Former US Representative Tulsi Gabbard addresses CPAC 2024. She gave a great speech, 18 minutes long. Play it.
CPAC 2024
Opening Snips
“Hi. Thank you thank you so much. Aloha.
It’s wonderful to see you all here again at such a critical time. Our democracy is under attack. The perpetrator of this attack are those who in the name of saving our democracy are destroying it. I don’t use these words lightly every one of us who loves this country and who cherishes Peace and Freedom should be very alarmed by those who driven by their insatiable hunger for power are actively undermining all that we stand for and almost every single day.
If you’re paying attention to the news and the headlines there is some new assault and some new attack. Now it’s the Democrat Elite and the swamp creatures in Washington who are doing all that they possibly can to keep us the American people from a very simple thing having the freedom to choose we want to be our next president. And it is clear through their actions they have no respect for us and they have no respect for our rights as Citizens of this Democratic Republic.
They are so terrified that we may make what they think is the wrong choice that in the of protecting democracy and saving us from ourselves they’re actually destroying our democracy and taking away our freedom now.
We look throughout history and we can see many examples of evildoers who find some justification who believe that they are doing the right thing and so today we see the Democrat Elites say with great concern in their voice that if the American Donald Trump again they warn us he will destroy our democracy they say he will be the dictator and chief that if he’s elected it will be the last election this country sees. It is so crazy. It’s laughable, but they’re justifying their actions by telling themselves that they need to destroy our democracy in order to save it.
Powerful
You do not have to agree with what she said. Some won’t, many will.
But whether or not you agree, she delivered a powerful message, flawlessly.
It does not sound like she used a teleprompter.
What Does She Bring to the Table?
Amusingly, some question what she brings to the table. For starters, she is a woman, without all the baggage, arrogance, and lighting rod qualities of Hillary.
Tulsi delivered an electrifying speech. Women are over half of the voting population.
Trump Says Tulsi Gabbard Is on His VP Short List
During a Fox News town hall event in Greenville, South Carolina, host Laura Ingraham asked the former president about six potential running mates, including three of his erstwhile GOP primary rivals: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott.
She also cited Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) and former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate who left the party in 2022 after aligning herself increasingly with the political right.
“Are they all on your shortlist?” Ingraham asked.
“They are,” Trump said. “Honestly all of those people are good. They’re all good, they’re all solid.” He also singled out Scott, pointing out the senator in the audience, saying “a lot of people are talking about that gentleman right over there.”

For discussion, please see Trump Says Tulsi Gabbard Is on His VP Short List, Who Else?
What does Senator Tim Scott, also rumored to be on the short list, do for the ticket. Can he electrify any audience? Any constituency? Even blacks?
Blacks are about 14 percent of the population. A swing of several percent of blacks is far less important than a swing of even a half percent of women.
Worst Choices
The worst choices for Trump would be Kari Lake and Vivek Ramaswamy.
Lake cost Republicans the Arizona governorship. Fortunately, she was not mentioned on the short list.
Ramaswamy is a genuine nutcase who proposes a civics test, wants to bomb Mexico, build a wall on the border of Canada, and supports the draft. If Trump wants to alienate everyone 35 and younger and anyone with any degree of common sense, all he has to do is pick Ramaswamy.
I frequently hear people propose Ramaswamy is a Libertarian. Anyone supporting bombing Mexico, a war on drugs, and walling off Canada is not a Libertarian.
Independents, Women, and Moderates
This election is going to come down to how enthusiastically those three groups vote, and for whom.
Wikipedia notes Gabbard has generally supported legal abortion through the first 20 weeks of pregnancy, though her views on abortion have changed over time. That is a huge plus over the typical Republican Neandertal.
For more details, please see Wikipedia’s Political Opinions of Tulsi Gabbard.
She has switched opinions on a number of items, having even backed Bernie Sanders. The Republican base won’t like that, but so what?
Where is the base going besides nowhere? The base will not decide the next election.
The more Trump can distance himself from the base, the better his chances.
Gabbard would be an excellent pick who would genuinely bring some energy to the ticket beyond the base.

Neandertal? DidJa mean Neanderthal? Way to let the cat outta the bag.
I LOVE Tulsi cuzz she’s HOT and she surfs!!!!
The only way I’ll vote for anybody is if Tulsi is on the ticket. No more wars!
Her speech made me sick. The usual GOP disconnect from reality. Up is down, black is white etc. Changed her entire world view over night to buy into MAGA garbage. Can’t substantiate a single one of her claims. The party that attempted a violent overthrow of the government, had fake electors, continues to push baseless lies are defending our freedom, in what planet does that make sense. The inly idea the GOP has is ending democracy.
which claim? Like anti-war as an idea? I think that’s really easy to substantiate that, unless your name is Tom.
You need to dilate.
I don’t understand all the Tulsi hate. She’s clearly not a leftist anymore. People change. If we actually want to win in November we need to expand the base. Byron Donald’s and Kari Lake are great but neither do that. Tulsi does. Yall supported pence last time, I’d take Tulsi over pence everyday of the week. Sorry to say but we ain’t winning if the ticket is 100% Maga. Y’all have to see that. Tulsi can get us over the hump.
People change.
Was Trump once a Democrat? Reagan?
They don’t change this much overnight!
USA TODAY, August 4, 2016: “Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, one of Bernie Sanders’ top surrogates, says she’ll vote for Hillary Clinton in November.”
Axios.com, March 19, 2020: “Tulsi Gabbard suspends presidential campaign, endorses Biden”
USA TODAY, May 27, 2020: “Former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard withdrew her lawsuit against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in a Wednesday court filing, citing more pressing concerns like defeating President Donald Trump.”
ABC News, December 23, 2020: “I think impeachment, unfortunately, will only further embolden Donald Trump, increase his support and the likelihood that he’ll have a better shot at getting elected while also seeing the likelihood that the House will lose a lot of seats to Republicans.”
Trump supported Democrats out of necessity, he was building BUILDINGS in NYC.
yep
She was a Democrat in 2020 and should not be a heartbeat away from a GOP presidency. She would however make a great Secretary of State and would be far superior to Pompeo the Hutt.
She’s still a leftist.
She’s really not. I’d give you centrist maybe but she’s honestly more conservative than over half of the republicans in congress.
Notwithstanding that DeSantis and Trump both live in Florida, I think RdS is the likely best President in the group and thus should be VP
Gabbard would be a terrible choice. She was a democrat a short while ago and cant be trusted with that much power so quickly. Byron Donalds and Kari Lake seems to be the only names mentioned that can be trusted. My choice Byron Donalds. He hasnt been in congress long enough to be bought. He doesnt use political double speak very often and he speaks like he really believes in MAGA national populism. He is the best choice out of this list of names.
This is her voting record in congress. She is a leftist. Tulsi Gabbard – The New American
Look at her congressional voting record. She was one of the most liberal Democrats in Congress. Why are so many falling for her BS as she moves to become president after Trump? She is a leftist other than being anti-war. She is also a frog and monkey worshipping pagan who believes her grand parents are cows.
She is impressive and not part of the uniparty. Independents will love her on campaign trail. Debate against Harris, pay for. Front row seat. White towel flying writhing a few minutes. A person of color chosen because of ability not as a token.
Kari Lake cost the GOP the AZ governorship?? Are you freaking nuts, Mish? Her election was clearly STOLEN!! How is THAT her fault?
You are entitled to your beliefs
To be fair, Lake only lost because the McCainite RINOs worked over time and were willing to let DEMS win to ensure that a full blooded MAGA freedomite wouldn’t win. She faced the last vestige of RINO McCain in the state. But, the process exposed them and the Party is stronger for it now. Lake put up a much bigger fight than probably any other person could have. She should have a good shot at the Senate.
Trump could have and should have backed people who could win rather than people loyal to him.
I disagree with the sentiment that “Blacks are only 14% of the population and won’t have as much of an impact” In Wisconsin, where Trump only lost by 10000 or so votes, a shift in Milwaukee from 10% black to 20% of the black vote might be the difference in a tight race. Same in Pennsylvania with Philadelphia where supposedly there was a precinct with 100% Biden vote.
Lovely.
What would a shift of 1% of women do?
Fractions are hard, Mish and some people just can’t figure them out.
What you wrote is all well and true but think about the impact Tulsi would have down ballot nationally if she were the VP pick.
Aren’t most blacks convicted felons who aren’t allowed to vote anyway?
Donald Trump Tulsi Gabbard 2024
“Freedom loving Americans, Rep, Dem and Indep, unite to save our country, freedom, and republic.”
Tulsi Gabbard is the one prospective VP who could significantly help Donald Trump win.
In addition to being a woman, Tulsi Gabbard is a reserve army officer, former Dem, person of color (her father is Samoan), a calming presence and influence, and a Hindu disproving Dem lies that non-Christians should fear Donald Trump and Republicans.
Conservatives may have to accept that she and we disagree on some issues, but we agree on saving our country, freedom, and republic. (If you read her X feed, you’ll be hard pressed to find something you disagree with, so the differences may not be as great as some may fear. But, if I were Donald Trump, there are some policy questions I would ask her before nominating her.)
The primary downside to Tulsi Gabbard as VP is if something happens to Donald Trump, she will be president and our differences on some policies will be more important. However, our #1 task is to elect Donald Trump, which is necessary, although not sufficient to save our country, and the odds are against us. The Dem Party Industrial Complex and the Deep State (but then I repeat myself) will do everything possible, legal and illegal, to install a Dem president in 2025. We need every advantage possible to overcome them.
******************************
Donald Trump should also select his principal cabinet secretaries and other appointees so they can campaign as a team. This is especially important because corrupt, politicized, weaponized Dem Party persecutors and judges will have Donald Trump tied up in court for much of 2024 and may even have him in prison. Being Donald Trump’s selected Secretary of State, for example, will give that person added clout to campaign for Donald Trump.
If @TulsiGabbard is not VP, she would be an excellent choice for Secretary of State.
She is a total leftist on every topic but foreign wars. Why bring in a liberal pagan trojan horse?
Kari Lake easily won AZ.
Forensic computer scientist proved it, live on Lindeltv for all of us to see.
Stop the cheating. Fix 2020
All the stop the steal idiots Trump backed lost.
Trump cost republicans senate seats in AZ, GA, and PA. He cost republicans the AZ governor.
Trump’s biggest enemy is himself.
Covid relaxed rules on absentee ballots used effectively by Biden campaign.
Under more restrictive voting standards of 2016, much closer result. Would Trump of won – we will never know.
Not crazy to suggest election was “gamed.”
None of them lost.
It was stolen from them.
Anyone could see that.
Trumps enemy is fake news.
Blessings to all who read this.
She’s like RFK, Jr. She is fairly conservative on a very few things and wildly leftist on everything else. The only reason, I feel, that she left the Dem party is because she was spurned by them and threw a hissy fit. She should not be on any Republican ticket.
If Gabbard wants the gig she’d better put up a full site with her positions on ALL topics, because she has some old whoppers to deal with.
including:
In a statement following her vote, Gabbard said: “I am standing in the center and have decided to vote present.”
“I could not in good conscience vote against impeachment because I believe President Trump is guilty of wrongdoing,” she said.
Tulsi gabbard is a socialist who has done nothing for her own state. Sure, she defends free speech but that ain’t enough to let a socialist close to power. Btw: she didn’t vote against impeachment when she could have and she didn’t protest the lockdowns in Hawaii when she could have. So why is she so great???
that used to be a given for any politician now conservatives praise them for that ONE thing
1- Gabbard is on RFK’s short list. They both keep referring to “our democracy”, which we’re not. She does say “democratic republic” later in the speech. We are a constitutional republic, or just a republic. I bristle every time I hear lefties (Marxist tools except for the ones who are outright Marxists). I do like her, but her abortion views would have to evolve fully to be tolerated as Trump’s VP.
2-Lake cost the R’s the AZ governorship? What a ridiculous thing to say. Like blaming a woman for being raped. Do better.
3-Best picks are Stefanic and Donalds.
You got a like for #1 & #2 – don’t agree with #3 at all
Your abortion views would cost Trump the election! He’ himself has said that and it’s obvious.
If you want a FREE AMERICA, WOMEN need to be FREE TO CHOOSE to abort or to carry to term. President Trump may personally be 100% for life, but politically speaking, he understands 50% of the population supports FREEDOM OF CHOICE. You cannot pretend to support a free America and still hope to impose your will on others for a personal decision that affects THEIR LIVES, NOT YOURS. They believe 100% it’s a fetus and NOT a baby until it can live independently from the womb. You believe its a baby from the moment of conception.
In a free country, you cannot impose your beliefs upon someone else when their life is affected by the choice THEY make. That choice is not yours. Most people dislike the idea of abortion but they understand the choice is not theirs to make. It is the responsibility of a woman who finds herself pregnant, to avoid delaying her decision and decide whether or not to abort before too long a time period has elapsed. That period of time can be discussed and agreed upon to make the fewest number of people EQUALLY UNHAPPY. 3 to 4 months is reasonable with few individual exceptions. Aborting a fully formed baby that is capable of life outside the womb is NOT NECESSARY and OFFENSIVE TO MOST PEOPLE..
She has never disavowed her WEF ties. She is pro big government.
Vivek is a nutcase? I think not sir! The time for playing patty cake is over . We need fighters not
Milquetoasts! Vivek will not be VP, but not because you think he is a nut case.
I’ve come to admire Tulsi Gabbard. While she’s not as pro-life as I am, her opposition to foreign military adventurism certainly is a plus. Moreover, her stances against govt data collection and govt abuse of the 4th Amendment are laudable.
I will say that I view her move from Bernie Sanders supposter toward the right in just 10 yrs with some suspicion, but I have no way to disprove the genuineness of her shift in views.
In a statement following her vote, Gabbard said: “I am standing in the center and have decided to vote present.”
“I could not in good conscience vote against impeachment because I believe President Trump is guilty of wrongdoing,” she said.
Mish –
Man Oh man, your take on Vivek is awfully wrong.
I would love to see Tulsi or Vivek as VP in office, but Trump-First Donny will disappoint and pick someone who can 1) help him electorally get re-elected so he can pardon himself and 2) will be more of a lapdog sub-servant while in office. VP candidates such as Ben Carson, Scott, Noem, or Haley (i don’t rule her out!) fit this mold. He likes the good looking women lawyers, so he probably goes with Noem (if he selects a woman)
How is my view wrong?
Vivek wants to bomb Mexico, build a wall on Canadian border, institute a draft, make people pass a civics test when the idiot does not understand that Bombing Mexico would be an act of war.
What about that do you fail to understand?
He is an idiot.
How is building a wall on the Canadian Border idiotic, other than the costs, which certainly are not as idiotic as the egregious aid to Ukraine, or most other nations. Any “idiot” can figure out that if Mexico illegal immigration is closed, all enemies need to do is come in through Canada, which as a Socialist state would gladly provide even more support for such activities than do the nations of Central and South America. The time for “whack-a-mole” is past. The United States needs to secure our borders. Come to Texas and see for yourself the degradation of our State and Republic that is occurring. Fair points on your other criticisms of VR, except passing a civics test, which most Americans now need, depending on who is composing the test, of course.
I may not agree with Vivek on many issues, but, he is definitely NOT in the category of “idiot”.
Politically he is an idiot. That is a losing platform.
He clearly has talents elsewhere.
State a lie or strawman
Then make a conclusion based on said lie/strawman
What leftists do.
Where did he say he wanted to “bomb Mexico”?
Well, I am glad you asked
https://mishtalk.com/politics/vivek-ramaswamy-wants-to-raise-the-voting-age-to-25-good-idea/
And if you think I am a “Leftist” you have exposed yourself as either a dunce, or someone who has never read my blog before.
Noem: slightly better than Illinois Governor Fatso –
https://sdsos.gov/general-information/executive-actions/executive-orders/assets/2020-12.PDF
Thank you for this, and for linking the speech. I admire Gabbard tremendously; she’s a libertarian and a patriot. I hope I get a chance to vote for her as VP.
No she is not “libertarian”
I suppose your “typical Neanderthal” was pro-life. Otherwise how would we all be here?
Tulsi is a Hindu extremist, we don’t need another nut job.
Nonsense
No, it’s very true. Tulsi has strong links and financial backing by the RSS, India’s premiere Hindu extremist/paramilitary organization which is tearing that country apart. RSS have been active in America since the early 1970s through various Hindu American foundations (HSS, VHPA, OFBJP, etc)
Tulsi’s been trying for years to hide and downplay this but it’s too late.
America doesn’t need extremist trash like her.
https://pieterjfriedrich.medium.com/the-princess-of-the-rss-and-me-d067d64a424a
Tulsi will win in a landslide. She is the only person I would vote for. However, I don’t vote because it is useless. The election game is rigged to prevent the will of the people from rising to the top.
You have already given up then. You should consider marching straight to the death camp.
Any election ‘war game’ scenario must take into account an incumbent President Hillary BEFORE the election. Kamala will do well to avoid a guided tour by Podesta of John Wayne Gacy’s crawlspace while in Chicago.
RFK will choose Tulsi
Doesn’t surprise me;
USA TODAY, August 4, 2016: “Rep.
I predict Trump will go with Scott, a safe, solid choice.
I certainly support Scott as VP and would be proud to support him as subsequent President.
I support him because his is solid. I certainly hope is not “safe” as we already have a current occupant who claims that position.
One has to admire the flexibility of politicians like Tulsi Gabbard. As recently as 2018 she called Trump “Saudi Arabia’s bitch” because Trump was trading off basic decency for lower oil prices (and a future pay day for his son in law).
Dumbya should have traded Cheney to Chicago and had Sammy Sofa as his VP.
Cheney was the worst vice president we ever had.
She took on Hillary Big Time. Brave lady.
If everybody loves Trump why does he need an attractive lady who might shadow him and Melania, steal his show. She might make fun of him if/when his ratings are low. A fickle. I don’t think that Gamala ever called Biden an unfit, or a senile. Neither Dr Jill. Trump needs a man, not a man like St Pence.
No she didn’t call Biden unfit but she did say she believed the women accusing Biden of sexual harassment.
Politically what we need is a true thirdness greater oneness of the truths, workabilities and highest ethical consideration in the opposites of the TRADITIONAL republican and democratic parties. Having said that Trump is not traditional anything and a threat to the US and to the world on top of being an utter demagogue and a perveyor of anti-ethics while Biden is merely a threat to significant change. Gabbard has it backwards.
Running low on weed, eh?
Do you write Kamala’s speeches?
I don’t trust anyone who had any association with the WEF.
Wasn’t she also a graduate of the WEF Young Leaders program? I like a LOT of what she says, and would LOVE to see a one in one between her and Kamala. That being said…. we need to seriously be careful of ones hidden agendas and what their past can say about their future. People can change their views over time… see Reagan or even Trump…. but still, need to be careful
When Tulsi, Nicki, Dan Crenshaw and their comrades in arms denounce their role and the Marxist ideals of the World Economic Forum, maybe I’ll start to listen to their slithering soliloquies, until then, call bollocks and curse their enlightened BS.
Tulsi Gabbard on the World Economic Forum (youtube.com)
Right, and the WEF also did that to Vivek. Both of them have had to push back against assumptions being made.
There is a lot to like about Tulsi Gabbard, especially her thoughtfulness and NOT being a junior member of Neocon U. I would caution GOP that just because a Left leaning or Democrat type says some good things about an issue that we agree on that it doesn’t necessarily make them an ally. Still, there are way fewer alarm bells ringing over Tulsi than, for example, RFK Jr., fine on the vaccine tyranny but still an ENVIRONMENTAL LAWYER quite happy with strangling people’s property rights via the administrative state’s “regulaaaaations”. For a while many of my GOP friends went gaga over RFK while for me it was no thanks. Look at the whole person and background, not just your favorite pet issue position.
There is a huge difference between wanting to be s responsible steward if the environment and being a climate fanatic. RFK has been clear that we should not unilaterally kill our economy.
Hopefully, voters will listen to what RFK actually says as opposed to how he is characterized. If they do he will win – he is unquestionably the most qualified candidate in terms of intellect and ability to learn.
What he said was we’re going to keep getting more & more powerful Cat 4 & Cat 5 hurricanes back in 2006. The next year, there were none.
He hasn’t said much about climate recently, but until he issues a retraction, he’s still in the climate cult.
Don’t forget ramatwat is a Indian so don’t vote for him on that too. Damn so is Kamala and Tulsi “I can never get even .one delegate ” Gabbard
Big improvement over Harris lol
“Our democracy is under attack. The perpetrator of this attack are those who in the name of saving our democracy are destroying it.”
That sums it up nicely. Democrats are attacking democracy.
“Where is the base going besides nowhere? The base will not decide the next election.
The more Trump can distance himself from the base, the better his chances.”
Couldn’t agree with you more. I don’t know about the rest of the country, but the Republicans I’ve talked to here in KY will vote for whoever has an “R” behind his or her name. Wouldn’t matter if it was Trump, Desantis, or (heaven forbid) Haley.
But I still don’t think Trump would pick Gabbard, though he may talk to her about it. And I don’t think she’d accept being on the Trump ticket. I still think she’s better suited to an RFK Jr ticket.
Who voted for Beshear fir governor against the republican’s magic negro?
I didn’t, but you’d be surprised. I traveled over a lot of Kentucky last year and talked to several RINO voters (I use that R word deliberately in this case, normally I don’t like using that word). At one stop where I was working a festival with a kiddie train ride with a friend, Kelly Craft (a primary candidate) stopped by to see the train. Later on, one mom put her kids on the train, and while it was going, I mentioned to her that Kelly Craft stopped by. She turned up her nose and said, “I like Andy. I like how he handled the pandemic. And I’m a Republican.” I wanted to hurl. But I think we can all be quite sure that she wasn’t the only one.
Kentucky was probably the first state called for Trump in 2020 (at least by one network), and could be the first this year as well. Some counties went as much as 80% for Trump last time out. Why they went for Bozo, er, Beshear is beyond me.
Putin says he approves this post.
Putin says he prefers Biden.
Smearnov thinks otherwise. And he works for Putin.
Putin pals didnt donate 10 mil to the Trump or Gabbard Foundation.
They did donate 10 mil to the Clinton Foundation
Putin donated the 2016 election to Trump. Read page 1 of the Mueller report.
I like Gabbard a lot but she’s not going to be the pick. It’s all about getting the votes, so the VP pick will be based on polls. Gabbard is a former Democrat. Therefore, Democrats won’t vote for her, Republicans won’t vote for her, and Libertarians won’t vote for her. Christ forgives; voters do not.
Also since the new standard practice is that all presidents face impeachment, the VP pick has to be impeachment insurance as Kamala is. You need a VP choice that congress absolutely could not get behind in sufficient numbers or the president goes down.
Ronald Reagan was a former Democrat. Republicans voted for him. Trump was too. He is now the leader of the Republican Party. Leftists won’t vote Republican, but Trump just had a meeting with the Teamsters Union and some Democrat Teamsters may cross over to vote Trump, regardless who his VP will be.
The standard of practice now is the Intelligence Community interfering in our election. The CIA/IC were illegally spying on 26 Trump associates in 2016, even before the FBI FISA spying.
In addition there is Google. https://brownstone.org/articles/google-has-usurped-democracy/
You can be successfully impeached without being removed (see Bill Clinton). So the VP pick is not impeachment insurance at all. Its only insurance against the president dying or being forced from office like Nixon was.
The person getting picked as VP needs to bring something to the table voting wise. Either deliver women voters, minority voters or a specific battleground state (ie be from that state). She brings women voters. Ramaswamy bring Ohio and so on.
I don’t now, I just don’t know.
There’s no doubt Tulsi loves God, loves the country, has that spark of charisma, and can actually speak presidentially; seems to be a lost art.
My fear is, can she handle Trump or would she be handled by him?
Picking Tulsi for VP would certainly make this 2024 presidential race a hell of alot more interesting and promising, no doubt about it.
Why would she need to handle him?
Her primary role would be the same as Harris’s is, dealing with the border crises. If she succeeds there then she’d be in a great position to be the Republican candidate in 2028.
Disbandment of the union is the only solution at this point. It’s become our Israeli-Palestinian conflict. There is no middle ground, there will be no peace. The outsiders have won.
Bit of an exaggeration don’t you think?
Do you really believe we are going to vote our way out?
I’d lime to see a return to something like the Articles of Confederation.
If she accepts she opens herself up to being relentlessly prosecuted by Putin’s choice as President senile Joe Biden and his Gestapo Justice department. Which has also set up RFK for assassination by denying him Secret Service protection and changing the rules…the latest being Kansas.
The problem with the current presidency is that if the president is incapacitated, even if his performance is disastrous, the vice presidency would bring the country even lower. If Trump becomes president and Tulsi Gabbard vice president it would be exactly the opposite.
I wonder who picked Kamala Harris as VP for him? If a reasonably competent VP had been selected then Biden would have already been set out to pasture.
wall street.
This one is widely known. Obama.
If it’s known that JB didn’t pick his veep then it should be equally known that DT won’t be picking his veep either. Gabbard *will* be his veep, but he won’t be making the choice. He might *think* he’s making the choice, like JB, but the stakes are too high now for either fools to be allowed to make their own choices on much of anything anymore.
In the moment pick.
She could attract Democrats that are disillusioned with what the Democrat Party has become and there are a lot of them. That she is a woman will help get the women vote. That she is an attractive woman can’t hurt either.
