTALLED AND OPERATED ADVANCED CENTRIFUGES

• PRODUCED URANIUM METAL

• BREACHED LIMITS FOR HEAVY WATER STOCKPILES

• IAEA FOUND URANIUM PARTICLES IN UNDECLARED SITES

• RESTRICTED IAEA ACCESS

• SUSPENDED SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS

• RAMPED UP URANIUM ENRICHMENT

• REFUSED TO CAP ENRICHMENT

On the day Trump was elected, Regular gas at my benchmark station was $2.96
Today it is $4.09
So that’s up $1.13 = 39%

The metal roofing/siding I usually buy for my outbuildings is going up 12% on Monday, so I stockpiled enough for the three new buildings. Some demand is being pulled forward.

PARTIAL LEAK OF NEXT SPEECH!!!

… shall go on to the end. We shall front-run in Brent, we shall front-run west Texas on the plains of the Permian, we shall front-run with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall enrich our crooked families, whatever the cost may be.

We shall front-run the term sheet, we shall front-run with the talking point, we shall front-run in the CNBC anteroom, cloakroom and greenroom.

We shall never trade fair!

And if, which I do not for a moment believe, this economy were to falter, then we shall simply rename the recession a “transition” and front-run the recovery before the word leaves the lectern.

Well, actually it’s been more than twelve months, so technically is he wrong? Maybe he’s saying that he cut energy prices within twelve months, but he forgot to mention that all bets are off after that. I mean we’re 14 months after he started office, and he can claim that he didn’t promise to KEEP prices low.

Promises made, promises kept. drumpf logic is it’s own logic.

If you are a serious and honest conservative, you might have voted for Trump. Now, given the madness and extreme dishonesty we have all experienced from Trump, if you are a serious and honest conservative, you will have to vote for the Democrats in the next set of elections, just to try and repair the damage he has done. The Republicans seem to be in self-destruct mode. Who would have thought that this was even possible?

How can someone look at a man who has a perfect record of bankrupting casinos, perhaps aside from being a drug cartel the best guarantee to make profits, and then hand him the keys to our nation? You’re being generous in your wording.
