The French President and the German Chancellor both suffered record defeats in the European Parliament election. Macron calls a surprise parliamentary election after defeat.
Surprise, Surprise, Surprise
I called the record defeat of French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and the demise of the Greens, So did others.
I don’t believe anyone called for snap French elections.
Winners and Losers
Winners: The Far Right
Losers: Renew Europe (Macron), and the Greens.

Marine Le Pen Set for Record Win
Bloomberg has this live update on the elections.
- Macron calls a surprise parliamentary election after defeat
- Center-right EPP on track to remain as the EU’s biggest party
- Far right make gains, while support for Greens falters
- German chancellor set for record defeat, poll shows
- Le Pen beating Macron by 17 points, French exit poll shows
The only surprise in that set is point number one.
“The rise of nationalists, of demagogues, is a danger for our nation, but also for our Europe, for France’s place in Europe and the world,” said Marcon in a televised announcement.
In Germany …
A senior AfD official said in a panel on German TV that his party will reach out to Le Pen on Monday to try and restore ties with her group, Identity and Democracy.
The AfD was expelled from ID after their lead candidate for the EU vote — Maximilian Krah — said in an interview with an Italian newspaper that not all members of the Nazi SS paramilitary organization were criminals.
The party is set to hold 16 seats in the new EU parliament, so that would provide a boost for ID and offer a signal that the far-right groups are able to put their differences aside and act together.
Marine Le Pen would be wise to turn this down.
Yet, look at the result, Nazi sympathizers in Germany managed to get 16 seats.
Too Radical Is Too Radical
It’s looking like a good night for far-right parties in lots of countries, even if they will most likely fall short of a dramatic breakthrough. But one of the more established far-right groups is having a bad night.
The Finns Party, a junior member of the ruling coalition in Helsinki, is set to halve its backing to just under 8%, a result party leader and Finance Minister Riikka Purra called “extremely poor.” With more than 90% of ballots already counted, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo’s center-right National Coalition is headed for victory.
[Too radical is too radical except in Germany and Bulgaria where…]
A party that wants Bulgaria out of NATO won 15% of the vote, almost six times more than it had when the current [Bulgarian] political crisis began.
Existential Fight and an Act of Trust
Here’s my hoot of the day: Macron presented the election as an existential fight for the continent and pivotal for Ukraine’s battle against Vladimir Putin.
French President Emmanuel Macron called a snap legislative election after the far right pummeled mainstream parties in France as well as Germany in a European Parliament vote.
“The president can’t remain deaf to the message sent by the French people,” Jordan Bardella, the head of the National Rally, told supporters after the results were announced. “We solemnly ask him to take note of this new political situation, to come back to the French people and organize new legislative elections.”
The first round will be held on June 30, with a second round on July 7, Macron said in a televised address.
“This is a serious and weighty decision, but above all it is an act of trust,” Macron said. “Confidence in you, my dear compatriots, in the ability of the French people to make the right choice for themselves.”
Act of Trust or Act of Desperation?
Macron called for French parliament elections only, not presidential elections.
But if he gets blown out in the Parliamentary elections he will have zero chance of doing anything.
Hmm. Is this a desperate act to pin the blame on Parliament for whatever happens next? Macron himself cannot run again so why not?
As expected in this corner, it appears Current European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will stay in power.
However, her primary agenda will shift away from Green silliness to a focus on China.
For a look at how I called this in advance, please see European Parliament Election Update and the “Anything to Stay in Power” Play
Meanwhile, Back in the States
Does the “anything to stay in power play” sound vaguely familiar?
Biden is flouting the Supreme Court again on student aid, making promises that are not his to make on housing down payments, was involved in a kangaroo court to convict Trump, and is shielding Hunter Biden as much as he can.
Despite Trump being convicted and Biden calling him a felon, Trump is still ahead in the polls.
Regarding student debt, please see Student Debt Cancellation Is Extremely Unfair. Here Are 10 Reasons Why.
Regarding the sham trial, please see Trump Found Guilty – a Travesty of Justice for America
Trump was found guilty of a crime, but can anyone say what it is? Prosecutorial misconduct is dripping. It’s the judge, not Trump who belongs in prison.
I expect the conviction to be overturned.

Mish, it doesn’t help your analysis when you refer to these parties as “far right.” I was in El Salvador in the early ‘80s, and can tell you from experience then and there and experience in the EU now that there is very little “far right” in the AfD or RN. As for Nazi sympathizers, there may be a few here and there, but there are many branded as sympathizers simply for discussing the Third Reich in proper historical context.
Europe made a slight course correction yesterday, but it is still heading full steam ahead towards the rocks.
Please see my previous post
I do not want to get into this nonsense every time I use the term.
https://mishtalk.com/politics/the-french-president-will-get-crushed-in-the-european-parliament-elections/
What Is the Far Right?
It is hard to say. In Poland it means support for Ukraine, except as applies to agricultural imports. Poland, Left and Right is hopping mad at grain imports from Ukraine hammering crop prices.
In France, Marine Le Pen has surged after dropping her plan to abandon the Euro. Nonetheless mainstream media still labels her Far Right because of her anti-immigration policies and because she does not support Ukraine.
El Pais has an interesting article in English, Marine Le Pen: ‘If Russia wins the war, it will be catastrophic… if Ukraine wins, it will mean WWIII has been unleashed’
In Italy, prime minister Giorgia Meloni is considered by many to be far right simply because of her anti-immigration stance.
I find it interesting that EuroNews labels Ursula von der Leyen “center right” despite the fact she currently wears a Green climate flag every day, figuratively speaking.
If she is center-right, it’s no wonder everything else looks far right. But it’s not just EuroNews with these labels. All US mainstream media likes to promote everything that isn’t Left as Far Right.
A Surge for the Far Right?
Yep, it’s coming, as labeled. But generally, only two things tie the Far Right together: immigration and anti-greenness.
Otherwise politics is local. So is Euroscepticism. Le Pen turned towards the center on that issue without going overboard like Meloni.
Mish — if you “don’t want to get into this nonsense” everytime you use the term “far right”, the half intelligent thing to do is STOP USING THE TERM.
You antagonize half your readership, and then whine that you achieved the expected outcome?
Plenty of us know you spent the bulk of your life working at a Chicago firm, and lets just say that Illinois, New York and California are abnormal places. Your idea of “middle of the road” is warped by where you spent much of your life.
Stop using the term, or continue to get called on your personal bias.
While I don’t entirely disagree with you, I think the overall issue isn’t the use of the terms, but the overall “common understanding” of the terms. The MSM by design, and those in power currently, desire it this way. To confuse is to create disagreement, and they already clearly know exactly what the non-confused wish for. They don’t want the confused to become aware and ask for what they have now become aware of what They Want IMO…
A very uneasy question to answer, unless you go with straight logic, and don’t pay attention to the Labels attached to these words.
I personally view them both as follows:
Far Right – Total Support for Conservative values, and views on Sovereignty and rule of Law. So in essence “Spend Wisely and Honestly” with your “Citizens Tax Dollars” Have a strong Military, and Make good laws that the “Citizens overwhelmingly agree upon”, or look at it as it deserves to be viewed. The Majority Won, so now you clearly understanding what they want, so “Give It to Them”
This only applies, and not loosely, to “Federal Issues” All other issues, that are known to be very different around the Country (Think the one shoe theory), are passed to the State and there State Constitution, where it belongs. This approach gives the Major Country Issues (Think Military, Free Speech, Sovereignty) to the Elected President of the Country for The Entire Country Laws that are required. This approach pushes States issues, which are vastly unique in many cases, all to the Individual States (intended imo). They equally elect the representatives they have, so it’s much more local where it belongs. If you don’t like your State, then you can move to another one, that more fits your values and beliefs, but you don’t have to give up Citizenship and/or move from your Country.
Freedom!
In France:
Marine Le Pen has a plan to abandon the Euro. > I Agree
Marine Le Pen: ‘If Russia wins the war, it will be catastrophic… if Ukraine wins, it will mean WWIII has been unleashed’ > I Agree
Giorgia Meloni is considered by many to be far right simply because of her anti-immigration stance. > Conservative imo
Ursula von der Leyen wears a Green climate flag every day, > Left imo
– All US mainstream media likes to promote everything that isn’t Left as Far Right. > I Agree! I think perhaps overall, the Left Leaders are a majority Far Left, so they brand anything and everything that isn’t Far Left, as Far Right including Liberals and simple Left Leaning as well.
– A Surge for the Far Right? > I hope, or at least in my version or close to it.
I’ll believe Europe has swung to the “Far Right” when we see Right-wing Death Squads rounding up the cultural enrichers who are in the process of turning Western Europe into hell. Until then, it’s all Leftist and cowards.
Markets do not like uncertainty, particularly political uncertainty. I expect some volatility and some downward bias, and I expect to take advantage of it. Looking forward to trading markets this week.
Voting in France: Paper ballots, in person, hand-counted
NO MAIL-IN VOTING, RARE MACHINE-VOTING
Mail-in voting was banned in 1975 amid fears of potential fraud.
Machine-voting was allowed as an experiment starting in 2002, but the purchase of new machines has been frozen since 2008 due to security concerns. Only a few dozen towns still use them.

It’s not enough to overturn the conviction. Prosecutorial misconduct is the biggest threat to our democracy and must be punished.
Qualified immunity for DA and the like should be revoked by law. Yesterday. The only reason qualified immunity exists is due to self-dealing by lawyers.
AfD is not a Nazi party. Their aim is preventing the never-ending flow of these so called migrants entering Germany. If there was one “sympathizer” in the party, it doesn’t mean all members and voters are.
Euro elections have been always a challenge for PS (Finns Party) and this round was no surprise as such. Only 42,4% of voters casted their ballots.
On top of that, PS has followed the PM party that is cutting benefits, raising taxes and doing much of the things that were against the promises PS made before last parliamentary elections.
There are many disappointed voters since our economy is faltering and necessary structural reforms just keep waiting someone to act accordingly. Maybe IMF in the future.
Personally I was very disappointed the Left taking such a percentage of the votes. I suppose this has something to do with the fact that more than half of families are on some sort of benefits even working.
Finland is going to be the Venezuela of the Nordic countries very soon. No growth in a decade or more when at the same time Sweden has made over 30% growth.
Hard times coming.
“No growth in a decade or more when at the same time Sweden has made over 30% growth.”
“Growth” of what?
The Swedes have a bigger “Hollywood.” Which matters, a lot, when all (mindlessly made up) “growth” is due to blind hype.
Beyond that: The foundation underpinning “Nordiwood”: Those once-vaunted,world beating Swedish industrial institutions, have hemorrhaged like little else over the past few decades. With precious little filling in to take their place. Just as is the case in that other Hollywood country, it just takes awhile for the average Huh?!!! to catch on….
But yeah: In an era where all supposed-to-be-“growth” stems from little more than gullible, starry eyed dupe-groupies on unlimited central bank welfare “inveeesting” in stuff they will never understand: You were always going to have a hard time competing with Max Martin and Avicii, when all you had was the Leningrad Cowboys…. But, like all things Sweden: Avicii is dead (along with increasingly all their HipHop acts…). Max Martin, like seemingly everything else truly big out of there, left for a bigger Hollywood. While,OTOH: Karusmaki is still around, and still the best thing to come out of that part of the world, since Bergman.
Well, yes. The growth can be measured in many ways sure but the truth is that Finland is heading towards insolvency at some point.
It’s Kaurismäki btw. Another champagne communist sipping wine in his estate living mostly in Portugal nowadays. He started his career mostly funded by Finnish state grants and told in one of his interviews how rich people should all be killed. Would that include himself also?
Finland – 5,56 million people – is nowadays in such state that most people are living mostly or partly on some sort of benefits. We have 500K people working and simultaneously collecting housing benefits. 2 million people are supposedly working paying for the other 3,5 million to exist. We have world record in the tax levels but still the country is getting deeper and deeper into the debt. Just try to book a time to a public sector doctor and it might take several weeks to be examined and months to get a specialist look into your case – in case you are alive at that point. And high taxes are supposed to grant us “free healthcare” but ever increasing “office fees” and such do not free healthcare maketh. I was in hospital couple of years ago and without my family paying the hospital “care fees” I would have had trouble of buying groceries.
Due to these and other factors people that can afford it turn to private healthcare more and more. Either in Finland or abroad.
Everything is failing here and I am considering leaving. I used to live outside Finland for more than a decade. In case I leave, I’m not coming back.
“Finland – 5,56 million people – is nowadays in such state that most people are living mostly or partly on some sort of benefits.”
“Everything is failing here and I am considering leaving.”
Welcome to The once-was West….. Exactly what you refer to, is all that is left of any of it, 50 years after ’71. Finland not being any which way out-of-the-ordinary. Chances are, Pekka Sixpack(ofVodka…) at least isn’t too much straight-up worse off today than he was in 1970. Which means he’s trending one heck of a lot better than Joe Sixpack over here.
As for the political and economic delusions of talented artists, it’s pretty much universal. Just try forcing yourself through anything Ayn Rand ever wrote, and you’ll quickly realize artistic talent and economic literacy must be darned near diametric opposites. The only profession whose participants appear to benefit even more that creative artists from being complete economic illiterates, has got to be politician….
There is a proven recipe in Europe to demonstrate that the hard right is just a bunch of incompetent fools: let them govern (Maloni and Orban are exceptions from this rule). Macron is using the recipe to good effect. The NF will most likely win but show it has no ability to govern, especially with Macron calling the shots. And that means Le Pen will go nowhere come the next presidential election.
This will have no consequences, it will be the same, since we have already had, and for decades until now, incompetent fools with no ability to govern.
Incompetent little Napoleons.
“…it will be the same, since we have already had, and for decades until now, incompetent fools with no ability to govern.”
And yet “we” keep doing exactly the same thing; always expecting a different result…
Looks like Biden caving to Saudi like the US always does. Maybe we will get lower oil prices bc of this. Feels to me like Biden is willing to sacrifice the left wing and move to the center while he can. He’s probably realizing letting the left wing run the party and policy hasn’t done much for his reelection chances.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/us-to-offer-landmark-defense-treaty-to-saudi-arabia-in-effort-to-spur-israel-normalization-deal/ar-BB1nUbBZ
Watching the European elections was probably eye opening as well. I don’t think it’s coincidental that the Saudi deal is happening on the heels of loss of power by multiple European countries sitting in office watching their party lose elections.
Just like Trump is the “Threat”.
Maybe the average Pierre doesn’t want war, contra Macron.
This story of France’s war against Russia is grotesque. This is only a diversion attempt by those in power to cover up the deplorable state of the country in all areas. Any French armed force in Ukraine would be doomed to total and rapid annihilation.
Napoleon Macron should have his hands full defending France form invasion, but noo he wants to put Russia in her place.
I think the right comparison is not of Macron with the great Napoleon, but with the little one, Napoleon III, emperor between 1848 and 1871. He led a stupid war in Mexico (1862-1867), trying to impose an “emperor” in this country. He wasted valuable troops in this stupid war, troops that were lacking in the 1870 war against Germany, which he lost. .
That would be right, but I also remember Napoleon Bonaparte sending troops to Haiti, then after failure, selling Louisiana territory to USA. Arguably, this is the greater stupidity on par with the Russian campaign.
Why does the Judge belong in jail? Everything he did is within the limits of the law. He may get overturned but he does not belong in Jail. Maybe you don’t believe in our legal system.
He is clearly a partisan hack, I suggest appointed illegally instead of selected at random, who purposely, knowingly, and obviously went out of his with with instructions he had to know were wrong to get a political conviction.
Other than that he was amazing.
By the way, I am sure you can find some Republican judges I would say similar things about.
Remember James Comey telling us that “No reasonable prosecutor” would bring charges against Hillary. So of the course, the answer for lawfare was to use unreasonable or sophistic prosecutors and judges to do their bidding. Kangaroo, Star Chamber, kabuki theater.
The instructions were not clearly in error. The jurors did not have to agree on “the means” or how the law was violated, just agree that it was violated. I’m not a lawyer, or a judge, so I’m basing my comment on third parties.
Prosecutorial misconduct is a threat to our democracy that needs to be dealt with very very sternly. Jail time at a minimum.
Agreed Bayleaf. The problem is calling these people to account; holding them responsible. If they’re never called out and prosecuted, then the problems continue.
That is why I think that Trump will be JFK’ed by the Deep State. He has already declared that when he becomes President he’s going to clean house in the CIA, the NSA, and others.
“Far right”. Heh.
That was my feeling as well. Macron isn’t a Centreist, he is a leftist. Le Pen isn’t Far Right she is near the centre. Most so called right wing parties today would be regarded as socialists by the norms of 150 years ago what with all the free shit that is regarded by most even on the conservative side as acceptable such as government[taxpayer] money for public hospitals, pensions, housing, education etc. True right wing people would support slashing all that (and they are all freebies that attract the illegals) and going to a small government self reliant society where you save for a rainy day, provide for the less fortunate in your extended family and friends network and people choose how much charity to give to the deserving less fortunate.
Fucking journos. They all parrot these appended terms
“far” right
“full-scale, unprovoked”
“false” accusation (of prosecutorial lawfare or 2020 election irregularities)
Mish, are you sure the Trump loss will be over-turned? WHO would do it? Even his own PARTY is not backing him.
The Liberals are still in firm control and the Globalists are in it for the long run win as the MONEY and CONTROL make them drunk as all hell!
We’re broke, the French are broke, and the voters know it.
Only hope is waves of deflation.
I pray the EU nanny state goes the way of the Berlin wall.
There will never be deflation with fiat currency, the debt will simply be inflated away. This is why you must own real assets, like housing.
Housing should be a good long term proposition. But they can raise taxes, create new taxes, condemn the property, change the codes, limit your rights and allow squatters and deadbeats to take it and trash it while you still have to pay for outgoings.
Or they can just seize the properties with little or no compensation for eminent domain or land reform policies.
Pick up the book on Overcast aka Paperclip. Unite he Reich is putting the Nazis that the US and Russia fought over post WWII back together as an underground alliance between factions at various levels in the US and Russia.
Author – Annie Jacobsen
After reading you will always take any government statistic with a grain of salt or two.
I expect to see $180 barrel oil once the recession ends and before the social security crisis starts in 2028 or 29 starts. Humanity will do what we always do. Grow. Pollute and innovate. A self regulating system good to the elite and favored groups but to few specific individuals.
I will take the under on the oil price prediction.
Oil “can” go to $180, but it can’t stay there for long. Demand would get crushed because so many users would be unable to afford that price.
And substitution would skyrocket.
“Demand would get crushed because so many users would be unable to afford that price.”
In Asia, more and more “users” who can still thrive at that price, is coming online every day. Once even a small fraction of China’s “shift towards domestic consumption”; that the Pettis crowd keep preaching; comes about: Price to US buyers will indeed be the equivalent of $180 or more. “We” are; generously; only half as efficient users of oil here, compared to them. And the gap is only ever widening. “They” can be profitable at 2x+ what “we” can. And can hence afford to bid accordingly. Nothing of that magnitde changes entirely overnight; but first slowly, then all at once is, OTOH, not at all an unlikely transitionary path. No doubt to be followed by ever more rounds of idiotic blame games…
As for “substitution”: That will consist of yet more from the now ubiquitous Peron playbook: Subsidies/vote-buying by squeezing what little is left to squeeze, even harder, in order to provide the loudest complaining junkies with just another fix. With entirely predictable results. Starstruck Evita groupies can always be relied upon to never know that it could be possible to even know any better.
Voting in France: Paper ballots, in person, hand-counted
PAPER BALLOTSVoters must be at least 18 years old. About 48.7 million French are registered on the electoral rolls of the place where they live.
Voters make their choices in a booth, with the curtains closed, then place their ballot in an envelope that is then put into a transparent ballot box. They must show photo identification and sign a document, next to their name, to complete the process.
Volunteers count the ballots one by one. Officials will then use state-run software to register and report results.
But legally only the paper counts. If a result is challenged, the paper ballots are recounted manually.

As it should be.
Please, do some research about a party (AFD) and it’s overall policies before labeling them.
Trump is a felon, comes to mind, if one only reads the headlines.
When looking deeper into the topic, one might discover the whole thing is nothing but political slander.
The free shit army is peeved. Paris done run out of other people’s money. France is up to its eyeballs in illegal African welfare leeches.
This is an exact description of the situation in France. The main culprits are the French themselves, especially the older ones, who have continued to elect and re-elect politicians who have gradually destroyed the country.
So how close exactly are the far right and the Libertarians?
The left will run another phony conservative to split the vote; they always do with the parliamentarian system so actual conservatives are never in control.
Now we will have elections late this month and early next while the Olympics are here and during summer holidays. It is funny to watch all the politicians scrambling to get a campaign going to save their seats. They have only a couple of weeks so there goes their vacation plans.
It was very much a surprise and everyone is wondering why did he do it when there was no need? My very preliminary view is that he is comfortable with having some members of the Right within his government. As they say, keep your friends close but your enemies closer. If that happens then it will be the first time LePen’s party has participated in a government ever and therefore the possibilities of showing incompetence are high and that would hurt them in the next presidential elections. It’s a long game move.
By the way, the French president by the French constitution has complete control over the military and foreign affairs and has much more power than an American president would have under the American constitution concerning these areas. De Gaulle who as a former general with much contempt for politicians set it up this way so parliament couldn’t get their grubby hands on the important stuff so there will be no change in the Ukraine policy.
Macron bets the house in election to break far-right momentum in France
After a humiliating defeat at the hands of Le Pen’s National Rally, France’s president is now making a high-risk roll of the dice.
JUNE 10, 2024 2:49 AM CET
BY CLEA CAULCUTT
PARIS — Jupiter will not be eclipsed. And certainly not by his nemesis: the face of the French far right, Marine Le Pen.
French President Emmanuel Macron is going for broke, calling for a snap election that is likely to deliver big wins for the far right. But it may also knock Le Pen off her stride as she eyes the bigger prize: the presidency in 2027.
That is the maverick gamble that the French president is making after the National Rally’s spectacular win on Sunday evening. The far-right, anti-migration party is projected to win the European election in France with 32 percent of the vote — more than twice that of the president’s centrist liberal party.

Macron bets big on snap election to fight far-right surge
“We’re ready to exercise power,” Marine Le Pen declares, after winning EU election in France.
JUNE 9, 2024 9:15 PM CET
BY GIORGIO LEALI, NICOLAS CAMUT AND EDDY WAX
PARIS — European elections are meant to be worthy but boring exercises in centrist coalition building. Not this time.
A surge in far-right populism in France provoked President Emmanuel Macron into calling a high-risk national election that could determine the future not only of his country but of the European Union itself.
Across the Continent it was a good if unspectacular night for center-right and far-right parties and a terrible one for liberals and especially greens.
But in France, the far-right National Rally, led by Euroskeptic and NATO-skeptic firebrands, completely crushed Macron’s liberal Renaissance and all other contenders.

“Now we will have elections late this month and early next while the Olympics are here and during summer holidays.”
Dude, you had me there for awhile….
The elections will be over before the Olympics. I still wouldn’t put it past the slimy Macronites to plan playing a “we can’t risk big changes so close to ‘our’ Olympics” card. I bet many would even be well indoctrinated enough to fall for it.
Elections will be mid Tour de France. Lots of people from all over Europe in France for that. And lots of widespread TV coverage.
So yes: A seriously idiotic time to hold a national election. Unless the goal is specifically to make meaningful debate; and voter information and engagement; as hard as possible….
I hope Macron and his war hawk ilk get kicked to the curb, they seem eager to rush headlong into WW3 over Ukraine
My wife grew up in Germany. She and her mom that was a teen during WW2. Have always said that if the US ever completely pulls out of Europe. Germany will go Nazi again. Yes, real Nazi versus what everyone here that’s blue likes to call Nazi. Like “Trump is a Nazi”. My wife gets angry at stupidity like that. Because it ignores the real dangers of the Possible rise of it in Europe again. I say we should close our bases and pull out of NATO. She always warns that we are the slight counterbalance. That keeps the insane Nazi’s from rising to power again.
The Nazi movement can really assert itself in any country — Germany just had a hyperinflationary depression in the 1920s-1930s that evaporated millions of German families’ assets. It can happen anywhere macroeconomics goes haywire and savings are lost.
For sure Germany needs a solution to the illegal immigrant question again.
Meanwhile I’m Staring at the US border wondering how long unlimited immigration without a bit of sanity can go on. Yes, we need immigrants… lots of them. But not an open border without a sane adult in charge.
Socialism and open borders are incompatible. One or the other must end.
Ford, Chrysler, Bell telephone were some of the US companies that supported the Nazis, some of them used slave labor in their German factories.
Infact, Henry got the highest award from A.H.
But you probably knew that.
Germany will go Nazi again. Really one of the most ridiculous statements I have heard. They have gone pacifist and in the complete opposite direction. If you know history you will realize what instigated the development of the NAZI party and why it won’t happen again. Seriously?
Macron is the French version of Hillary Clinton. He will be missed about as much as she has been.
You remember when she was convicted and went to jail for deliberately mishandling classified information on a private server, right?
Regime media bent over backwards to explain those serious felonies away as, “matters” on a “homebrew server” that just, “didn’t add up!”
Clearly Macron is NOT. He WON in BOTH of his Presidential Elections.
Hillary did NOT.
Trump Did NOT.
So pretending that either Hillary or Trump is even close to as competent as Macron is just silly.
The globalist/marxist playbook is always the same. Accuse your opponent of what you yourself have done. Smear nationalism. Smear patriotism. Smear individualism. Smear your own citizens as, “white, uneducated males” when they don’t vote for more of your authoritarianism and central planning. Smear everyone who isn’t an overt interventionist warmonger as an, “isolationist.” Smear anyone who calls for smaller government and balanced budgets. Smear anyone who wants term limits. Smear anyone who wants sound money and despises fiat. Smear anyone who wants to restrain government. Smear anyone who opposes endless ruinous proxy war. Call everyone an, “extremist,” “radical,” “far-right,” “racist,” “Patriarchy,” “Nazis, literally Hitler!” Accuse everyone you don’t like of having phantom conditions like, “privilege,” “whiteness,” or using “hate speech,” while manspreading or mansplaining. The left is evil.
Quit whining because the Angry Orange Mussolini Wannabe finally getting caught for the crap he’s been doing his entire corrupt life.
The Republicans had ONE JOB! Select a Competent Leader that didn’t have Trump’s Baggage and Corrupt Background. The just couldn’t get JOB ONE done.
As an Independent I am disgusted for our country because Neither Party can put forth a solid candidate who a majority of the population can get behind.
Term Limits, Campaign Finance Reform and a Reduction of Political Party Control of Debates is needed NOW!
LOL! Most of the Republican Party is Democrats in disguise. RINOs and Neocons control a majority of the party and constantly sabotage anything the Freedom Caucus, (actual conservatives), try to advance.
The real thing needed for debates is citizen participation, citizen journalism, and ZERO regime media moderators.
Amen on term limits. Balanced Budget Amendment as well.
David C — I am with you. Those two “Octo’s” are simply too old and drunk with a love for power and FREEBIES. Trump LOVED not having to pay for his own Jet Fuel when he whisked off for Fla.
