U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly granted a 14-day temporary restraining order, finding the news organizations are likely to succeed on their claim that their hard passes were revoked without constitutionally adequate due process.
The judge also rejected the administration’s national-security justification at this stage, writing that the record contains little factual support showing the credential revocations would protect national security.
Why Trump Will Be Happy
- The entire press pool cancelled coverage. Trump likes attention and it vanished.
- Trump likes to bitch. Although he will be relieved at the ruling, he will complain about it.

I have to say, objectively, why should we care? They can watch a monitor from the hall or the news room, the press does not have subpoena power. Did anyone notice when Obama pulled Fox news was blocked out from interviews? They don’t have to call on them for questions. This is a whole lot of nothing over precious ego’s. Trump was stupid to say he banned them because they did not like them. Either this was on purpose and he is an evil genius or he is a low IQ person (more likely).
I kind of get ya…. Why not just let them all feed off Newsmax, and let him grouch at their reporters. The other networks all play the same thing anyway, except Fox when they’re in “titties and outrage” mode.
The quiet was nice while it lasted

With his last breath, he will be the same person. Humility, which he will never have, would not make him more effective. This is all too big and tangled for that. He is beyond redemption, at least on this human plane of existence. The only place for him, is gone from any power whatsoever. He can have a podcast and rant for the rest of his days, if the prison guidelines allow it. But I hope they don’t.
I hope he ends up in the hell imagined by the hateful evangelicals that brought him to power.
A major complaint of Trumpists is being compared to Hitler. After all, Hitler’s regime would not have allowed these comments. But Hitler’s take-over of Germany was gradual, recieving less than 3% of the votes in 1928. Goebbels called the press the ‘lugenpresse’ the ‘lying press’ (fake newsers), and by Oct 1933, effectively, only state media remained. If Trump refuses the Judges 14 day ruling for an open press in the White House, the People’s House, America will be near a constitutional crises.
Why does anyone listen to Trump anyhow? All he does is lie, threaten, kill and scam people.

Simple trump does not want those reporters around who will give him bad press when he screws up the china meeting. Also any fallout from un meeting.
It’s more simple-minded. He just attacks anyone who doesn’t kiss up to him.
I have been begging Trump to STFU once in awhile, and let things play out, before ranting about something not even at the point of resolution.
This could be a good thing for Trump. Chill him out a bit. Maybe he will understand that ranting is not the way to find a solution. I have hopes that this turns out as a positive for Trump, and those that he speaks to. A change in his style would have a positive effect on things,I think anyway, but it cannot hurt his image anymore than he is doing at times with his behavior.
In his first term, he had all of his known failings. In the past year, he seems to have also become demented. Wishing he would shut up is like wishing a crazy person would stop being crazy.

FDT will be happy b/c he is a narcissist and this continues the conflict, chaos, and drama. The psychology is hard for normal people to understand but once you have been subjected to it long enough the patterns become clear. Worst thing you can do to a narc is walk away and not engage.

it is Trumps schtick
Yes. As a saying from the other side of the world goes – “Indifference is the cure for arrogance.”
But if you ignore him, he will engage other avenues and stunts. He will raise the stakes to get his demanded attention, which is without limit. Cut off one path, and he will deviously engage another, possibly more dangerous. I say this from close involvement with a clever, creative person in advancing cognitive decline.
In Trump’s case, such a tactic brings little relief, because he is constantly grabbing for every lever of this kind, he can come up with, regardless of circumstances. Any single blocking of him does not stop this broad process. There is no such thing as enough attention for this direly mentally ill person. He is desperate to become the center of the planet’s entire attention, regardless of any principles or outcomes. His pathology is so deep.
We don’t use the remedies the ancient Romans employed when the madness finally reached such extremes. We are still good people. We have principles, even if he doesn’t.
He is absolutely surrounded by kissasses. He’ll be fine.
