Israel Claims Iran Hatched Fresh Plot to Kill Trump. Is this Believable?

Are you a believer, disbeliever, or neither?

Fresh Plot to Kill Trump

The Wall Street Journal reports Iran Hatched Fresh Plot to Kill Trump, Israel Told U.S.

Israel shared new intelligence with the U.S. that it said indicated a fresh Iranian plan to kill President Trump, people familiar with the matter said, a finding that would mark an escalation in the war between Washington and Iran.

Iran for years has vowed openly to retaliate against Trump for the assassination of Qassem Soleimani, who was a top general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in the president’s first term.

The Israeli Embassy in Washington declined to comment. Iran’s Mission to the United Nations didn’t respond to a request for comment. The White House referred The Wall Street Journal to comments the president made on Wednesday.

Trump on Wednesday alluded to threats to his life when speaking to reporters in Ankara, Turkey.

“They want to take out the U.S. leader—me,” he said. “I’m on every list. I saw this morning, I’m on every single one of their lists. And so far, I guess I’ve been a little bit lucky, but that maybe doesn’t last very long.”

Relations between Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have splintered in recent weeks as their interests diverged over continuing the Iran war.

Netanyahu has advocated for keeping up attacks on Iran and accomplishing more war aims. Trump has sought a way out of the conflict, citing concerns it could tank the global economy. The U.S. struck a fragile ceasefire with Iran last month.

Iranian mourners at the funeral for slain Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei chanted for Trump’s death, with mourners unveiling a banner that read “We Will Kill Trump.”

Reasons to Be Sceptical

  • Banners and slogan “Death to America” are not credible threats.
  • Trump is a liar
  • Netanyahu is a liar.
  • Netanyahu will do anything to keep the prospects of war alive.
  • Where’s the evidence?

It’s easy to believe Iranian leadership wants Trump dead. But does that mean they are launching a credible threat other than agreeing they want Trump dead?

Whatever evidence there is, fabricated or not, Trump and Netanyahu are certainly likely to overstate that evidence albeit for different reasons.

Trump wants to portray himself as a martyr and Netanyahu wants to goad Trump down the path of war.

I’m Not a Believer

None of this is particularly believable, but that does not mean it’s false.

Just color me seriously skeptical of the threat and the seriousness of that threat, even if true.

What about you?

Frankly, I don’t care if there is ANY assassination plot against Trump. He has said such provocative and dehumanizing things about other presidents, ours as well as other countries, has made.threats, has literally killed and imprisoned state leaders and yet, here he is crybabying and playing let’s you and him fight.

I remember watching Obama’s first inauguration parade. The moment when Michele Obama stepped out of the limousine and stood looking at the crowd was so frightening and it was clear that she herself was afraid. But she stood there and then she walked. Some people are brave. Now we have a cowardly blustering blaggard shell of a human being posturing and praising himself before the world. It’s beyond hubris. There is no fate that might befall him so bad that it could be called undeserved.

1/4 (being conservative with that fraction) of all Americans are more likely to suggest Michelle Obama is a man than they are to give her a compliment like you did. Perhaps that is what is really the problem in our nation. People refusing to give credit to others, and demanding it for themselves. If that is the US dream, Trump is the perfect role model.

So many reasons to think that the Iranians will not do this:

  • It would almost certainly trigger overwhelming US retaliation
  • It would unite a deeply divided America
  • It would turn Trump into a martyr
  • His replacement would be more effective at building an anti-Iran coalition
  • Trump’s erratic behaviour benefits Iran by unsettling allies, undermining NATO-style coordination and creating splits between Washington, Europe and Israel
  • It would destroy any prospect of negotiations, sanctions relief or diplomatic rehabilitation
  • It would validate Israel’s argument that Iran is an irredeemably aggressive terrorist state
  • A failed attempt would have no benefit and lead to many of the items above

The above would largely benefit Israel not Iran.

The most likely strategy success for Iran here is to consume Trump in his fragile and unintelligent ego. If he is consumed with thinking he is so great that his enemies want to kill him, it won’t make him a better negotiator or Commander in Chief. We need to remember, Iran’s goal for victory here is not military victory, it is blowing the biggest hole in the side of the USS USA that they possibly can.

That said, you are aware that half of this country wants him dead — Iranian assassination (via Israel of course) should be the least of his worries.

  • Trump is a liar
  • Netanyahu is a liar.

Play logical fallacy bingo every time they tweet or speak. The real challenge is to find the non-“logical fallacy” pronouncements.

1. Fallacies of Relevance
These arguments distract from the core issue by introducing irrelevant information, emotions, or personal attacks.

  • Ad Hominem: Attacking the person making the argument rather than addressing their actual reasoning.
  • Appeal to Emotion: Manipulating the audience’s feelings (like pity or fear) to win them over instead of providing factual evidence.
  • Red Herring: Introducing an unrelated topic to divert attention away from the original argument.

2. Fallacies of Insufficiency
These occur when the evidence provided to support an argument is far too weak or non-existent.

  • Hasty Generalization: Drawing a broad conclusion based on a small or unrepresentative sample size.
  • Appeal to Authority: Assuming a claim is true simply because an authority figure (who may not even be an expert in that field) said it.
  • False Cause (Post Hoc): Assuming that just because two events happened sequentially, one caused the other.

3. Fallacies of Presumption
These fallacies rely on faulty or unwarranted assumptions about the conversational context.

  • False Dichotomy (False Choice): Presenting an issue as an “either/or” scenario when there are actually multiple alternatives available.
  • Slippery Slope: Claiming that a minor first step will inevitably lead to a chain reaction of catastrophic events, without providing evidence.

4. Fallacies of Ambiguity
These manipulate language and meaning to confuse the audience or twist an opponent’s words.

  • Straw Man: Misrepresenting or exaggerating an opponent’s argument to make it much easier to attack.
  • Equivocation: Using the same word or phrase in multiple different senses within an argument to intentionally mislead.

Ive found Straw Man, Ad Hominem, and Red Herring in every appearance.

Israel lies. Here is a large consequential one where they lied directly to the US president:

==

Historical evidence indicates that Israel did mislead the Johnson administration regarding how the fighting started on the morning of June 5, 1967. [1, 2, 3]
When the conflict began, Israeli officials informed the White House that Egypt had initiated the hostilities. However, it is an established historical fact that Israel actually launched a massive, surprise preemptive airstrike (Operation Focus) against Egyptian airbases, catching Egypt entirely off guard. [1, 2, 3, 4]

The Deception

On June 5, 1967, Israeli Foreign Minister Abba Eban and the Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. presented the Johnson administration with assurances and claims that Egypt had fired first. The Israelis specifically claimed that Egyptian forces had initiated firing on Israeli settlements and that an Egyptian squadron was observed heading toward Israel. [1, 2, 3]

Declassified CIA intelligence assessments from the time cast doubt on these claims. CIA and State Department analysts who tracked the initial movements observed that it was Israel that launched the first coordinated strike, not Egypt. [1, 2, 3]

You and too many others refer to the the Iranians as a single entity. They are not.

The Iranian Regime and the IRGC are a small percentage of the total Iranian population. And even among the political leadership and the military IRGC, there are numerous factions jockeying for power.

IF the people of Iran could vote in a fair election, they would depose their current leadership and select a more moderate, non-religiously driven replacement.

There is a really nasty possible process-development here: Trump gets assassinated – but by an American patriot – a John Wilkes Booth kind of guy, seeking to put an end to the evident “tyrany” of Trumpism. So, does this mean the great and noble American military goes berserker on Iran? Perhaps… but then what? America now has proved to the world two things: 1) It is a crazy-dangerous nation run by bat-sh/t crazy, war-seeking bad folks, and 2) Mass-murder is now just about all USA has left to offer the world. Now that is just not a good outcome. China could actually declare full-on war against USA, and actually claim they were doing righteous, honorable and necessary work. Russia could join the fight – with their real weapons, not the small stuff. NATO does what? Maybe it says it is seeking more information… and waits just a bit. The whole thing gets “open-ended” very quickly. Iran has not attacked USA. But it is tiny, weak, and cannot. But a China-Russia partnership, created to deal with the out-of-control global-threat that USA is now showing the world, is a different scale. NATO will not likely declare war on China+Russia, if the whole enterprise is made to appear as a “police action” to just restore world order. This is not a far-fetched scenario. That Trump fellow is playing right into this plan. He is making USA look like kill-crazy bandits, on the World stage. We think this is unwise, and much more dangerous than many realize.

You forget about nuclear weapons. There’s not much that can stop them, not even an EMP. Russia and China could use a cyberattack to screw the US up severely but we could probably do the same. Some major military assets, like carriers, could be knocked out of play but the triad still stands tall as well as are allies who have some of the same. And if Trump is anything, it’s erratic.

I believe there are plots all the time, the issue isn’t that so much as the sudden need to disclose it or the random(?) times they choose to disclose it. Guessing the info is leaked when convenient to move a narrative, distract, highlight…but the Secret Service and related agencies are busy 24×7 addressing threats and plots.

The Uraniums opted to shoot at tankers despite their favorable deal, I think it possible. There was no need to target Biden because the actual President was a group of unelected bureaucrats and thus the assassin plotters would have had no actual idea any more than the rest of us as to who was making the decisions. I guess one could have targeted the Autopen, a term I hadn’t heard, like “a lid”, until the Biden Administration.

The MOU Trump signed said Iran would control passage through the strait. Then Rubio – who thinks he’s smart – said “hey, let’s arm-twist Oman into allowing passage through their side of the Strait”. The US tried to shepherd a couple ships through the Omani side, when Iran said “hold on thar, Babalouey. Your MOU said Iran was in charge of the Strait.” So they shot at a couple ships. It’s to be expected.

FDR was in a chair and this is how they managed it:

“The “Gentleman’s Agreement” with the Press: The White House had a strict understanding with news photographers. They were forbidden from taking photos of FDR looking helpless, being carried, or using his wheelchair. If an uncooperative photographer tried to snap a picture, Secret Service agents would step in and confiscate the film. Out of over 40,000 official photographs of FDR, only a tiny handful show him in his wheelchair.”

is so consumed with shaping our perceptions with his deceptions…
that none is left to grapple with reality.

Makes sense. He only rarely commits candor – probably when he’s exhausted from deceiving.

Now we also are facing alleged chemical weapons, thanks to Mr. Netanyahu’s unimpeachable reports. We are getting more cassus belli piled up here, than Carter has little pills.

True or not, it seems perfectly calculated to get ADHD Trump riled up and even more rash. This could result in a big enough strike to change the whole complexion of this conflict (not that the complexion is very clear anyway). The more childish heads of state seem susceptible to this (such as George W. Bush, in 2002, on Saddam Hussein: “After all, this is the guy who tried to kill my dad ….”). I think Trump is a guy who can be played, in certain directions, like a cheap violin.

The Trumprael ecosystem reeks of constant projecting so if there is indeed a threat to Trump it’s not probably coming from Iran but a nearby neighbor with the intelligence resources, sympathetic installed informants, zealots, agents, and a history of nefarious plots for one sole purpose. I’ll leave it to the readers to figure out who that might be.

Do worry, Trump, Walrus and the GOP will find a way to make things even worse.™

I hope that he does not get hit because that would make him a martyr, and that is the last thing we need. Better if he just fades away & looses influence, and then his cult will do the same.

Assuming that this is not sarcasm, the last time Iran attacked another country was in the 1790s, when it was still called “Persia”.

Contrast with the peaceloving United States over that time period.

Maybe I need to get out more but…

Is there a chance that Israel will pull a false flag assassination of Trump to incite the Americans to get boots on the ground? It’s essentially the same story as Pearl Harbor, the USS Maine, etc. I’m not a big fan of these conspiracy theories but these are psychotic times.

Meanwhile, I think Iran and many other countries have an interest in Trump’s extermination. This isn’t new. It could be Trump making shit up for martyrdom sake.

Whatever the case, it’s nothing new and most likely a move to garner support for extermination Iran much like Palestine in the name of Israel.

Possible. However, I doubt that the nation would fully fall in line with the war party.

The problem is J.D. Vance may not be as easily manipulated as Trump.

Still, Israel may be betting that a President Vance will have no choice.

Money got his trump-hating nose buried betwixt the presidential butt cheeks, it should be fine to get him to do anything else.

Vance is easy. That’s why he was put in place.

Nobody has ever conspired. I don’t know why there’s even a word “conspire”. USS Liberty? Total accident. Mistaken identity. Apollo Affair? Nothing to see here.

I enjoy reading your comments and always look for them when I scroll through the comments sections. But you are wasting your time and cluttering the comments section responding to this troll. Have you ever used the Hide feature underneath a comment to hide all comments from that person? Try it sometime. Great feature. if you can’t see the troll’s bait, you can’t take the bait and then respond.

Never argue with idiots. They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience. And never try to wrestle with a pig in the mud. You’ll just end up dirty and frustrated. Save your insightful responses for the people who are not trolls. 😉

Given that we’ve demonstrated a “Kill ’em all” foreign policy here, it’s only logical to assume a “Kill us BACK” is in play. However, do I believe it is a credible threat to the President? Uhhhhh, very “convenient” intelligence agency reporting from a country with numerous dogs in the fight wanting MORE fighting. .

There’s a lot of countries who have wanted this guy dead for a decade. I think the credible threat was already there.

But the switching planes would support that this is a new credible threat. Anybody who’s got one functioning brain cell knows that a dark blue plane is not well camouflaged and makes a nice target. It only requires a single brain cell…

What? And the white and powder blue paint schemes on the VC-25A’s are…what? Going to blend in with the sky and fool an IR missile?

It could be that the Qatar jet does not have LAIRCM installed on it. I can’t imagine why they would start using the jet without it, but then again, with this president, image is everything.

That Qatar jet will likely be decommissioned by the next presidential administration.

It is curious to me that if Iran is so dangerous why they haven’t loaded an 18-wheeler full of explosive drones or two or three and set them loose on US nuclear plants, oil infrastructure (Texas/Louisiana), and utility plants. This would be far easier than a 9/11 hijack and cause 10x more damage to US economy and fuel disruption.

Just a few refineries produce a ton of fuel in the US, if those go out of commission the US economy is crippled. The same for electric power plants. Heck just blowing up transmission lines would do the job.

The blueprint is already there from what Zelensky did in Russia. Strange that something like that hasn’t happened yet.

Right after 9/11 I reckoned the bad guys could ride right up the highway with a couple trucks from nearby Mexico along the beach here to this base and, with a few explosives and automatic rifles, park near the base and assemble a nuke bomb, and take out this whole corner of the Pacific Fleet. But it turns out, apparently, the threat from cave guys in Afghanistan was grossly exaggerated. Now maybe drones could do the job much more efficiently.

> I have spoken about a Drone attack here before, and how utterly devastating it would be. Of course a lot of things as well as Utility Plants as you point out as well.would wreak havoc and quickly.

>> The U.S. has been so spoiled, and much earned but not necessary to gloat openly by purchases as an example. Others want to take it, in any way possible, as deserved due to opulence. It’s an even worse look from those in Power & Control.

– Just a few refineries produce a ton of fuel in the US, if those go out of commission the US economy is crippled. > Yet the SPR is being drained to hand out for more opulence to be had.

>>> We have a hard time when power goes out. They’re gettin calls within hours or sooner When! My shows dominion! I need to charge my phone!! Not even no food, but not having the right food can be a game changer to the negative and fast. Imagine a regular fast food diet person, with only veggies available to eat. Drop much weight, and gain much attitude…
