In a game of tit for tat, Israel strikes back at Iran for Iran’s missile launch against Israel. Iran’s attack on Israel was in response for Israel illegally striking an Iranian embassy in Syria.
Israeli Missiles Hit Site in Iran
The NPR reports Israel launches missile strikes into Iran in response to Tehran’s attack Sunday
Reuters reports Israeli Missiles Hit Site in Iran.
Israeli missiles have hit a site in Iran, ABC News reported late on Thursday, citing a U.S. official, while Iranian state media reported an explosion in the center of the country, days after Iran launched a retaliatory drone strike on Israel.
Iran’s Fars news agency said an explosion was heard at an airport in the central city of Isfahan but the cause was not immediately known. Iran suspended flights over the cities of Isfahan, Shiraz and Tehran, state media reported.
Several Iranian nuclear sites are located in Isfahan province, including Natanz, centerpiece of Iran’s uranium enrichment program.
Some Emirates and Flydubai flights that were flying over Iran early on Friday made sudden sharp turns away from the airspace, according to flight paths shown on tracking website Flightradar24.
Israeli Missile Hits Iran, U.S. Officials Confirm
CBS reports Israeli Missile Hits Iran, U.S. Officials Confirm
Two U.S. officials confirm to CBS News that an Israeli missile has hit Iran. The strike follows last weekend’s retaliatory drone and missile attack against Israel, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had vowed to respond to.
Officials were tightlipped about the location or extent of the Israeli strike. When reached by CBS News, the Israeli Defense Forces had no comment on the attack.
Iran last weekend launched an unprecedented retaliatory strike against Israel in response to a deadly attack on an Iranian consulate in Syria, which killed seven officers, including two generals, from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Iran’s attack on Israel included 170 drones, over 30 cruise missiles and 120 ballistic missiles, according to the IDF and U.S. officials. None of the drones crossed into Israeli territory before they were shot down by Israel and its allies, including the U.S., the IDF said.
Five of the ballistic missiles struck Israel, with four of them hitting Israel’s Nevatim Air Base, where Israeli F-35s are based, U.S. officials told CBS News. The officials believe the base was likely Iran’s primary target, as the strike against the consulate in Syria is believed to have been carried out by an F-35.
The U.S. and other allies of Israel have urged Netanyahu to exercise restraint in any possible response to Iran. U.S. officials have said the country would not participate in any Israeli retaliatory strike.
In the aftermath of Iran’s attack, which the IDF said caused “very little damage,” President Biden pressed the Israeli prime minister, “to think about what that success says all by itself to the rest of the region,” according to National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby.
Israel does not give a damn about Biden’s red lines because history shows Biden does not really have any.
Iran Warns of Immediate Retaliation
CNN reports Iran’s military response will be ‘immediate and at a maximum level’ if Israel attacks
Iran’s response if Israel takes any further military action against it would be “immediate and at a maximum level,” Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian told CNN Thursday, as fears rise of an escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.
“In case the Israeli regime embarks on adventurism again and takes action against the interests of Iran, the next response from us will be immediate and at a maximum level,” Amir-Abdollahian told CNN’s Erin Burnett in an exclusive interview in New York.
Are Biden’s Red Lines to Netanyahu Really Yellow or Green?
On March 10, I asked Are Biden’s Red Lines to Netanyahu Really Yellow or Green?
The answer, in case you have not been following the recent news, is green.
Iran Attacks Israel with Drones. What Happened?
Also see Iran Attacks Israel with Drones. Supposedly It’s Over Already. What Happened?
What happened is Netanyahu has repeatedly crossed Biden’s red lines.
That turned the screws enough to push more money for everyone through Congress, just what Netanyahu wanted.
Mission accomplished.
Crossing Red Lines
Biden told Israel to not retaliate, Israel did anyway.
Biden drew a red line on Israel entering Gaza to attack Rafah where more than a million Palestinians are sheltering. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would do so anyway.
A few hours ago the BBC reported US again warns against Rafah offensive
Biden may as well be barking at the moon because it isn’t purple.
Does it even matter anymore who did what first?
As of 10:00 PM Mountain Time, WTIC oil is $84.85 up about 2,5 percent.
Brent crude is also up about 2.5 percent to $89.28.Both were up over 3.5 percent when the strike first happened.
The major stick market indexes are down less than a percent, I don’t pretend to know what tomorrow will bring.

where s DavidC unt modda fokka , wanna talk to him …

Israel looks like the aggressor again. You have to try pretty hard to look that way against Iran.

An ultra-conservative political group in Iran said slain IRGC commander Mohammad Reza Zahedi was involved in the planning and execution of Hamas’s deadly October 7 attack against Israel.
It is the clearest admission of Iran’s involvement in the atrocities which saw 1,200 mostly civilians murdered and over 250 taken hostage, since terror group Hamas invaded Israel on October 7.
Zahedi, along with his deputy and five other IRGC forces, were killed Monday in an Israeli airstrike against Iran’s consulate building in the Syrian capital Damascus.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Coalition Council of Islamic Revolution Forces (also known by its Persian acronym SHANA) hailed Zahedi’s “strategic role in forming and strengthening the resistance front as well as in planning and executing the Al-Aqsa Storm.”
“Axis of resistance” or “resistance front” are the terms coined and employed by the Iranian authorities to refer to Tehran’s proxies in the region, such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Hashd al-Shaabi and Yemeni Houthis.
Iran has time and again denied its involvement in the incident, saying Hamas and other Tehran-backed armed groups in the region make their own decisions and act independently.
However, the Iranian regime swiftly praised the October 7 attack and orchestrated street celebrations, with large banners hung within hours. Some view this as a potential indication that Tehran had prior knowledge of the operation, a claim reported by the WSJ.
How dare they defend themselves!

Interesting how they sent drones to cities with nuclear reactors. Isreal is such a nice country. When they aren’t murdering and starving Palestinians, they are treating to spread radioactive waste across Iranian cities. Real humanitarians!
Oil and stock markets went wild over night, but have settled back to yesterday’s close. Given the waterfall building in stocks, I’m not surprised by the wild swing because there were some wave 4’s and 5’s starting to pair with the wave 1’s and 2’s waterfalls. I expect some more large swings in a sideways consolidation over the next 2 weeks. This is a trading market.
If the US really wanted to hurt Russia, China, and Iran, it would seek to make it more expensive for China to buy Russian and Iranian oil.
Or pull all the stops to increase oil production to push prices down for everyone.
Push them to a point where Russia and Iran can no longer afford to dump money into harassing civilians.
Maybe send a bribe or security guarantee of a few billion dollars to get Venezuelan oil back online.
Not a pretty solution, but cheaper and more effective to cut out their economic legs than throw billions of weapons at them.
With lower energy revenues, Iran and Russia won’t exist for long.
An objective blogger does not begin with a quote from NPR, and follow it up with a quote from CNN. A credible blogger doesn’t even watch such disreputable sources, much less quote them.
I thought Willie Nelson stopped smoking pot?
Mission Accomplished and the “reasons” are not applicable as usual: MILITARY SPENDING is the goal, on all sides. Hatred matters not. Sure, there is EMOTION, but no REASON.
Reason is alive and well for Raytheon, et. al.
Oil bumped up and now back down. No follow through.
Israel attacked a military annex on the embassy grounds killing IRGC Al Quds officers not the embassy itself. A military object with no diplomatic status. In 92 Hezbollah blew up the Israel Embassy in Buenos Aires killing 27 and in 94 used a bomb laden van to blow up the AMIA building with 85 dead and 300 injured also in Buenos. If Iran set up bomb and missile factories on its embassy grounds are they protected diplomatically too. Of course not.
The spending bills for Ukraine and Israel will pass with no problem.
…your Boss can afford it, for the time being anyway, it is only a matter of printing some intrinsically worthless, chimera Dollars….Iran sent its obsolete stuff worth 100K into Israel , the latter spending a fckn billion to get it out of the air ….and even then, although never admitted , some important targets got struck ….A win win for Iran in ALL aspects …..
I know that would be a great disappointment for you to see your favorite country defeated in a war they started but life goes on. Pull yourself together and look ahead.
It looks like Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries have fake “red lines” when it comes to Gaza and Iran. They say in public that they don’t countenance Israel’s actions but in private they say go for it.
Like I said before , you definitely got privileged info available , havent you ?
I do know that Russia will be defeated. How is that for you?
Maybe , NOT in our lifetime though !
According to the latest reporting, engagement is all done. Time to deescalate. Iran says no intention to respond further. Israel, enjoy your Passover holiday. [lol]
It seems Israel also tried to attack nuclear facilities in Iran.
https://sonar21.com/shift-in-israels-narrative-on-irans-14-april-missile-attack-signaled-israels-attempt-to-strike-iranian-nuclear-facility/
It didn’t “try”. It showed that it COULD breech Iranian air defense with simple drones, whenever it wanted to and that it COULD hit the Iranian nuke plant if wanted, were it to send in stealth F-35’s or cruise missiles.
I don’t know how many times I have to correct misstatements like the above but Israel DID NOT strike Iran’s Embassy. It struck a consulate annex building, which does not enjoy the same diplomatic protections as an embassy.
Liar ^
The fact that it does not enjoy the same diplomatic protections does not make Israel’s action legal
And it does not make it illegal either. Iran is officially at war with Israel. That makes the embassy/consulate/annex/whatever a legitimate target especially as those killed were military members.
That being said I don’t think that attack nor the current attack were wise decisions as Israel needs to concentrate in taking down Hamas.
Does the logic apply to Israel too? Meaning Iran is free to attack Israel’s consulates or land anywhere? I ask because I certainly heard a global howl when Iran retaliated last weekend…. If you’re going to “logic” your way into defending Israel’s actions, make sure you’re willing to apply the same logic to everyone else’s actions.
And you’re “logicing” your way into defending the Iran, the most repressive regime in the Middle East, organizer of terror around the world, killer of young Kurdish women not wearing their veil tightly enough.
yes, it was actually a military building, that has no reason to exist there…
do you mean to imply that the annex building was not a protected space and NOT considered Iranian territory rather than Syrian?
By international law it was not the embassy but an annex and is therefore Syrian territory and not Iranian so it was fair game.
Fair game? Israel is at war with Syria now?
If they’re organizing or aiding attacks on other countries, yes.
Syria has never signed a peace treaty with Israel unlike Egypt and Jordan so they are officially still at war.
Syria never attacked Israel in recent decades, Israel on the other hand ….for a neo (espèce de) con warmonger it all makes sense of course,… and you are not supposed to bite the hand that feeds you, we all know that…
A consulate has the same diplomatic protections as an embassy.
But does that diplomatic protection apply when both Iran and Syria declared war decades ago on Israel?
When did Syria declare war on Israel?
“Death to America” sure sounds peaceful.
Another matter not discussed: Iran admitted playing a role in planning and organizing the October 7th pogrom by Hamas. The strike by Israel killed one of the Iranian planners of that atrocity.
Israel is like the mouthy girlfriend with a large boyfriend. Always dragging the boyfriend into a fight the boyfriend doesn’t want but is forced to protect his lady.
Funny analogy! [lol]
Biden also told Iran “DON’T”. They also ignored his red line and DID resulting in Israelis action Friday.
apparently no one listen to dementia joe
To me, it appears that ISrael did what Iran did….send a useless attack that was never meant to seriously damage anything to send a message that they aren’t going to sit back and take attacks.
If Iran attacks, so will Israel in like kind. Iran sent a useless attack knowing full well that Israel would see it as weak. This was to save face just as Israel’s attack was to save face.
The question is now: “What will Iran do now to save face?”
How far will this tit for tat go?
yea, pretty good description, this can go on for a couple of years unfortunately
Years? Try centuries
Iran’s attack was intended to do serious damage. They just didn’t know it would be defended so well.
Most analysts disagree. But we’re happy to hear your evidence for what you believe were Iran’s true intentions.
It was not intended to do serious damage. IT was very weak sending very slow drones that Israel could easily defend against.
Iran is very much aware of Israel’s defense capability and knew exactly what would happen to it.
Iran is the most powerful force in the ME and they have a very capable military force that rivals Israels. If they wished to do serious harm, they could have, just like Israel could have done serious harm.
These attacks are honor saving for the leadership, nothing more.
As if you expect them to sit by and accept an attack from pure evil? Biden/Obama are pure fools and a form of evil themselves.
